Six Crimson Cranes (Six Crimson Cranes, #1)

the beginning of this book was strong, very strong but once they leave the castle it gets very boring, it’s a good 200+ pages of absolutely nothing and useless plot. i liked the characters and the world but i wasn’t interested in the romance and i thought the end was a total cop for me to have been sitting here for like 400 pages for that.

Man, I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I battled for an hour of the audiobook before I finally gave up. Such a great introduction leading to...what felt like filler. Everyone else is raving and I just couldn't get into it

Ditto! I absolutely could not finish this book. The world was interesting but there was no emotional connection between the characters that made me root for them. Without that connection, the story just dragged for me. I found myself skimming half the chapters just to get to the point.
I absolutely agree with this, I can normally finish a book like this in a sitting or a couple of days but this took me a solid 2 weeks, the ending of the book picked up which made it easier but the middle 200 pages dragged on.
I completely agree. I’m 316 pages and it took me sooo long to get here because it’s way to lengthy for me. Absolutely nothing is happening but I did love the beginning of the book. Wondering if it will get any better later on
