Today, premium network MGM+ released a first-look teaser for Godfather of Harlem Season 4, coming to the linear and streaming service on April 13.

From Chris Brancato, creator of Narcos and Hotel Cocaine, the fourth season stars Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker as Bumpy Johnson, alongside Ilfenesh Hadera, Lucy Fry, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Erik Laray Harvey, Michael Raymond James, Elvis Nolasco and Erik Palladino.

The new season introduces Frank Lucas, portrayed by Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor Rome Flynn. The first three seasons are currently available to stream on MGM+.

Exclusive: Rome Flynn is set to portray real-life drug lord Frank Lucas in the upcoming fourth season of the MGM+ series Godfather of Harlem, in an origin story of sorts from an era that has evaded both TV and film projects like the Denzel Washington-led American Gangster.

Flynn will bring to life a pivotal moment in Lucas’ life—going from “a country boy from North Carolina” to starting a new life in Harlem. The Gotham Film & Media Institute has unveiled the three tribute recipients to be honored at the Gotham TV Awards. Mariska Hargitay will receive the Anniversary Tribute for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” Peter Morgan will receive the Creator Tribute for “The Crown” and Lulu Wang will receive the Spotlight Tribute for “Expats.” The tributes will be presented during the inaugural ceremony on June 4 at Cipriani 25 in New York City.

The MGM+ original drama series “Godfather of Harlem” has cast “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “How to Get Away with Murder” actor Rome Flynn as a recurring guest star during the show’s upcoming fourth season.

Flynn will portray Frank Lucas, a country boy from North Carolina who ventures to Harlem and, after initial friction with gangster Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker), eventually rises to become Bumpy’s fiercest defender and right-hand man.

Academy Award winner Denzel Washington first portrayed Frank Lucas in the 2007 film “American Gangster,” which is loosely based on the criminal background of the real-life gangster who operated a drug empire in New York City during the late 1960s and early 1970s. In the TV series, the character’s story will begin ten years earlier than in the film.

Godfather of Harlem has added a new recurring guest star for season four. Rome Flynn (With Love) will appear in the upcoming episodes of the crime drama. Season three finished airing in March of 2023, and MGM+ renewed the series for its fourth season in November. Ten episodes are being produced.

The series, which stars Forest Whitaker, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ilfenesh Hadera, Lucy Fry, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Giancarlo Esposito, Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Raymond-James, and Jason Alan Carvell, follows the life of Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker) as he fights to take back Harlem after being in prison for 11 years.

Netflix Releases Trailer for “The Crown” Season 6, Part 2

Netflix has released the trailer for the second and final half of “The Crown” Season 6, concluding the reign of the award-winning period drama.

Part 2 of the final season, which premiered its first four episodes on Nov. 16, will pick up in the aftermath of Princess Diana’s death as Queen Elizabeth (played by Imelda Staunton) must reflect on her life and legacy and pave the way for her successors, Charles and William.

Seal Team is expanding its ranks, adding Raffi Barsoumian (Legends of Tomorrow) as a new series regular for Season 6 of the Paramount+ drama.

The actor will play Omar, “a Senior Chief with 15 years of experience as a Seal,” our sister site Deadline reports. “The son of Syrian immigrants, Omar has a deep understanding of the Middle East, and calls upon that knowledge to help navigate missions in the region.”
