First, congratulations to the Levy Family (read the credits carefully) and the entire cast and crew. If you liked Seinfeld you will "get" this show! I have watched the first four episodes and it only gets better. Eugene Levy, as always, is perfect. Catherine O'Hara as the neurotic Mom, again, perfect. The two kids, Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy, epitomize spoiled rich kids. The "townies" are all great but I want to mention two in particular (again, I am only on episode 4): Chris Elliott (Mayor Schitt), enough said and Emily Hampshire (Stevie Budd, motel clerk) OUTSTANDING! Geez, even the bit part players are perfect. Check out the scene in S1 E4 when David is training as a bag boy at the grocery store. IMHO anyone who rates this below a 10 does not have a sense of humor!
A 2018 remake of Remington Steele in reverse. Character interaction reminds me of NCIS and if the writers allow characters to grow and introduce some new ones from time to time I bet this one is around for a while. I gotta mention, has anyone else noticed how much Eddies eye's and facial expressions look like the late, great "Rifleman", Chuck Connors? Giving it an 8 and if all goes well could be a 10!
Not really sure why people are saying "more of the same". I have only watched a few episodes but find it well above average in general. A few "tech" issues like how the gov't group can constantly hear all his conversations. Maybe missed them planting bugs in every location he will be in the future? Also, as someone who has followed people in a vehicle for a living, the good and bad guys do a lousy job. You use multiple vehicles, usually something like a Toyota Corolla, not a big van, and one vehicle falls off and another takes it's place every few blocks. But this is TV, not real life so will give them pass on that. Worth watching.
