Greg Machlin, along with his writing partner Aoife Baker, jointly won a 2022 Inevitable Fellowship for writers with disabilities. He was a Nicholl and Austin semi-finalist for his screenplay "7 Days," a biopic about Miles Davis battling his inner demons. L.A.'s Skypilot Theatre Company produced a sold-out run of his play Keith Haring: Pieces of a Life, a fantasy biographical play authorized by the Haring estate and directed by Doug Oliphant.
Machlin is a graduate of the Iowa Playwrights' MFA workshop; he frequently collaborates with director Joe Luis Cedillo, who has directed several of Machlin's plays and multiple web series episodes.
In 2016, he released a black-and-white music video of actress/singer Julia McIlvaine performing Peggy Lee's "Fever," available on YouTube. Originally from the small town of Waterville, Maine, he lives and writes in L.A.
