A small-town pastor is forced to reckon with an act of forgiveness when the convict he forgave for murdering his wife returns to town five years later and comes to work for him, much to the anger of the preacher’s son. Meanwhile, the town sheriff investigates another murder that may be related.
Opening with Cress Williams’ preacher, Marshall, washing blood off his hands in a convenience store sets the stage for the mysteries of What Remains, even though the focus of the film is really the relationship between Williams’ preacher and his son (Marcus Gladney Jr.) – both of whom are struggling with the loss of a wife and mother. And the latter who can’t seem to be...

"One bad dream can't ruin everything." Or maybe it can?? XYZ Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror thriller film titled Presence, marking the narrative feature debut of up-and-coming filmmaker Christian Schultz. This initially premiered at Panic Fest and will be out on VOD in November next month. Two young business partners are invited to a week-long private yachting voyage with a potential investor. At night, Jennifer's dreams begin to bleed into reality as the others realize that Jennifer may have unknowingly brought something sinister on-board. What dark secrets is she hiding from them? This stars Jenna Lyng Adams, Dave Davis, Alexandria DeBerry, Major Dodge, & Octavio Pisano. Unsurprisingly the film looks entirely unoriginal, with plenty of cliche tropes, topped off with a rich guy and a big yacht. Watch out. ›››

"Push the red button." Yep that's all it takes to defeat them! Voltage Pictures has revealed an official trailer for a survival thriller titled Stowaway, formerly known as The Yacht. Both of these titles are bland and boring, neither really works. There was already this sci-fi survival thriller called Stowaway on Netflix a few years ago anyway. A tenacious party girl fights to survive after three thieves commandeer her luxury yacht. Described as similar to Die Hard or Panic Room but on a yacht. The indie film stars Ruby Rose, Frank Grillo, Emma Maddock, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Luis Da Silva Jr., & Major Dodge. Aside from the trailer showing most of the film, including what the thieves are after, this is just a bad trailer. Why does every shot in this look so dark?! Everything on the boat is so poorly shot it's hard to see anything happening. Here's the official trailer for Declan Whitebloom's Stowaway,...

Stars: Akasha Villalobos, Jill Young, Major Dodge, Peggy Schott, Bjorgvin Arnarson | Written and Directed by Neil McCay
Trip has barely begun when a conversation about softball and scholarships between Ally and her daughter Samantha takes a horrific turn. The girl starts talking about a mysterious figure, has a meltdown, and then kills herself by tearing her eyes out.
Needless to say, this takes quite a toll on Ally who blames herself. Her husband Michael isn’t the most supportive of partners and she’s soon a shut-in living on booze and pills. Eventually, she falls under the influence of Jan a somewhat unorthodox therapist who gives her a hallucinogenic tea that will allow her to see Samantha again and find closure. Unfortunately, it also means she can see other spirits as well, including the one that pushed her daughter to kill herself.

"You need to be willing to put yourself at risk." Vertical Ent. has released another official US trailer for The Seventh Day, a freaky new Australian exorcism thriller from filmmaker Justin P. Lange (The Dark). This looks like many other exorcism thrillers but with a few clever twists, as Guy Pearce plays Father Peter, a renown exorcist training younger priests. He teams up with a rookie priest and takes him out on his first day of training - identifying possession and learning the rites of exorcism. As they plunge deeper into hell on earth, the lines between good and evil blur, and their own demons emerge. With Keith David, Stephen Lang, Robin Bartlett, Heath Freeman, Hannah Alline, Major Dodge, and Vadhir Derbez. This still looks like Training Day with exorcists, which is a pretty cool concept to play around with. Take a look. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Justin P.

"Some doors should stay closed." Madman Films in Australia has unveiled the first official trailer for The Seventh Day, a new exorcism thriller from filmmaker Justin P. Lange (The Dark). This almost looks a bit like Training Day meets exorcisms, as Guy Pearce plays Father Peter, a renown exorcist training younger priests. He teams up with a rookie priest for his first day of training - identifying possession and learning the rites of exorcism. As they plunge deeper into hell on earth, the lines between good and evil blur, and their own demons emerge. Of course, it's always something like this. Also starring Keith David, Stephen Lang, Robin Bartlett, Heath Freeman, Hannah Alline, Major Dodge, and Vadhir Derbez. As a first look trailer, this is creepy and thrilling and hints that this be something worthwhile watching this year. Here's the first Australian trailer for Justin P. Lange's The Seventh Day,...

Gravitas has released an official trailer for an indie drama titled Neon Days, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Sheldon Maddux. The cast includes Eric Hanson, Glenn Morshower, Jason P. Kendall, Major Dodge, Matthew Graham Wagner, and Meagan Harris.
