This was the best most additive read I have had in a long time. It is Peter James at the top of his game. There has not been a bad book in this seriesThis was the best most additive read I have had in a long time. It is Peter James at the top of his game. There has not been a bad book in this series however this one is stand out. It has everything making you believe you are the characters you feel their love, you feel there pain.
From the start the murders begin only covered to most eyes as suicide. Red does not believe it is neither does Grace. Red is such a likeable character who you can totally root for. She had found a new love after her last disastrous online date. Apart from he is out to kill, out to kill her and everything she loves. He loves a fire or two or three plus.
Byrce is an horrific character but so thrilling and chilling to read about. He totally got what he deserved in the end. I was hoping he got the justice he deserved in prison by the fellow inmates. They could not have picked a nicer person.
So much happened in this book with Norman getting so much more and Bella. Poor Bella. Poor Norman and the others left behind.
In terms of Roy you continue to read about him being father to Noah and his wedding to Cleo. The wedding dream or nightmare before was fantastic. Once again I wanted to know so much more about Sandy. It is so wrong to be rooting for her over Cleo in a way but I cannot help it. I loved how on the second time coming honeymoon Roy cut his phone call, he did answer it but cut it short. Cleo's I have never seen you do that before for the reply to be I have never been on honeymoon with you before.
The last standout moment from a book full of standout moments I will have missed something or not wanted to give everything away. Cassian Pewe is back the rival the slight villain to the police force that makes a fantastic read. Is he playing a game of keep your friends close but your "enemies" closer?
Standout out book with not a bad element. 100/5 stars...more

David and Joe both end up in the same hospital one from drowning the other a heart attack. There wives are told and meet in the relatives room, Ally and Charlotte aren't strangers though they've met before.
I enjoyed going back in time to there first meetings to start with I liked Joe and Ally (In particular Joe) best in the past section until the part about Charlotte's attack then David and Charlotte grew on me so much. Behind the appearance and manner of Charlotte is a real human being. Max was a great friend too.
In parts it was predictable but still so enjoyable. I had a bad feeling about Joe from about 100 pages in. I certainty knew when David needed a new heart and nearly died himself. It was obvious to me where the heart was going to come from.
With my love of Joe i am saddened that he died when being the hero for other people. Even in death though he saved lives including David's. Joe will live on in Jake (even though he's David's biologically) and his unborn daughter. David was great with Jake wanting to be his friend not replacing Joe as he knew as dad. ...more

From the first page I was intrigued with the story having five parts.
Part 1- Emma (Em) and Dexter (Dex) first meet on their graduation night on the one day they'll meet up or never forget each other on for twenty years. 15th July 1988.
Part 2- I like the part that told Dexter's story and Emma's story. The pair of them don't realise what is standing infront of them the whole time. It's such a case of you belong with me. Dexter is a much nicer person with Emma around. ''I love you very much. I just don't like you anymore.''
Part 3- To me Emma at her most annoying she is too good to be anyone's mistress. I like how Emma misses Dexter and he misses her when they've fallen out. At a wedding they go into a maze making friends once again. At this point they are so clearly meant to be together but he's getting married and having a baby with someone else. At the end of the section Em and Dex are finally together yipee.
Part 4- Before tragedy strikes after they are married and trying for a baby. (Emma never got a child of her own) It's such a sad couple of sentences ''Then Emma Mayhew dies and everything that she thought or felt vanishes and is gone forever.''
Part 5- Is three anniversaries of Emma's death, with Dexter coping or not coping. I like going back to 1988 it explains how they got to meeting each year on the one day in the first place. The plot follows on nicely from section to section filling in any blanks at the end.
To me the story ended leaving me wondering how things would have been if the two didn't part in 1988 or never saw each other again....more

It's rare in a story that I find all the characters so likeable. None of them are perfect, they have flaws but all fit so perfectly together.
Love Story One: Megan and Ollie the pair who belong with each other but will they only be just good friends? Can they even be just good friends? Is it lovers or nothing? These were the two I found myself so rooting for. I was so frustrated when she wasn't taking a chance on him. Ollie is quite the hero regarding Sophie.
Love Story Two: Hope and Charlie who are escaping Manchester, Hope leaving behind an angry daughter but is she too angry to never see her mum again? I like how after her marriage Hope is questioning if she wants Charlie or no man in her life.
Love Story Three: Sophie and Robin it could be argued the most perfect but is everything as it seems? Without giving too much away they certainty are the till death do us part couple. I love Sophie's description of the tube in London, I feel for her as a character.
Prague seems such a lovely city from the descriptions, I imagine even nicer to see. I love how the titles of Isabelle Broom's books are so fitting to the characters and their lives. This time A Year and A Day.
The story ended five months later and it couldn't have ended more perfectly. ...more

