Now I See You: A Memoir

on the positive side, the writing is good and, for the most part, the story flows. initially, this memoir presents the honest reaction any nineteen year old would have to the news that they will be blind in approximately ten years. as the story unfolds i could understand the emotions and actions of our protagonist. as time goes on, my dislike for said protagonist grew. the book to me was about one woman's inability to deal with her own reality. her deceit, selfishness, and vanity were overwhelming. she not only spent years putting herself in danger, but continued to put her children in danger. she lied to everyone around her including herself and her husband supported her deceit by keeping quiet. shame on both of them.
