Bev started writing/directing and editing films at the age of 16 in his family's basement where no one could see him work. Grandson of John Beverly Amos
(founder of AFLAC), he was born in Columbus, Georgia and instead of following in his family's footsteps and working for the family business, he
decided to move to Los Angeles at the early age of 18 to follow his passion for filmmaking. Bev Land studied at UCLA film school, and shortly
after started working under Nicole Beattie on the HBO hit series Deadwood. He went
on to work under Don Roos where he learned the ins and outs of working on a full feature. In 2002, he wrote and directed the short film "What Are The Odds" starring Jon Abrahams, Steven R Schrippa
and Sharon Leal that opened in many independent film festivals including NewYork International Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, and Teluride. The short film went on to win over 13 awards including "Best Short Film" at New York Independent Film Festival. During this time he also shadowed Mike Listo on the critically acclaimed show "Boston Public" for close to 3 years.
He previously made a parody video titled "Ass and Titties" starring Mena Suvari, Keith Robinson and Dania Ramirez that caused a viral controversial stir. After which he completed his debut Feature Film "Lycan" starring Dania Ramirez , Vanessa
Angel and Gail O'Grady. You can currently watch it on Amazon , Hulu, etc. The 46 year old now adds author to his repertoire as he is currently writing a YA novel.
