Biography

With a career spanning nearly 25 years, Allison Hagendorf is an accomplished music journalist, television host, live announcer, and member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nominating Committee.

In 2023, she launched The Allison Hagendorf Show, a weekly video podcast featuring interviews with some of the most iconic musicians, actors, and personalities, including Keanu Reeves, Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett, Tom Morello, WILLOW, Jillian Michaels, Nandi Bushell, Paris Jackson, & YUNGBLUD. A highly sought-after industry thought leader, Allison has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Variety, Fast Company, People, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Marie Claire.

Previously, Allison served as the Global Head of Rock at Spotify, as well as the Host and Executive Producer of the Spotify Original Series, Rock This with Allison Hagendorf, where her guests included Queen, Miley Cyrus, Foo Fighters, blink-182, & Machine Gun Kelly.

Allison started her career as an A&R executive at Columbia and Epic Records, before transitioning to a TV host and music journalist, interviewing artists and covering music news for Fuse Television Network. She has hosted The CW's music-competition show The Next, alongside celebrity judges Gloria Estefan, Joe Jonas, Nelly, and John Rich, as well as The X Games on ABC and ESPN, The Crossfit Games on ESPN, An Evening with Bon Jovi on AXS, and most recently, the televised Pre-Show for the final KISS concert LIVE from Madison Square Garden, A Conversation with Billy Corgan at The Grammy Museum and the premiere of Duran Duran's docu-concert film "A Hollywood High" at The Dolby Theatre. Starting in 2012, Allison became the Official Host of Times Square New Year's Eve for over one million revelers and over one billion global livestream viewers. An acclaimed live announcer and voiceover artist, Allison has served as the live announcer for Global Citizen's VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World, and the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards.
