** spoiler alert ** The Actual Star was such a beautifully weaved together epic story evoking myth, folklore and magical realism. Whilst it took a bit of concentrated investment from me early on to piece together the different times and characters, it fell into place quickly due to Monica Byrne's incredible talent as an author. By the end my jaw was agape (this actually happened several times whilst reading this book) at the sheer wonder and awe created within the story.
