- These are geography reference sets, meant for libraries. The Grolier Society sets prior to the 1970s were in 7 volumes and organized differently, and so are placed in another series. From 1973 on, the volume organization is: v. 1. Africa, v. 2. Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Oceania, v. 3-4. Europe, v. 5. North America, v. 6. Central and South America, and sometimes extra volumes for Index and Special Editions covering particular political topics: Facts and figures, Special edition: Crisis in the Middle East, Special edition: Upheaval in Europe. Antarctica was added into Vol. 6 in the 1990s. (English, Unclassified)
