This book had me cackling the day away - it was legitimately laugh-out-loud material, and happily helped me pass the time as my flight was delayed for the 3rd hour.
Was it quality? No. I’m not even certain that I like a single mmc, but our fmc was absolutely hilarious, and I loved her whole attitude. Everything was just pure entertainment!!
Exactly what I needed!

there were so many random plot twists, and i cannot for the life of me tell who is in this harem, but it was an adventure for sure!! so many questions. i will def be keeping an eye out for book 2.
i also found it really interesting that one of her men had been cursed to be ugly (smell really bad, greasy hair 24/7, etc) but without the stereotypical "ugly" features from normal curses - so different to usual which was very appreciated, i want to get more content from him. ...more

I did finish it in a day, but I also have no positive feelings or opinions on the characters. Our fmc wasn’t half bad but damn she was a bit boring, and a few of the mmcs were sweet but eh I’m apathetic. And the other mmcs?? Rude, disrespectful, sexist dickheads for most of the book, and I did not vibe with it. “Oh but all the insults and verbal abuse were to protect you” get a better excuse because that one is lame as hell.

and while the plot-twists were in no way shocking for me, i didn't even mind, because i still had so much fun watching them track down the serial killer. always an entertaining plot. plus i loved and adored how this book didn't end on a massive cliffhanger, despite being book 1 of 3 - thank you author, for not becoming part of the rh cliffhanger epidemic.

these guys cannot have anything good, i swear... anytime things are going well, they're just hit with more shitty situations and dramatic, nefarious reveals. and look, it certainly makes the series interesting and captivating as hell, but give my peoples some happiness!!!
anyway, as per usual, our fmc was badass to the max, and i was so happy to see that her usual gang of misfits was strong and solid in their friendship. truly, i need every book to have a protagonist with friends like this!!
the mmcs were a chaotic, messy, partially devoted and obsessed, and very dramatic collection, as per usual. half of them need to gain a conscience and get their heads back in the game (the game being "falling in love with our fmc"), but hopefully we'll get there one day...

honestly, this book was like a combo between broken bonds and plier. i wasn't completely sure how to feel about the mmcs - like plier, some of them seemed apathetic half the time, and that was kinda devastating. but i did adore the few that had strong feelings for our girl - even if they were negative feelings!!
and i adored our fmc, she was so strong and had a gorgeous personality, plus i loved her tight bond with her friends. also the non-binary rep was so good to read!! sometimes the issue with rh books is that the fmc has no friends (especially female friends), but luckily that wasn't the case here.
the plot twists were especially shocking, but that was alright because the plot was still good fun, and i just could not put this book down. so easy to obsess over!!...more
