it was ok
bookshelves: poly, lgbtqia, overdrive, 2022-reading-challenge

Ultimately, I enjoyed the concept of the story more than how it was written. I liked elements of this, but overall I didn't connect with our main characters or their missing partner and I never gelled with the writing style. Also I prefer my fantasy with less reality in it, which didn't help things. I did love the diversity/representation. I've been looking for books with poly relationships just to educate myself, but I shall continue looking elsewhere. Sad this didn't work for me.

Susan I hate it when I read a book that I wish had been written with a better author. Also I hate not being able to sleep on a school night. But that might not be relevant.
