It was funnier when it was called Seinfeld. That being said, it's not bad. The situations are funny and not too over the top. Like I said above, it's Seinfeld lite. Rachel Ramras is Elaine. Hugh Davidson is Seinfeld. Larry Dorf is George. The main difference is that they all work together as comedy writers. Melissa Mcarthy plays an overarching loonier version of her self (think George Steinbrenner) that's pretty funny. It's all been seen before but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'd have continued to watch it if it stayed on the air but I wouldn't have saved the date like I did for Seinfeld.

Well, sounded like a good idea. Unfortunately it wasn't to be. A show for insiders that insiders won't ever be interested in watching. The actors are talented but tend to be trying to hard to the point of self indulgence that perhaps their partners find humorous, but unlikely anyone else does.

It is a shame when so much talent just does not come together. The director needs to put these actors over his knee.

But then, that's another story. lol

I found this show to be very close to the real struggles that Comedians and actors face while trying to make it into the business. Of course a lot of it is a bit dramatized and made funnier for our entertainment. But I also saw some funny and awkward situations presented just like they would actually happen in real life. The three main characters wrong on you (yes, even Larry) and you end up ruining force them to make it big. I wish we would get more episodes/seasons of this funny and endearing show.

I am not sure how to describe this show. I saw the trailers for it and I thought it looked funny and interesting. Just watched the first few episodes and it really not funny at all. It is celebrities attempting to be humorous about other celebrities. I think they are trying way too hard to make it funny which well makes it not funny at all. I found myself not even wanting to watch the next episode. I don't know it looked promising but fell flat. I wanted to like it!

Love the show, very witty and well written. It's a pleasure to watch a show that isn't formulaic with that obnoxious canned laughter.

This show is supposed to be a comedy, and while the actors are certain that they are hysterically funny, there is nothing actually funny about this show at all.

There is this pause after every "funny" line while they wait for you to finish laughing, but I don't think any one IS laughing, unless it's to say "holy crap that was lame".

It's like watching a reality show about 3 incredibly boring people, none of has an actual personality.

To compare this show with any character from Seinfeld, The Dick Van Dyke show or the 3 Stooges is an insult to those respective shows.

This is written by unfunny people, acted by unfunny people and watched by who knows what type of troglodyte.

I love that so many of the poor reviewers have watched the entire first season. I mean, seriously, it's like some of the guest celebrities from Season 1 are still trying to get these Nobodies. It's a great show.

I've watched all the episodes so far, and I just don't get what the appeal of this mess is. It seems like they just keep doing the same sort of thing, again and again, and it goes nowhere. The guest stars haven't been all that great either. It's kind of like the episodes of "Mash" where Sidney the shrink comes to the 4077th, just painful. The thing about Mash was, the episodes without him were mostly pretty good, not this train wreck.

Actors playing a fictionalized parody-esque version of themselves? Stop the presses, the fresh new format for the year 2000 is here. Again. So-so performances and and blah story will be outweighed by the celebrity wow-factor of the impressive list of guest stars, right? No, and the regulars has so very little going for them. This is not the worst show on TV by any means but it is very forgettable and just reminds you of better shows that succeeded in what this one is trying to do.

Who are these people giving this smart, funny show such low ratings? It's obvious that this show is above your capacity for humor. For those of you born a true ability to appreciate well-written humor, funny plots, and a creative cast, then Nobodies is your kind of show. If you can't find the funny in this terrific sitcom, then consider sticking to old episodes of Webster, Alf or The Brady Brides -- shows like those would probably be much more suited to tickle your particular funny bone.

Watched all episodes and really, really wanted to like this...love McCarthy. it seem like they are going for a level of uncomfortable comedy like the Larry David show but the characters just come off too socially awkward, annoying and unlikeable. The bumbling mishaps are predictable even after only 2 episodes. Never really laughed once.

I heard about this show from a friend and it is very funny. The writing is fantastic and multiple scenes caught me totally off guard and made me laugh out loud. Wish there were more seasons.

I love the show wish they find another network and have a couple more seasons and McCarty is just funny as he'll so is her real life husband the rest of the cast is WONDERFUL

This is a true depiction of most people who are trying to catch their big break in the industry. You have to do things that most probably no one ever sees until you develop that one great idea! These characters interact so well together; the chemistry is palpable. I love how they talk over each other - just brilliant. In my comedic eyes (& ears) this is one innovative, well-acted, directed, written TV show, and TV Land, I salute you for airing it!

