Alan Longmuir,(b.June 20 1949,Edinburgh,Scotland) was the bass guitarist for the massively successful pop group the Bay City Rollers.He is the elder brother of the group's drummer,Derek Longmuir.

Latterly in poor health,he suffered a heart attack in 1995 and a stroke in 1997.
