Since I’m non-religious, I wasn’t offended by what was said in this story. I loved every second of it, in fact! I can’t see no flaws in this story!
I thoroughly loved this story, giving it a 5/5 stars.

Judith has a way of writing that grips you in. I’m going to keep this review short, but Judith’s stories are just so much fun to read because the characters are always flawed yet fun to follow.
I will say the ending is the reason I took off one star. I wasn’t really enthralled by it like I usually am with Judith Sonnet’s endings. Usually they are fantastic and sometimes tease you a little bit, which makes you want more, but I didn’t get that from this one unfortunately.
But overall it was a great read! Just not my favorite Sonnet boon so far. ...more

Ben Farthing has done it again! The first book I read by him was about puppets, something I didn’t realize I was afraid of until I read I Found Puppets Living in our Apartment Walls. Now, Ben Farthing was made me terrified of Christmas decorations… so, thanks for that…
This story is about a kid with a traumatic past. And he is doing everything he possibly can to salvage Christmas! Even use jolly Christmas lights he found in the sewer! Ewe…
It’s a gripping tale that would make for a great story in an anthology movie, like if Mortuary Collection, Tales from the Crypt, or Cabinet of Curiosities, but Christmas themed! I would so like to see this played out in film format!
This one grabbed hold and didn’t let go! And the ending… at first I wasn’t sure about it, because I’m used to very gory finishes myself, but that ending was a fresh breath of air and perfect for a holiday horror story.
I loved this one just as much, if not more than I Found Puppets Living in our Apartment Walls. It was a lot of fun and goes up there for my top winter reads!
5/5 creepy christmas decorations is what I rate this one!

This story was riveting! Pulls you in from the get go and builds to a satisfying ending, but one that makes you uneasy at the same time. Todd Keisling has a way of building up a story like no other, and that’s what you get with this one. A huge build up to an uneasy ending.
I loved this story. As someone who has been a victim of suicidal ideations, this was so surreal! Loved every second of this one.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator nailed it!

This one was great! Loved the first person narrative in this one. It’s done so well! The story grabs you from the start and doesn’t let go. It’s really gripping. And the ending! I can’t say much about it, but man, what an ending!
I won’t lie, the idea of puppets without a puppeteer is just plain creepy. I know people these days are super afraid of animatronics, and rightfully so, but puppets and dolls are creepy too. And the story is pretty scary. I don’t know if the first person narrative helped, but it felt like someone was telling a real story that happened to them.
When first person narrative is done right, the results can be incredible! And this is the case for this story. Very good story with an amazing ending! I’m left wanting more! I’m going to have to check out more by this author. Amazing stuff!...more

Pound is about this kid and two burglars. That’s all I can really say without giving too much away.
This book has so many twists and turns that I thought I was going to tear the pages out as I read them because the tale was that gripping! I was sucked in and I couldn’t predict an ending! It did however end with a bang! (Is that metaphorical or literal? Guess you’ll have to find out!)

The plot was great and the characters, well, you couldn’t help but to love them!
The story is about a disheveled cop who has been through the ringer. He has to train a rookie cop, and on top of that he is mourning the death of his wife. Meanwhile, a Thresher Shark, bigger than ever seen before, is on the loose! That’s about wraps up what the story is about! Oh, and their is an oceanic scientist, a corrupt “mayor”, and a commissioner who is basically a father figure to the main Character. Who will live and who will fall victim to the Thresher Shark!
This was a phenomenal shark read! It was action pact and a few splashes of gore, which makes this a must read for me!
It had elements of Jaws, which I am referring to the movie, not the book(I am just starting Jaws now), and it was awesome! And it also had a little bit if its on this going too, and I was all for it!
This was a JAWESOME STORY! And when I FINished it, I was floored! What a fun summer’s read!

No One Rides For Free is a fast paced, disturbing book that will have your face twisting up in a show of anguish. This book is not for the faint of heart. It’s bloody, unapologetic, and very hard to get through at times.
The story is about Jodi, who is driving her two children to college. But while she is flirting with the gas station attendant, someone decides to do something disastrously horrifying to her family.
This was a hard one to get through, but the ending is totally worth it and if you can persevere through this one, the payoff is totally awesome!
I give this one 5/5 stars! The writing and just the sheer ideas that Judith Sonnet had in store for our characters had me at the edge of my seat.
