This book is about Tanner, who has to go to christian summer camp. It’s not all bad though! He meets two new people, Spitz and Garrett. And it’s all fun and games… until is wasn’t…

I liked this story, but i’m not going to lie, it fell short for me in the beginning, hence why I dropped a star. Tensions did build and even though the jokes didn’t land at times for me, the story progressed well and the ending was was this story’s saving grace!
There were some brutal scenes, which were awesome! I really did enjoy this one. The writing is fantastic and the monster is one I rarely read about, so that was cool!
Overall, I give this story 4/5 stars. Slow build up, but the ending is worth the wait!

This one… this one was amazing! The depictions of horrible things that actually happened throughout history really disturbed me and had me on the edge of my seat. The characters weren’t meant to be liked, but the cast of characters in this book are amazing!
This one is about a man who get’s a large inheritance from his dead uncle, but there’s a catch! He must live in the same trailer his uncle lived in. Doesn’t seem hard, yeah? Well, think again! There’s this television that makes him see things he’d rather not see, and the worst part about it is he doesn’t know how it’s even on!
This story had a bunch of twists and turns and I loved every bit of it! 5/5 stars! ...more

Vampires have scared us from the dawn of time, but their scare factor has sort of diminished through the years. I believe vampires have an untapped potential in the horror scene, and I believe full-heartedly that this book, Blood Suck by Judith Sonnet, has that original taste vampire books have been lacking as of late.
Vampires are evil beings that crave blood. They need it to exist or they will perspire. In Blood Suck, you get that vampire goodness with a mix of depravity!
Blood Suck is about three sisters that record snuff movies. What makes their films better than your average snuff film? Well, they're vampires! And they will torture you to great lengths until you've had enough, and then some.
This book is depraved in the best way possible. WOW!!! I almost threw up while reading this one, and I don't easily get weak in the gullet if you know what I'm saying.
Magnificent and disturbing, Blood Suck gets 5/5 stars from me! ...more

Aron Beauregard, you did it. You made me tear up a bit. I have dealt with suicide all my life, whether that be someone I know who has comitted suicide or myself dealing with suicidal ideations, and this one hits very close to home. This book kind of reminds me of another book I read by Lucas Mangum called ‘Gods of the Dark Web’ which I was really harsh towards, but overall I did enjoy that book.
I thought this one was going to go in a different direction due to the cover, but I was wrong. I really, really enjoyed this book. ‘Yellow’ and ‘All Smiles Until I Return’ are my favorite AB books, but this one has leaped to the front!
The ending to this one was knocked out of left field! A home-run! I really enjoyed what this book had to offer and I now have a new favorite AB Horror book!

This was a great, great story! It did start off a tad bit slow, but overall I enjoyed it immensely! The writing was solid, the characters were great (although the seemed a bit chill for what was going on), and the gore was there!

This was a great book! Iain Rob White made this an exhilarating read for sure, and this was my first book by him that I’ve read!
This book is about Clip and her trip on a train, which she had taken to her classes often. But this trip is different as things descend into madness rather quickly in this heart pounding horror book!
I’m going to be honest, I bought this book because I love trains, and this one didn’t disappoint!

The first issue I had is it seemed like it was rushed. We didn’t really flesh out any characters and the editing needed a bit of work. Which brings me to my second issue. There were some editorial issues with the book I noticed and they were pretty fixable things. Also, the convos that the characters had with each other did seem a bit awkward at times, but that may be because it was rushed, I don’t know.
Now onto the things I liked! I liked the descriptions of the aliens and and the gore was pretty good as well. The writing wasn’t too bad, like there were some moments where I was like, “His writing is great,” but I digress.
Overall, I’m going to be generous and give this one a 3.5, round it up to 4 stars.

This book is about Brian, who is celebrating his birthday with his friends and Babysitter, who he has a crush on. But what they don’t know is that Bones the Clown is out and about, and he is looking to have some fun!
This was an extreme and intense slasher novella that I personally think is one of Brian’s best in his Slasherback series.
This story had some twists and turns near the end which made the ending a lot of fun! Brin is a great writer and storyteller and it shows in this one.
So, if you want a more brutal read with a killer clown, this is the book for you!

These dead heads are like your ordinary zombies. Slow shambling monsters that want to devour your flesh, but it’s what civilization does to them that makes this book amazing! It took a Plain Jane narrative and turned it into a thrilling joyride!
I loved this book and it’s going in my top favorite zombie books of all time!

Horror fans should adore this book, especially if you are into extreme horror reads, like me!
There was multiple times where I physically winced, and that’s saying a lot because it takes a lot to do that.
The only nitpick I have, which is hardly a nitpick, is that the dialogue was a little awkward in some places. Other than that though, this book met and exceeded my expectations!

I won’t talk about the misses, but I will list my five favorite stories from this collection.

The first two were amazing stories about a kids growing up, but with a twist. I really enjoyed those stories and both of those will go in my top ten for favorite short stories of all time.
Then there’s The Black Phone. What can I say about this story? It was awesome! Let’s just say that.
20th Century Ghost was a fun story about a ghost that haunts the theater. Great read with a sad ending.
Then The Cape was hilarious! Loved it!
There were some misses, like I said before, which leaves me giving this collection four stars. I liked it a lot, but there were a few endings that just seemingly end out of nowhere. No resolution, no ending, no nothing. So, yeah. I give this collection 4 out of 5 stars....more
