I loved the banter, I loved the chemistry, I loved the cute little friend moments and Garrett. Geez! I fricken loved Garrett! The progressed so nicely and I loved the way his feelings for Wellsy started developing. It wasn't forced, it wasn't rushed. I gobbled every single word until chapter 38 and then it all went flat for me. Their issues, which weren't really issues were resolved so quickly and way too easily. A few words and Boom! they're back in each others arms. I hate giving this a 3 because I absolutely loved 80% of this book, but for me, personally, the drama was not enough. I'm not sure what I wanted. More jealousy from Garrett? More edginess from Hannah? More arguments? (I love heated arguments in romance) I just wanted more. Their passion for each other was so great that I guess I was waiting for something explosive to happen and it didn't. It was just flat, no bad, but not great.
Update on 10 August 2016:
So I don't know what possessed me to do this but I re-read this book and I think reading it again knowing that there wasn't going to be too much drama changed my mind and I decided to change my rating to a 5 stars.
This book was fantastic. I shouldn't have written my review immediately after I finished reading it. I should have let my thoughts simmer for a while. After having re-read it, I really don't know why I was so disappointed to have knocked off two stars! I have accepted the fact that I can sometimes be a moron. Apologies, Miss Kennedy for ever doubting your abilities :)...more