The constant embarrassment of idiotic and faceless main characters makes you cringe. Could not even complete the first episode. It is horrid.

I have only seen the two episodes broadcast so far, and each of them have been really good. The desperation of three television writers to get a show produced hinges on their loose affiliation with Melissa McCarthy, whose name they drop during meetings with TV executives. At present, they are writing for an animated kids show called "The Fartlemans." (I think that is the name; it's something with "fart" in it) Their attempt to move past that particular writing credit and launch a new show has them doing some fast-talking to Hollywood big shots. This is such a good parody of that entire industry. If you like Melissa McCarthy-type humor, you will love this. Though MM's husband, Ben Falcone, has appeared in several episodes, MM has not as yet appeared, but I'm sure she will and am looking forward to that, whenever it happens. Falcone and McCarthy are producing this show. In the meantime, Nobodies is a riot, and I hope others will tune in for it.

Great cast, characters, plot lines, and behind the scenes of the television industry.

If someone is a fan of Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, Jason Bateman, or any of the other celebs that show up here and there throughout the episodes, then they should enjoy this show! But that's not the only reason this show is worth watching. The three main characters are funny and they've got a great chemistry. I personally hope this show can hang in there and build a fan base. I'm already one. I paid for a season pass to be able to watch it online. Keep at it, you guys! This is a great show!

Imagine you have three script writers for a comedy show, like "The Dick Van Dyke Show", but none of them are named Buddy. In fact, they are named Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf, and Rachel Ramras.

This trio is always arguing, like siblings, or like The Three Stooges, but they don't poke each other in the eyes. But like the Stooges, there is a manic stupidity that allows them to continually make bad choices or say things without thinking them through.

This quarrelsome threesome might remind you of characters from "Seinfeld", but none of them are named Cosmo. For their names, see above. But they are very Seinfeldian. Except that when someone sneezes when talking, they don't refer to him as a "sneeze talker". Seriously, these three are as funny as Jerry (Hugh), Elaine (Rachel, I guess, because of gender), and George or Kramer (Larry).

They are looking to sell their script for a comedy film and, realizing Hollywood is all about connections, they try to capitalize on every connection they have. And many they don't.

Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone are producers. They appear in the show, as do a raft of other Hollywood celebs who add another layer of fun.

Rachel is a master of malapropism. Larry is self-centered even more than the other two. And Hugh is both the brain and the conscience of the group, which is scary.

The humor is laugh out loud funny. My only complaint is that the episodes are too short--because I would love for them to be longer.

Update 6/1/17: I have decided to use the little known VDC (virtual doubling cube) that comes with IMDb membership, thereby changing my grade to "20". Rachel, Larry and Hugh are the best thing on television, especially if you aren't looking for sci-fi or horror. If only I could double the penetration that this show has in the marketplace, so more people could enjoy its pleasures.

Sorry, this is not going to be poetic. While not quite on the caliber of Sunny In PA. The cast has great chemistry,dialog is good. I want to see where it goes.I live way south of L.A. it is just I have always been interested in the film biz

It makes me laugh, I care about the characters. It is insightful and relevant. I have read some reviews from critics that are less than kind, and I can not believe they have really viewed the show as opposed to reading a synopsis about it. There are relationship dynamics, surprises and I literally laugh out loud. Highly recommended over much of what is on TV.

I was not sure at first that this show would be funny when I watched the first couple episodes of Nobodies, but now after watching the rest, I actually love it and cannot wait for this show to come on again in 2018. It is so hilarious, even though I wish the main characters could catch a break but I guess that's the point. It has such a great main trio and great guest actors. The summary/description of the show on IMDb does not do it justice. I probably would not even have watched it if I did not know TVLand is coming out with new shows instead of just reruns of old shows. GIVE IT A WATCH! You got to get past the first few episodes, if you are iffy on it like I was in the beginning, and then you'll see what I mean. Love it! Oh and a twisted ending...it does not end up how you would think. Best new show on TVLand. (Teachers was going great until the 2nd season. ..wtf was that? Same with Jim Gaffigan's show)

I've been pining for this show to return or be available elsewhere besides Prime pay per episode for 3 years! I believe this, and channel partner Teachers, suffered from lack of marketing and being placed on the incorrect channel. These 2 shows would've fared MUCH better on streaming, FOX, TRUTV(a nice addition with Tacoma FD & Impractical Jokers); anyplace other than TVLand. Feel like all the negativity (especially here, is grossly misdirected)
