Voltage will officially launch global sales for the film at the American Film Market (AFM) 2024. Wild Bunch is set to release the film in France in 2025.
Currently in post-production, O.T.H.E.R. is produced by Radar Films’ Clément Miserez and Matthieu Warter. Umedia’s Bastien Sirodot and Cloé Garbay are associate producers.

While Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* will assemble a mixture of heroes and villains, the movie isn't exactly following the comic books. In those, Baron Zemo assembles the Masters of Evil to pose as heroes, only for his teammates to eventually decide they really do want to do some good.
As of now, there's nothing to suggest Daniel Brühl will make an appearance as Zemo after last being shown behind bars in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
However, given his history with Wakanda and tactical brilliance, it's easy enough to imagine the various ways Valentina Allegra de Fontaine might be in cahoots with the Captain America: Civil War villain (which would make for one heck of a twist in this movie).
Appearing on the red carpet at the London Film Festival, Brühl was asked flat out if he'll make an appearance in Thunderbolts*. To that, he replied, "Next question!" with a laugh.

‘Thunderbolts*’ is certainly one of the most eagerly awaited upcoming projects in the MCU. The film will introduce a team similar to DC’s Suicide Squad, showcasing former villains and anti-heroes who are likely on a path to redemption within the MCU.
Moreover, the movie will feature Sentry, one of Marvel’s most formidable characters, played by Lewis Pullman.
Currently, not much is known about the movie’s plot, other than it will bring together former villains and anti-heroes. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, portrayed by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, will be at the heart of the story, presumably with her own questionable motives.
Recently, a Walt Disney blog shared an official synopsis for the film, which has a humorous tone that feels as if it was penned by Deadpool, featuring plenty of witty, self-deprecating humor and cheeky references.

Sebastian Stan is not here for the Marvel criticism and defends the studio as the MCU continues to transition.
The actor who is set to reprise his role of Bucky Barnes in Marvel’s Thunderbolts in 2025 has positive things to say about his time working with the studio.
“I’ve never been part of a company that puts so much heart and thought into anything,” Stan said in an interview with British GQ.
Marvel has been getting a lot of criticism for their latest films as they introduce new superheroes, but Stan makes note that there isn’t another studio to replicate what they have done.
“I think if Marvel was gone, it’d be such a big hole to try and fill up. Don’t just go out there and shit on something without offering something better,” he said.

Though we're pretty certain that Lewis Pullman is playing Sentry in Thunderbolts*, Marvel Studios has yet to make it official (and likely won't until the movie comes out), which means the actor is still unable to confirm his role during interviews.
Even so, the Salem's Lot star has managed to divulge some details while sidestepping anything too revealing, and spoke about his audition and the level of secrecy at Marvel during an interview with Variety.
It sounds like Pullman was surprised to get the opportunity to play Sentry(?) after The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun was forced to drop out of the role due to a scheduling conflict.
“It always felt like kind of an untouchable realm, kind of a cool kid’s table that I wasn’t sure if I’d ever get an invite to, or at least an invite to even try and be a part of,...

While Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* doesn't necessarily feature a comic-accurate take on the team, we have good reason to believe the movie will end with them reassembling as The Avengers.
Whether they're the *New Avengers or *Dark Avengers (perhaps somewhere in the middle) remains to be seen. However, with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine pulling their strings, chances are these heroes will somehow be manipulated into unwittingly doing her bidding.
The Cosmic Circus has shared a few interesting rumours about the movie today, including the fact Rachel Weisz's Melina Vostokoff once had a role. Unfortunately, it seems the Black Widow star was cut early on.
The site also reveals Yelena Belova will be front in centre in the new superhero team that assembles by the time the credits roll.

Sebastian Stan first played Bucky Barnes in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and later reprised the role in several MCU projects.
Following memorable turns in the likes of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Stan took centre stage alongside Anthony Mackie in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+. Next up for the actor, though, is Thunderbolts*.
Some fans are convinced Bucky won't make it out of that movie alive. However, Stan is keen to share the screen with Robert Downey Jr. - who is returning as Doctor Doom in place of Iron Man - in Avengers: Doomsday and/or Avengers: Secret Wars.
"I hope I’m in a scene with him," Stan, who clashed with Tony Stark as Bucky in Civil War, tells GQ. "Is there any other guy that could pull that off? I don’t know, probably not. After Tropic Thunder, is there...

When Marvel Studios was looking to cast Yelena Belova for 2021's Black Widow, it quickly became clear that they wanted a star every bit as talented as Scarlett Johansson.
Florence Pugh and Saoirse Ronan were both on Kevin Feige's wishlist, with the role ultimately going to the former. Ronan is believed to have turned down the movie and was asked about that during a recent interview with Josh Horowitz.
"How did you hear about that? I don't know [Laughs]," she responded, confirming the reports without elaborating on any conversations she had with Marvel Studios.
Ronan, best known for her roles in critically acclaimed fare like Little Women, Lady Bird, and Atonement, went on to say she's keen to star in blockbuster fare but doesn't necessarily think that means she'll join the MCU.
"I can't see myself doing Marvel. I don't. No. I would prefer to do Bond," she admitted. "There...

