Ryan and Rachel have been in relationships that ended badly and have no interest in looking for love. When Ryan agrees to participate in the bachelor auction, he just plans on cooking a meal not having a real date. When Rachel's friends bid on Ryan as her birthday gift, she has the same idea as Ryan. But, when they get together, sparks fly and they find themselves getting in deeper than they planned.
I enjoyed the slower pace of the relationship in this book. Both people have doubts about letting another person in their heart and they have issues to resolve before they can really be happy. Ryan has loyalty to his grandmother and her needs which adds another bump in the road, I thought the author did a great job of telling the story of a caregiver and the pressures that come with that role. She also showed how difficult it can be to be the friend or loved one who has to tell the caregiver when it's time to let someone help them.
This is a sweet romance with two nice people who have a possibility of HEA if they can just hold on and ride out the bumps. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

It also tells the story of Alexandra Rankin Hunt and Ian Mabry. Alexandra is a Brit who has designed Olivia's wedding dress. Coming "across the pond" is just what Alexandra needs to get over her broken romance with Ian. What she doesn't expect is that Ian gets to Knights Bridge before she does and proceeds to stay and make her realize what she will be missing if she indeed breaks up with him.
There have been some major communication failures between these two and the wedding gives them a last chance to work on their romance. Alexandra is distantly related to Dylan and the sad story of Dylan's grandparents speaks to Alexandra about her and Ian.
This is a sweet story that finishes the loop for the first couple in the Swift River Valley series while saving a new relationship. An added bonus is an absolutely yummy recipe for Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Chestnuts that will be gracing my Christmas table!

Tucker McTavish has come home to Marietta for her sister Tanner's wedding. Her life recently has been a bonafide mess and she goes to the family skating pond for a moment of quiet reflection about how to find her future and is surprised to find a handsome stranger skating on the ice. Laird Hunter has come to Marietta to find his past and solve the mystery of his birth. Tucker and Laird definitely have sparks but they have been so damaged by love that they are afraid to look for anything long term and he agrees to help her be a "good" girl while she's home. You know what they say about the best laid plans..... This book is a continuation of the story of three brothers who find each other later in life and find their soul mate at the same time. Tucker and Laird's story is a great addition to the series and has the added benefit of glimpses of the earlier couples. Just the right amount of spice and a teaser of future story for another brother.

Darcy is the reverse Cinderella getting to go to the ball(game) and lots of other fun events with her sports hero crush. Chase needs to up his game if he wants to go to a bigger team and this rich, connected girl could be his ticket there.
They connect on a real level and have fun nit only with the fancy stuff but with everyday things as well. The chemistry between them is burning hot. We all know what is going to happen and when it does, Ms. Rose keeps us twisting for a while before the resolution.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series! I love sports themed romances and this was very well done.

This is a sweet romance with little spice. I loved the pace, the characters, and the lush descriptions. I enjoyed it so much, I bought the other books in the series to read when I realized there were more.

Trey Sheenan has gotten out of prison for accidentally killing a man in a fight. while inside he has lost contact with his onetime fiancee and infant daughter. When he learns that McKenna is getting married to a local stuffed shirt, Trey jumps into action and kidnaps her from the church. On the run with McKenna and their daughter, Trey ends up at a family cabin and has the fight of his life to reunite his family.
This was a wonderful holiday novella. full of regrets over past actions, hope for the future and the magic of the holiday season.

When Tammy takes a job with Shirley Holmes, she gets herself into a rabbit hole of invisible dogs, missing people, mystery corporations, etc. Then there is the question of Shirley's sanity or lack there of. When the book ends we aren't sure what has just happened and though we have some answers, there are also a whole bunch of possibilities that may or may not be true. This is certainly an entertaining first book in the series and I will look forward to future entries.

When Christina has had it with her closed off husband, she heads home to her family's home for Christmas. Her husband, Dare, knows he has been a jerk and should let her go but he listens to his heart and follows her. Dare comes from an extremely dysfunctional family and thinks Christina could do better than him so he behaves badly to push her away. Normally I hate this plot type but Dare is so conflicted, you can't help but root for him to get his head out of his butt.
The magic of Christmas does its job in this book. I see that it is part of a series which I will have to read because I enjoyed this book.
