By 2026, 3.5 million computing-related job openings are expected. At the current rate, only 17% of these jobs could be filled by US computing bachelor's degree recipients.

While the number of women attending college is at an all-time high, the percentage of those women who graduate with degrees in technology-related disciplines is less than 1%, compared with 6% of men.

Over the past 20 years, the percentage of computer science degrees awarded to women has been declining steeply—from 37% to 18%.
If we can move the 0.9 percent of women who major in computer science closer to 5 percent nationally, it would double the number of computer science-educated students entering the workforce.”