We haven't seen Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, since the Disney+ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series (and on the big screen since Avengers: Endgame), but the former assassin is set to make his long-awaited return to the MCU in the upcoming Thunderbolts* movie.
It seems actor Sebastian Stan feels that this group is a better fit for his character than the Avengers.
"It's always been fun for me to come back to him after all these years because you're growing as a person, and then the character ends up growing," Stan tells Total Film.
"I never would have thought we would have ended up where we have with him, but it's a very interesting group of characters, and they all bring out different sides of themselves," he continues. Marvel Studios recently released the first trailer for Thunderbolts* - you can read our breakdown here - but an official project profile for the movie shared by Disney reveals two unexpected casting additions.
The first is Chris Bauer, a prolific actor who has delivered memorable turns in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, For All Mankind, and Heels among many other projects. There's no word on who he's playing but we'd bet on it being a villain given what a great antagonist he's made in previous roles.
The bigger surprise is the addition of Wendell Pierce; the actor, who has more critically acclaimed performances to his name than we have room to list here, is perhaps known best for his work in The Wire.
However, he's also shown up in the likes of Jack Ryan, Suits, and Clemency. Pierce has been cast as The Daily Planet's Editor in Cheif, Perry White in James Gunn's Superman,...

Marvel had a rough year in 2023. Many of its properties underperformed, and they lost their big villain due to Jonathan Majors being fired. Looking forward to their upcoming slate, comic fans have been excited about some of the studio’s projects over the next few years. Will these films help Marvel regain control? The upcoming Thunderbolts film has been one that fanboys have been hoping to see since the MCU started. With some recent news about the property coming up, it seems like the right time to break down what we know about the production.
Who Are The Thunderbolts?
The team first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1997 in an issue of The Incredible Hulk. They seemed to be a new group of superheroes that had arrived on the scene and gained acclaim very quickly. The reader was informed that the group was actually a group of supervillains led by Baron Zemo.

The first trailer and poster for Thunderbolts* were released online earlier this week, and speculation soon arose that AI might have been used to create the latter.
The one-sheet uses a familiar concept of packing the main characters close together as they struggle/fight amongst themselves, but if you look at the left corner where Sentry, aka "Bob," (Lewis Pullman) is wincing due to Bucky's (Sebastian Stan) gun being pushed in his face, you'll notice that he appears to have five fingers and a thumb.
However, as many have since pointed out, this is more likely an optical illusion caused by part of the character's pinky being cut out of the picture and the fingertip visible above.
This may not seem like a big deal one way or the other, but the use of AI is becoming more and more widespread despite continued outrage among many fans and some within the movie industry.

Marvel Studios' upcoming superhero flick "Thunderbolts*" is slated to be the 36th feature film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will assemble six ancillary characters culled from previous MCU movies and TV shows, making them into a ragtag fighting force. On the team are the Red Guardian, Yelena Belova, and Taskmaster from "Black Widow," the Winter Soldier and U.S. Agent (Sebastian Stan and Wyatt Russell) from "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier," and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) from "Ant-Man and the Wasp." These characters previously served as low-level villains or antagonists, but are now redeeming themselves as hunted antiheroes.

Marvel Studios stopped short of revealing The Sentry in yesterday's Thunderbolts* trailer but we did get to meet Lewis Pullman's "Bob." While the sneak peek failed to shed much light on his role in the movie, we've just unearthed a couple of very intriguing clues.
When Yelena Belova enters the facility where she meets the other Thunderbolts and Bob, blueprints can be seen showing several different variations of The Sentry's logo and hairstyle.
These pieces of paper seemingly have the Oxe logo at the top of them, an organisation we first heard would be featured in this movie earlier this year. In the Ultimate comics, Valentina Allegra de Fountaine was the group's Chairman and, while little is revealed about Oxe, they're described as the "largest holding company in the world."
Not only does this suggest she's working independently of the CIA, but it looks like Val set out to...

Exciting news for Marvel fans Thunderbolts has dropped its first teaser trailer, offering a glimpse of the misfit team of anti-heroes set to shake up the MCU. The film, directed by Jake Schreier, is slated for release on May 2, 2025. The trailer showcases a group of reformed villains, gathered by the U.S. government for covert missions, adding a fresh, irreverent tone to the superhero landscape.