Fir**spoiler alert** Livvy becomes stuck in a middle world between life and death after being run over in Lidi car park, she had unfinished business. First we discover Christmas Past and Livvy and Adam's marriage in the last few years didn't sound all too happy. I'm not a fan of cheating but it isn't a wonder he spent so much time with Emily. Livvy has a big drinking problem. I love Joe and how he senses his mum is still around first ''Mum's a ghost and she's pretty pissed off with you'' By the end of this part Livvy is starting to look at her own faults and Emily is starting to feel the presence of Livvy.
Second is Christmas Present and it's running as two parallel times with one being Livvy is dead the other surviving but wheelchair bound and her life with Adam does seem quite miserable. I do feel Livvy's mum is being a little too nice to Emily but later we find out she didn't know about the affair. By the end of this part it's becoming obvious Adam would get with Emily regardless of being Livvy being dead or not. This does not stop Emily of being jealous of a ghost and she would be freaked out with a dead woman standing in-front of her.
Part three is Christmas Future alongside the now. The vision is showed with Adam marrying Emily with most people's blessing. The story of Adam and Emily's children was so sweet with one being named after Livvy and her photo with Joe still up in the living room. It reminds me so much of Taylor Swift's song Long Live. Livvy now realises she wasn't brought back to win Adam back but to make amends and decides it's time to get Emily and Adam back together. They case Emily to London Euston with fate being on their side holding up buses, trains and the tube.
I love the Dicken's style of telling the story of Christmas Past, Present and Future to try and get a ghost to change their ways. Near the end I found this book very hard to put down wanting to know how it ended it's so beautiful sad and happy at the same time. This story is bonkers but I loved it! I really loved Joe. ...more

Sophie and Billy are from two very different worlds but are so meant to be together. It's interesting reading about the highs and lows of life in the limelight but it shows a message in the end of what really matters. Sophie really doesn't realise how special she is. Billy has one funny laugh too.
I also enjoyed all the parts about Sophie's past and how Molly helped her overcome all the tragic. It's sad, beautiful and tragic all thrown into one from start to finish.
To Molly!
My first Giovanna Fletcher book and certainly won't be my last now onto the next chapter of Billy and Sophie. Always With love!...more

Age**spoiler alert** It's Robert and Maddy's wedding day at Aged 26 years old, the story takes you through details of there life at different stages. Ages 9,11,16,18,21,24,25,26. I loved the childhood chapters before girls and boys can't just be friends. Before three was a crowd.
Robert and Ben have been friends for years even at nine and then a new girl starts the school Maddy, they become the tripod and it's a great group of friends. I admit at this stage i'm Team Ben who is the shyer one and his love for his mum is lovely. Then there's Rob the more confident one of the two and it's not that i dislike him, he grows on me just i still prefer Ben.
Paris is where everything changes Ben was planning one thing, Rob beats him too it. I can't help feeling for Ben through all of the story. It's like i thought Rob could have had anyone but i was routing for Ben and Maddy. It isn't to say i dislike Rob and Maddy just there is something about Ben i seem attracted too. I do wish though he'd speak now then he might have stood a chance of getting the girl. If the book teaches me anything is grab what you want before someone else does.
The heart does break for the one who doesn't get Maddy. The better part of me wishes they'd all ended up with different people then it wouldn't feel like one was left out. The bad side of me wishes Maddy had ended up with Ben. Then i think i'd have liked Rob more, because i didnt hate him as a character just was more drawn to Ben and Maddy. Everyone else Ben is with seems forced and i wasn't buying him with anyone else. Even at the end. I'd hope Ben's child would have better luck with Maddy's daughter than he did with Maddy.
My song choices would be a mix between Speak Now and How you get the Girl by Taylor Swift.
Lastly i love the mention of Billy Buskin and loved his story so much it was hard to compete with such great books with him in for me....more

Lochlan's a slight control freak with his business and very serious in everything he does. He had one very redeeming feature from the start the love for his dog.
The story then flashbacks to 1918 these parts do connect to the present day and again kept me guessing.
I love the Scottish location I wouldn't want to leave either. The description of Alex either being Lochlan's wonderwall or wrecking ball was interesting. It blows hot and cold between the pair for so long until all the truths come out. I found the fire parts the most interesting. There's one thing for sure Alex surely wasn't planning on getting Lochlan to fall for her. She is one scary woman but he's quite scary too.

This book knows how to keep you guessing from Laura fainting with no explanation and a charm necklace she's making for Rob's wife's birthday. Everyone she interviews for it is surrounded by mystery.
Laura has two sort of friendship group's throughout the book and it's clear in the end the two who supported her most but that doesn't mean Kitty and Rob don't care for her.
Rob might be married but the chemistry between Laura and him is much more than what she feels for Jack and he feels for Cat.
Some of the characters blow hot and cold and I can see in many parts how Laura only trusts herself. I wanted people to say NO to Cat so much as she's not used to hearing the word.
The best mystery I found was about the Convent Garden bombing it was so sad and explained a lot about how the characters behave and how they know each other.
I was rooting for Rob and Laura for such a long-time and it wasn't because I didn't like Jack but they weren't suited as she's not her sister Lily. The scene were Rob appears at the end is so sweet.
I loved this book so easy to read and it kept me guessing easily a five star from me....more

I love how the story is told from two sides I'd like to see this more in the books I read.
Ed and Rosie I love them both again so much in this book they are so great to catch up with. There wedding was lovely.
Bea and James do make the perfect match if it wasn't for the pact that was funny at first but grew quite frustrating when you knew they both wanted each other badly. I did like them both as characters. There initial meeting was funny she thought he was a waiter not surprising really. My favourite scene was the ice skating I believed in them so much at that point.
My main downside the story seemed to go back and forth a little too much for me it could have been made shorter.
I loved Grandma Dot she just said everything how it was....more
