Doug Davis is an entertainment attorney, entrepreneur, multi-Grammy Award winning record producer, a multi-Emmy winning TV & film producer and event producer. Mr. Davis is the founder of The Davis Firm, PLLC, one of the preeminent entertainment law firms in the country; the Co-Founder of Tiger Turn, a TV production company and marquee Jazz and instrumental music label; and is the founder of DJDMP, a record, TV and film production company and publishing administrator. For 18 years Mr. Davis has been the executive producer of the legendary annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala. Mr. Davis is known in the entertainment business as a renowned dealmaker and networker. The Davis Firm focuses primarily on the music industry's most successful executives, artists, record producers, songwriters, as well as television production companies, video game companies, clothing/brand companies, actors and some of newest trend making painters. As a producer, has won two Emmys in 2024 for producing Trace Adkins's "Town of Heroes" about the devastating 2021 Kentucky tornadoes and Musical Composition/Arrangement for Neuva Bossa Nova. Mr. Davis has won four Grammys for co-producing, along with Multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winning producer Kabir Sehgal, the critically acclaimed and 3X Grammy Award winning album American Dreamers: Voices of Hope, Music of Freedom by John Daversa, which featured the performances of 53 DACA recipients, The Omni-American Book Club: My Journey Through Literature in Music by Brian Lynch, Four Questions by Arturo O'Farrill & The Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra featuring Dr. Cornell West and Fandango At The Wall In New York by Arturo O'Farrill & The Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra featuring The Conga Patria Son Jarocho Collective. Mr. Davis produced the historic "We(LOVE)NYC: The Homecoming Concert" in New York City's Central Park which drew 65,000 people, and executive produced the TV show on CNN to historically high ratings around the globe. Mr. Davis was the Executive Producer, along with television legend Ken Ehrlich, of the all-star Aretha Franklin Memorial concert and network TV special Aretha! A Grammy Celebration for the Queen of Soul which aired on CBS and won the night's ratings in a primetime timeslot, and the Paramount+ mini-series "Clive Davis: Most Iconic Performances." Mr. Davis is a member of the Producer's Guild and a voting member of the Television Academy and Recording Academy. s a songwriter, Mr. Davis has created original compositions for film, television shows and commercials, as well as themes for WWE, He-Man and films and TV series for Paramount, Netflix and Disney. Mr. Davis co-curated, along with street art legend Roger Gastman, Work In Progress, an art gallery and marketplace event (the sold-out 2015 Los Angeles edition featured artists Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, POSE, Revok, Sage Vaughn and others). In 2009, Mr. Davis fulfilled a lifetime dream and became a licensed NBA player agent and has successfully represented star and veteran players. Mr. Davis has been featured in stories in and for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Billboard, ESPN The Magazine and The New York Post, amongst others. In 2018, Mr. Davis received Variety's highest honor for an attorney in being named its Lawyer of the Year at Variety's annual Power Of Law gala. In each of the last 7 years, Billboard proclaimed Mr. Davis one of the Top Music Lawyers, he was recognized in each of the last 5 editions of The Best Lawyers in America© for Entertainment Law - Music, receiving Best Lawyers 2021 Entertainment Lawyer Of The Year award for Music, and and is an yearly selection to Super Lawyers. Mr. Davis received a J.D. from Fordham Law School and a B.A. from the renowned Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Passionately committed to giving back, and featured by Billboard in its 2016 philanthropy issue, Mr. Davis has sat on boards of the Music For Youth Foundation, the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University and F*ck Cancer, which focuses on prevention and early detection of cancer. In 2020, Mr. Davis received the prestigious Music Visionary Award from the UJA, one of the music industry's highest honors. In 2016, Mr. Davis was the recipient of the Corporate Hero Award from debra of America and served as a co-Chair of the NY RENS Gala. In 2015, Mr. Davis was the distinguished honoree of the American Cancer Society's Riviera Ball. In 2014, Mr. Davis received the prestigious Amsterdam News Education Foundation Entrepreneur Award at the Amsterdam News' 105th Anniversary Gala, and was the Honorary Chair of the Carcinoid Cancer Awareness Network's Celebration Of Life gala.
