Plot: Ride On tells the story of washed-up stuntman Luo (Jackie Chan). When Luo’s trusty horse Red Hare becomes the focus of a debt dispute, Luo repairs his relationship with his estranged daughter Bao (Liu Haocun). Moreover, with the help of Bao’s boyfriend, Mickey (Kevin Guo), the team of “three people and one horse” set out to protect their family and loved ones. The action choreography in the film is a homage to Jackie Chan’s classic stunts from his previous movies.
Review: It’s hard to watch your heroes get old. However, that also happens to be a plot point and one of the themes in the new Jackie Chan action dramedy Ride On. Chan’s recent string of films has been somewhat hit or miss. He proclaimed that his last all-out action film that recaptures the spirit of his heyday was going to be the third...

With plenty of genre efforts already made, it would seem very few original ideas are left in the ground to unearth for zombie films yet the concept of mixing together ‘The Raid: Redemption’ with ‘Fight Club’ is certainly an intriguing mixture. Nowhere near as unique or creative as it could’ve been but still highly enjoyable nonetheless, this mashup from emerging Taiwanese genre director Joe Chien has a lot to like due to that.
Arriving at an ordinary apartment building, police officer Andy and his team, Captain Ma and Li Wei find the rumors are true in that they’ve been unleashed into a zombie outbreak. Trying to fight their way through the horde of zombies inside, several other survivors Jenny and David also manage to stay alive inside the building and together fight their way to safety, only to see several years later that the zombie...

As of February 5, 2010 – The Shinjuku Incident (San suk si gin) will be hitting Us theaters as a limited release. Why does this matter? This dramatic action flick comes from director Derek Yee and stars Jackie Chan in what a lot of people are buzzing about as his first “serious” dramatic role as an actor. Not sure if I agree with that 100%, but certainly do get the premise of the statement. The film already has a solid 7.3/10 rating on IMDb and the story sounds pretty good. Check out the trailer and poster below.

New Chan Movie 'Too Violent' For China Release
Jackie Chan's new movie will not be released in China - because its director Derek Yee has deemed it "too violent" for the country's cinema-goers.
The action man appears in Shinjuku Incident, a Chinese-language film which stars Chan as a refugee who escapes to Japan and gets embroiled in the local gang culture.
The $25 million (£17 million) movie features several gruesome scenes, including one character getting his hand chopped off and being stabbed with knives.
And while Yee believes the picture would pass China's strict censorship laws, he fears the violence would be too shocking for local audiences in a country that has no age restriction for movie releases.
He says, "We tried to cut the violent scenes to meet the requirements of the Chinese market, but producers I invited to watch that version thought it was incomplete. For us, the problem was just the violence."
Yee adds that Chan, who has invested some of his own money in the movie, agreed with his decision.
Shinjuku Incident will be released in Chan's native Hong Kong and southeast Asia in April, and in Japan in May.

Chan's partners deny falling out
HONG KONG -- Jackie Chan's longtime business partners are denying reports of a falling out that could destroy one of the longest partnerships in the Hong Kong film industry.
Hong Kong and Chinese media reported that Willie Chan and Solon So, partners of Jackie Chan at JC Group, have resigned from their respective posts of CEO and senior vp.
But So denied reports about a falling out, stating that the Chinese reports about the split are rumors. "Jackie Chan's business is expanding. Apart from the entertainment side, there are restaurants, cafes and the distribution deal with Segway cars. There will be a further expansion, and the company will be hiring more people," he told The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. "Besides, Willie and I are producers of Jackie's new film The Shinjuku Incident, now in production," he said.
Rumors are rife after reports in Hong Kong newspapers Oriental Daily and the Sun appeared Tuesday, saying that the kung fu star was splitting with So and Willie Chan, his manager and partner for more than 30 years.
