Spoiler Alert !!!This article discusses the Marineford Arc and Post-War Arc of One Piece!
The bond between Monkey D. Luffy and Portgas D. Ace in One Piece is one of the most heartwarming aspects of the anime. The two sworn brothers had each others’ backs since their childhood and while Ace took a long time to warm up to the younger boy, he eventually became the best elder brother to Luffy. Their protectiveness and pride for each other are unmatched. Their voice actors, Mayumi Tanaka and Toshio Furukawa, are similarly bonded and found family in each other.

A recent interview revealed that Tanaka calls Furukawa “big bro,” just like Luffy called Ace in One Piece. The tragic events of the Marineford Arc left the voice actors as devastated as Luffy and the fans felt. Furukawa found Ace’s death scene incredibly difficult to record.

The new era of One Piece began when the recent generation of Emperors of the Sea was announced in the narrative. Within the new generation, the one character whose terrifying presence has struck fear in the minds of One Piece characters is Marshall D. Teach, also known as the infamous Blackbeard.
Blackbeard – One Piece | Toei Animation
Blackbeard’s dream of conquering the world has motivated him to reach a level of success in the pirate world that only a few other characters have been capable of. He has not only fought against some of the strongest opponents but also emerged victorious from every battle except for one, where he faced the most difficult time.
This battle was against one of Vegapunk’s creations, Seraphim. As One Piece fans know, the Seraphim are mini clones of former warlords, and the one that challenged Blackbeard was S-Hawk, created in the image of Dracule Mihawk.

Within the Dragon Ball narrative, one of the most unique characters is Goku’s son, Gohan. He is probably the only Saiyan who hates fighting and wants to be a scholar. In many ways, he is the exact opposite of his father, who loves challenging strong opponents and testing out his own abilities against them. However, there is a reason for that.

While almost all of the other fighters in Dragon Ball had to go through intense training, Gohan is the only one who trained under Piccolo, and by the looks of it, the training was quite dense for Gohan as he was a child at that time. Akuma Kun is an anime series directed by Junichi Sato, and Fumitoshi Oizaki. The series is set to be released on November 9 on Netflix. It’s based on the manga by Shigeru Mizuki.
If you’re in the mood for a enjoyable Japanese animated series with a “retro” vibe, then you’re in luck because here comes Akuma Kun. He’s not the friendliest or funniest guy, but that’s why he’s quite amusing.
He has come to Earth to confront demons through pentagrams, curses, and more, but neither the demons nor society will make it easy for him or his assistant, Mephistopheles, who complains all day long.
This is a very entertaining series featuring the star Yuki Kaji, a true gem in Japanese voice acting who once again showcases his talent and versatility.

Two wide studio releases will hopefully prevent this summer from reaching another low at the box office after last weekend’s 67.3M. If there’s one movie that’s going to pull ahead, sources are betting on Crunchyroll’s Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. That distributor has proven in a short amount of time that they can draw a great deal of anime fans in a Friday through Sunday span. The Tetsuro Kodama directed animation movie is looking at anywhere from 12M-15M, ahead of Universal’s genre lion-stalking film, Beast, starring Idris Elba; that pic hoping for at least double digits.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, booked in around 3,940 theaters, will be armed with all premium ticket formats, i.e. 4Dx, Imax, Dolby and D-box, and will kick off showtimes at 5Pm on Thursday. The previous movie, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, over a 6-day MLK holiday stretch in 2019 debuted to 22.3M.

“Do all of you remember the name Red Ribbon Army?” That’s the first of many lines of expository dialogue in “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero,” the latest animated action-fantasy adaptation-extension of the mega-popular “Dragon Ball” manga comics.
That opening line of voiceover narration also inadvertently prepares viewers for how convoluted the movie soon becomes.
Some tablesetting dialogue explains who the Red Ribbon Army are (bad guys) and why they’re back. The son of the Red Pharmaceutical Company’s founder, Magenta (voiced by Volcano Ota in the Japanese-language version and Charles Martinet in the English dub), wants to take over the world. But soon enough, this fairly straightforward beat-em-up spectacular, which pits heroic aliens against villainous robots, becomes a celebration of “Dragon Ball,” a decades-old anime institution.