After years of rumors, hints and teases (both in the press and within the body of Marvel movies and television themselves), the first look at the Thunderbolts has finally dropped today thanks to the release of the "Thunderbolts*" trailer. Even though the footage seems to promise a fairly predictable gritty, action-oriented antihero team up movie, all is not quite what it seems. First and foremost, we have yet to find out just what the heck is up with the asterisk being attached to the title. Is it to indicate that the team name will be changed at the close of the movie, and reveal that they're going under another recognizable name from the comic books? Or is it merely there to indicate these characters' expendability?
Or maybe it's a secret third thing, given the Easter eggs that are hidden in plain sight throughout the trailer. Around about the preview's midpoint,...

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, we learned that Tony Stark had decided to sell Avengers Tower. For years, speculation has run rampant about who purchased the landmark, with everyone from The Kingpin to a Kang the Conquerer Variant and even the Fantastic Four among the many rumoured possibilities.
None of those panned out and Marvel Studios has avoided giving us any answers. Oddly, the building hasn't even been shown in shots of the Big Apple, likely to avoid giving anything away.
Kevin Feige confirmed that answers are coming while promoting Deadpool & Wolverine and today's Thunderbolts* trailer may have solved this yearslong mystery once and for all.
As you can see below, when the team arrives to confront Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, it looks like the scene is playing out in what used to be Avengers Tower. Val is standing by a bar that's almost certainly the same one we saw Tony...

The first trailer for Disney’s Thunderbolts opens to Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, a depressed assassin, reuniting with her slob father, Alexei (David Harbour).
She complains her life is empty, despite being busy with dangerous hit jobs. But purpose quickly returns to Yelena’s life as the action-packed teaser has her soon crossing paths with a collection of Marvel’s shadiest characters.
“Everyone here has done bad things … So, someone wants us gone,” Yelena at one point in the trailer tells her fellow antiheroes, including John Walker/U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) — as they are threatened with elimination after completing earlier jobs for an unknown villain.
“This could get messy,” Yelena warns her fellow miscreants in the teaser for the action flick with the tagline: “Careful Who You Assemble.”

Thunderbolts* has just revealed its first trailer for the first major look at the MCU answer to the Suicide Squad! Check it out!
The original concept of the Thunderbolts debuted in 1997. At the time, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four were believed dead fighting the monstrous Onslaught when they were really shunted into another dimension. The Thunderbolts were promoted as a brand new team of original heroes coming to fill the gap.
However, in one of the most shocking plot twists in comic book history, the first issue ended with the revelation that the T-Bolts were actually long-time supervillains, the Masters of Evil. They were posing as heroes to gain public and government trust in order to take over the world. However, several of them realized they liked being heroes more than being villains and set out to redeem themselves.

It's the start of a new week, and clearly Hollywood studios woke up and decided it must start with a bang. We've got a trailer party on our hands, people!
After going through something of an existential crisis over the past couple of years, Marvel Studios is finally getting its footing back under it. This year only held one Marvel movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, and it was a smash success. On the television front, Agatha All Along is now playing on Disney+, which is the only live-action Marvel show to drop on the platform since Echo premiered back in January. Marvel is going for quality over quantity now, after a while of doing the latter.
And now we have our first look at another of the studio's upcoming movies: Thunderbolts*. We've known this film was coming for a while, but the asterisk in the title only made its debut this morning.

It's time to meet a new brand of Marvel heroes. No, we're not talking about the next generation of the Avengers, nor are we referring to the imminent arrival of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We are, of course, talking about the Thunderbolts.
Marvel's new team of outcasts and misfits will come together on the big screen next year, and it features quite the star-studded cast of actors and characters. Leading the charge is Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes; two of the most popular and beloved supporting characters in the MCU today. They are joined by returning figures, such as Hannah John-Kamen's Ghost, Olga Kurylenko's Taskmaster, Wyatt Russell's US Agent, and David Harbour's Red Guardian. They will also cross paths with Sentry, played by Lewis Pullman.

Marvel has released a trailer for their own version of DC’s Suicide Squad. In the Thunderbolts* teaser, skilled assassin Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) pays her father Red Guardian or Alexei (David Harbour) a visit, after a spell of depression. She confides in her bearded, robe-wearing father, asking if he feels fulfilled.
“There’s something wrong with me, an emptiness, I’m just drifting and I don’t have purpose,” Pugh says in the trailer, released Monday. “I thought throwing myself into work was the answer.”

Marvel Studios have released just one movie this year, but the success of that movie has more than made up for the lack of MCU content. Deadpool and Wolverine has dominated the box office all summer, making over $1.3 billion thus far, engineering a comeback for the studio that only an entity like Marvel could pull off.
2025 will have a lot more content from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Captain America: Brave New World and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The third movie will unite some of the most beloved characters from the franchise as they form a new team unlike anything we've ever seen from the saga before. This isn't the Avengers; this is the Thunderbolts.
If you, like all of us, weren't entirely sure what to expect from the upcoming movie, Marvel Studios has released the first trailer for the movie, and it's really quite something.

