Director, screenwriter and producer of the short film "Love is now the stardust of yesterday..." and the documentaries "Neville D'Almeida - Chronicler of Beauty and Chaos" and "Ivan, The TerrirBle". "Neville D'Almeida - Chronicler of Beauty and Chaos" was selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2018 and That's all True 2018, the most important Documentary Film Festival of Latin America. "Neville D'Almeida - Chronicler of Beauty and Chaos" has received the Impact Docs 2018 prize and Best Director of an International Documentary at the Jakarta Film Festival 2018. The film was also selected for the 2018 São Paulo Festival, 2018 Victory Festival and the Cineuropa Festival Competitive Show in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Mario is the founder and curator of the Rio Fantastik Festival - The Rio de Janeiro International Fantastic Film Festival. A journalist, researcher and film critic for the newspaper O Globo. He is the creator and presenter of the column "Thinking About Cinema" shown on the newscast of TV Bandeirantes and on the local radio BandNews Rio FM. He was the president of the jury of The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015 and Berlin 2018. He also has been a member of the jury of the Rio, Montreal, Cuba, Palm Springs, San Francisco and Dubai festivals.
