Just under 100,000 words. I'll be looking for feedback by Feb 27.

100,000 not bad but more important is what the story is about and how good it is which I'd like to know.
It be great if it was an Audiobook they make Space Operas so much better and if it's good it will be an Audio book that's guaranteed.

I included the story summary in my original post. Any more would include spoilers.
And how good is it? Well, I think it's great, but I'm biased, of course. That's why I'm looking for Beta readers, to tell me where it's not great.

Have you considered signing up with critters.org? I have a good experience with using them to get critique.

I used to be in critters.org, wonderful organization. I had several short stories reviewed there, got some good feedback. I just haven't been able to do the work to build up credits there to have them review my work.
I'm also in a face-to-face writers group in town, which is very good. But they only do one chapter a week, so it would take about a year to get this through them. So I only had them review the first chapter, and the feedback was very helpful, so I applied it throughout.

Earth’s first colony outside the solar system has a problem, and they’ve brought in astrophysicist Bacary Swift to solve it. But it’s not long before he stumbles onto an alien artifact that leads him to a strange community of alien planets far away, where he finds himself mixed up in their civil war. And all he wants to do is find his missing brother and a way home.
If you're interested, shoot me a message and let me know if you'd like a PDF or Kindle format. Also, if you're interested in more about the book, see my blog at rickaallensf.wordpress.com.
