One of the biggest moments of Vma Weekend has come courtesy of Death Cab for Cutie, who didn't even appear on the show itself. But the band did premiere their brand-new single right here, from one of the most hotly anticipated soundtracks of the year: "Meet Me on the Equinox," the first single from the soundtrack to "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," the extended trailer of which also premiered on the VMAs on Sunday (September 13).
The song is vintage Death Cab, centered on a swirling guitar riff and supported by twitchy, heavy drums.
