The makers of this cinematic marvel treated it with utmost respect, love and calmness that it shows on screen as an ethereal, transcendental, godly experience.

Very well thought out pauses, moments of awe, wonder, total bliss. Exceptional cinematic choices of blurring luminaries visiting Jesus to gift him that would have distracted us from story from point of view of Mary and Joseph, or even wind gushing when Lucifer appears, or change in background score according to King Herod asserting dominance, or even to range his anguish.

Although not entirely factually correct. Well ! Only God knows the exact real history. But this is by far a very sincere effort to present the story of Mother Mary with love and respect.

This is what a SciFi movie should be. Most movies that call them of this genre miss the most important part, which is "science". I am a huge SciFi nerd and I really wonder why I didn't hear of this before. It easily is in my top 5 SciFi films, with 2001: a space odyssey being at top. Throughout the movie I was in awe how they built the set, so meticulously. It was really a shame it didn't win the oscars for art direction or set design. It was way ahead of its time.

It is not a slow burner as most complain coz look at all the tech and mystery, loads of it are in the movie, especially at start and people of 1971, actually even 2024 needed some time to think, be in awe, ponder over them, instead of being bombarded with facts and numbers to sound (pseudo) intelligent (as modern movies do). Pacing does pick up gradually, like an approaching vehicle (Doppler effect). I am pretty sure it was intentional.

A must watch for any SciFi fan and a true classic.

Wonderfully made. Beauty of a movie is when the viewer forgets that the character is acting. It applies to all the 3 leads and also the matron. The pacing is just right as it should be. Everybody knows the ending and I am so glad the writers didn't force any unnatural twist & turn that could sway away from main theme, like romantic angles, politics, etc. The dialogues are perfect. The cinematography is awesome with amazing backdrops and unique camera angles to show the risk taking aspect of 3 leads. The background score is also very good, especially the one at the very end.

The movie is written, directed, acted and made with love & joy and it reflects when you watch it.

Every couple who ever went through the process of IVF, will relate so much that they will jerk tears of "Joy". This movie reinforces belief in God.

God indeed works in mysterious ways and such scientists are indeed his hands.
