Briones Bio Sergio Guido Briones, founder of Briones Brothers Entertainment, calls upon a productive three-dimensional career that embodies directing, writing and performing. He has a long list of credits that demonstrates the fortitude of his craft. His broad knowledge of the industry and his devotion to the arts whether on film or television is expressed in his many accomplishments. Briones began his career in the film community more than 35 years ago. Over the scope of his career, he has been directing, writing, producing and acting in award-winning films, and hit television series in Ecuador, Miami, and Atlanta. He has won numerous awards and he has achieved a great deal in the years he's been working in the industry, while nurturing his career globally. Briones is an award-winning director. He was honored with the Premio Diomante at the Premios Diamantes in Ecuador (The Ecuadorian Oscars) for Game by Game. His film Cuento sin Hadas was honored with the Best Director Award and Best Film Producer by the city of Miami and also received acclaim in Ecuador for Best Director at the Video Control Internacional. Briones was also recognized by the Ecuadorian Embassy as an official ambassador representing Film Makers in the United States. As an actor, Briones began his career in Ecuador where he played the leads in the feature films A FLOR DE PIEL, and JUEGO DE TRAICIONES, He is known to television viewers around the world for his role as Roberto in the acclaimed telenovela AMOR DESCARADO. He also played impressive characters on other hit series including a waiter on BAJO LAS RIENDAS DEL AMOR, Gabriel on PRISIONERA, a Detective on ANITA NO TE RAJES, a S.W.A.T. Policeman and "Red Fist" on MCGUYVER, a C.T.U. agent on 24 LEGACY, and killer, Ralph Salerno on KILLER COUPLES. Briones is a man of vision who has a talent for analyzing the human condition and chooses to bring difficult themes to life on screen. He deliberately chooses topics that may not be easy to face, but he allows the audience to connect vicariously to certain aspects of their own life they may not otherwise allow themselves to consider through the trials and tribulations his lead characters overcome. To date, he has Produced and Directed 4 feature films and a web series, and is working on another feature film. Born in Guayaquil, Briones studied Law at Eloy Alfaro of Manta and went on to study Directing and Producing at Emerson College in Boston. Briones also studied Meisner extensively with Sebastian Ligarde at TASL and continued honing his directing and acting skills at La Academia with Mickey Mata.
