This is a 3* on Goodreads which is a 4* on Amazon. I was not so keen about the start of the book, not so sure why but I'm thinking it was the writing This is a 3* on Goodreads which is a 4* on Amazon. I was not so keen about the start of the book, not so sure why but I'm thinking it was the writing style and the first few topics, so got off to a bad start. However a few points later it began to flow and I started enjoying the read. It wasn't quite what I had expected but if you are starting out on your own business and are not sure where to start with marketing then these 99 steps are a good enough place to start.

Its a good read if you are new to the concept, if you are already using stories then its same same but different. Its a quick read so its worth a read anyway.

I'm guessing the writing style is a reflection of both the authors personalities and the way they conduct their businesses. Yes its different, it may not be everybody's cup of tea but telling stories and using allegories is a good way to get your point across and as long as you get the point then no foul. I've read a lot of Marketing books that cover amongst them all the topics covered in this one, however this is the first time I have ever had it presented in this way and the way its done makes it easy for anyone to just "get it" and its for that reason that this book works. So in conclusion, its a different way of getting the message across and getting the message across is definitely what this book does. So even if you know nothing about marketing, read this book and you'll walk away feeling like an expert.
