Born and residing in Tampere, Finland, Jarkko Hietanen has been creating music since the late 90's. The first years were entirely independent electronic artist based but soon the idea of writing music for visual content started to interest him.
Since then Jarkko has written music for feature films, numerous short films, documentaries and has had music placed in advertisement for such clients as Porsche, Rolls Royce and Monster. Also his diverse catalog of TV music has landed placements in shows all over the world on HBO, Netflix, VICE, BBC, NBC, CBS, CNN, Discovery and on European and Asian networks.
Today Jarkko runs his trade name Unlimitune and works mainly as a film and TV composer utilizing interesting outboard analog & digital musical gear together with software while sometimes mixing in interesting and unorthodox acoustic instruments to create fresh and cutting-edge music for various media productions.
