A Persephone retelling where a millenial takes her bay area tram to the soulless world of her tech start up. A capitalist hellscape in place of the underworld? Ok. The feeling that I am being force-fed imagery? Not my fave.
I wouldn't recommend the audio book. I think the narration really hampered my ability to enjoy it.

The narration whenever fighting was happening was horrendous. 😂

This is also my reminder that I wouldn’t know retellings if they but me in the ass. It seems so obvious now that you pointed it out and yet i was reading thinking “hmm there’s something familiar but i can’t place it. Why are there so many mentions of pomegranates?”
