Pet Sematary

First of all, the plot of Pet Sematary is predictable, not as scary as I had hoped and included too many cliches, although the foreword where King explains how he got the inspiration for the story added some deepness to it. I knew not to expect too much from the literary quality of the story, but as Stephen King is widely considered to be the king of horror, I wished to feel more of that. Still, I read the whole book (almost 500 pages of it) in one day so despite everything, I was hooked. Mostly because of the characters.
