What a sweet story!

Mia Sheridan writes deep-meaning romances. When I buy one of her books, I know the story will connect with me at some level. To this day, Archer's Voice is still one of my favorite books.

In Most of All You, two people come together by chance. Both have suffered and had a hard childhood. Gabriel Dalton comes asking for help from Crystal but I believe he's the one who gives Crystal hope again.

“You can’t fix me, you know.”

“No, I can only love you.”

Crystal has been hurt so many times, that she has pretty much given up on fighting. She doesn't feel like she deserves anything better. When she spots Gabriel, she knows he doesn't fit into her life and she tries hard to discourage him but as fate will have it, she will be the one needing to trust Gabriel instead.

It's hard to say more without spoiling their pasts and the reasons why their romance works. I was amazed by the growth Gabriel has had despite what happened to him as a child. He was able to view the world with a serenity and a positive disposition. He gave Crystal the support she needed but he also understood that she needed to heal herself.

“I don’t mind chasing you, Ellie. Just let me catch you once in a while.”

Crystal was so used to being disappointed that when she meets Gabriel, she knows he's dangerous to the mask of indifference she wears. He can get to her. His patience, friendship, trust, protectiveness can steal her heart and she's not ready to let her walls come down. She fiercely protects her heart but who can blame her after everything she had to deal with?

I like the pace of Most of All You. I felt that the events unfolded in just the right sequence. I love how Mia was able to make both characters grow and overcome their issues. Their healing process took a natural turn. Nothing felt rushed.

This is another story by Mia that will remain with me for a while.