New Thunderbolts* Stills Released As Scarlett Johansson's Unexpected Connection To Movie Is Revealed
Shortly after Scarlett Johansson patched things up with Disney - now-former CEO Bob Chapek attempted to renege on her deal to earn a cut of Black Widow's profits by releasing the movie on Disney+ - there was talk of the actor producing a future MCU project.
Her time as Natasha Romanoff came to a definitive end in Avengers: Endgame and, after returning for that solo movie set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, that really did appear to be it for Johansson.
There's been some online chatter about the MCU veteran possibly being involved with a Blonde Phantom series on Disney+ but a press release sent out by Disney confirms Johansson is executive producing Thunderbolts*.
She'll do so alongside Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, and Jason Tamez. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is producing.

Marvel Studios has released the first official teaser trailer for Thunderbolts*.
The footage begins with Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) paying a visit to Red Guardian (David Harbour) to tell her adoptive father that there's "something wrong" with her, as she no longer feels fulfilled by her work.
We then see Yelena infiltrate a mysterious location where Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), John Walker/U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) are waiting. They all begin to fight it out to the strains of The Pixies' "Where is my Mind."
Yelena comes to the realization that they have all been sent to the same place in the hopes that they'll take each other down, which is when we meet "Bob" (Lewis Pullman). We don't see him in Sentry mode, unfortunately, but rumor has it that he does indeed suit-up at some point in the movie.

Not quite the Avengers, assemble! Marvel’s latest superhero team brings togethers the bad (ish) guys from across the MCU in the first trailer for Thunderbolts*. Watch it below.
Soundtracked by a modern “slowed-down-dramatic-remix-accented-by-action-beats” version of Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind,” the Thunderbolts* teaser trailer finds Yelena Belova aka Black Widow (Florence Pugh) adrift in a world of espionage. She seeks guidance from her super-soldier father, Alexei “Red Guardian” Shostakov (David Harbour), but he seems as lost as she is — albeit far more at peace about it. But Belova doesn’t have time to do much soul-searching, as her next mission puts her in the same room with a number of Marvel villains: U.S. Agent, Taskmaster, and Ghost.
In fact, they’re all trapped in that room, along with a mysterious new character named… Bob Marvel Comics fans will recognize Bob as Sentry, one of the universe’s most over-powered characters.

It’s been a good while since we had a proper Marvel team-up movie. Post-Endgame, we’ve had a few dysfunctional families of galactic oddbods in Eternals and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. But there hasn’t been anything close to an Avengers-level event – a clash of egos, a group brought together to try and make something better than themselves. But the first trailer for Thunderbolts* has arrived, and teases something of an Avengers-style gathering – though rather than a group of primary-coloured do-gooders, these are all depressed antiheroes with shady pasts, each in desperate need of a second chance. Check out the extended teaser here:
There’s plenty to unpack here – notably, the first half of the trailer positioning this as something of a Yelena Belova movie, placing Florence Pugh’s Black Widow-adjacent character at the forefront. That makes sense, since her father-figure Alexei (aka David Harbour’s...

"Eventually you come to realize that there are bad guys – and there are worse guys. And nothing else." Marvel has unveiled a surprise teaser trailer for their upcoming Thunderbolts* movie, opening in theaters at the start of May 2025 next summer. A very early trailer for a movie that won't open for 8 more months. It's labeled "teaser" but runs a full 3-1/2 minutes. A group of antiheroes goes on missions for the American government. This is pretty much Marvel's version of The Suicide Squad, bringing together a group of offbeat superheroes / supervillains to team up as the "Thunderbolts" and go on some covert missions. The big cast includes David Harbour as Russia's Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr / Ghost, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Lewis Pullman as Bob aka "Sentry", Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Florence Pugh as Black Widow Yelena Belova, plus Geraldine Viswanathan...

After debuting it for San Diego Comic-Con attendees, Marvel has now released wide the first teaser trailer for Thunderbolts*, the team-up movie that will continue the character arcs for Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes and John Walker, which last visited in assorted Disney+ TV series.

They’re assembling another team.
On Monday, Marvel finally released the first trailer for “Thunderbolts*,” the studio’s forthcoming adventure about the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s rogues’ gallery. (Marvel has been teasing the project since San Diego Comic-Con in July.)
Directed by Emmy Award winner Jake Schreier (“Beef”) with a script previously attributed to Eric Pearson, Joanna Calo (“The Bear”), and Lee Sung Jin (“Beef”) – although how the final credits will shake out is unclear – “Thunderbolts*” brings together several Marvel antagonists, including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). The trailer, using The Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind” and with vibes ripped out of “The Suicide Squad,” teases some nefarious conspiracy and many baddie-on-baddie fight scenes. Other cast members playing new characters in the Marvel narrative include Geraldine Viswanathan...
