-He never felt tired when he was doing what he was supposed to be doing.
-Happiness is completely intertwined with other people.
-He enjoys a one-sided conversation (elderly), thinking he has communed with God.
-A Primary teacher recognized him in her old age with alzheimer's. She hadn't recognized or spoken to her family in a long time. As he held her hand she said "I know you you're Tommy Monson my primary boy." Love can be felt.
-He made wood boats as a kid. We are not here rudderless, direction less, we can think and act. We can trust God to guide us.
-His primary, Sunday school, and seminary teachers had great effect on him, shaping him.
-He and his friends got into mischief. Not mean spirited, but mischievous.
-Duty pulls you out of yourself
-He gave a talk in conference addressing a friend's mom that he had lost contact with and was living in California. A friend had invited her to watch a session of conference with them. Having lost contact with her, he still addressed her in this. Her and her neighbor had no idea. It brought her to God.
-He listened in class as if he would have to present the information.
-As a soldier he knelt and prayed daily. A drunken soldier once kicked him but others rushed to his side. It's interesting to me that a drunk man would be angry at one who prayed. Testament if good.
-'sin doesn't happen in the twinkling of an eye...thoughts proceed them...keep your thinking pure' Heber J Grant
