Dead by Midnight is a treat for Pamela Clare fans. (If you are not yet a fan, this book can be read as a stand alone book). All of our favorite couples are in the same building when....you guessed it...terrorists take an entire party hostage. Stupid terrorists. The I-Team is attending the party.
Lots of tense, exciting moments and our I-Team alpha males are at their best. Kudos to Holly who is so incredibly badass.
Oh, and the love scenes are smoking hot, too.
Seriously, if you are a fan of romantic suspense and you have not yet started this series, what are you waiting for?

There's a whole lot of sex, not much substance. I was rapidly losing patience in the alpha male character and the wishy washy female lead. Make up your mind already. Choose a guy.
Note: I have read this author previously and have enjoyed her Killer Instincts series immensely, so I guess this series didn't grab my attention.

Then read the series in order and come back to this one last. No, I am not messing with you OCD-must-read-it-in-order types, it's just that The Turn will mean so much more to you.
The Turn is set before the events of The Hollows series. It describes exactly why tomatoes are the villains (no, nothing like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, but it could be....). We meet some of our Hollows favorites, some new characters, and there are a few interesting cameos.
It's a fascinating story that Hollows fans will eat up. Please pass the ketchup!

I wish I could go Roman Crazy on a Roman holiday. I want a Marcello of my own!
Roman Crazy was a perfect escape from real life, a wonderful way to relax for a few hours. Right from the first paragraph, I was in stitches laughing and you will be too.
Roman Crazy is the story of two former lovers who meet up and get a second chance at love. There’s Avery, the socialite from a wealthy family who finds her husband in a compromising position. And then there’s Marcello, the one that could have been THE ONE, if only…
Through a chance meeting, the two reconnect and the chemistry between the two is incredible.
And whoa, what a romance! How could you even ask for more? Rome is a perfect backdrop for this couple. So romantic! There’s a deliciously slow buildup as Avery and Marcello get to know each other. So sexy! You feel as if you were in Rome, enjoying all it has to offer.
Avery is a strong and compassionate character. Avery takes advantage of her situation and while she is grieving a broken marriage, she manages to reinvent herself, taking on art restoration projects. She also takes full advantage of Rome and starts to paint again. She also learns to stand up for herself and to put herself first.
And Marcello, what can I say about Marcello? So handsome, so sexy, and perfect for Avery.
Roman Crazy is a wonderful escape from the drudgery of real life. It’s hot and steamy, sexy, and laugh out loud funny. A perfect vacation read. Highly recommended.

Sometimes a book is appealing because of the author. Other times, a sexy cover beckons. And then there are times when you start reading a book and something just clicks. Maybe it's because you've felt like the main character, maybe it's because the book just has the correct amount of quirkiness, or just maybe.....it fit your mood.
I wish this book had been around when I was in high school. I wish I had a book like The Bubblegum Reaper to read and ponder like our main characters did. I wish I could have met an author and discussed his/her book (even though Booker did not discuss his book with his friends).
Every Exquisite Thing will appeal to anyone who has experienced loneliness, bullying, depression and the emotional hormonal ride of high school. I loved Nanette, and I loved her even more when she started talking about herself in the third person. She could have been one of the popular girls but she chose to be herself instead. In many ways, I admired her choices.
This is the second book I've read by this author and I will be adding his other books to my reading list this summer.

BUT - I am a big fan of Ms. Spear's wolves and I enjoy her storytelling skills.
My Review:
I'm sure that many of you paranormal romance readers have dreamed of being swept away by a billionaire (he he - what are the chances?). Terry Spear's new book Billionaire in Wolf's Clothing has our lead character Jade being swept away by billionaire wolf Rafe. So be warned - if you don't like the trope, this book isn't for you.
This book is a perfect summer read by the pool kind of book. It's light, fluffy, and there's a lovely little happily ever after. I enjoyed the progression of the romance and I adored Rafe. I also loved the supporting cast of characters that surrounded Rafe. And Toby - what a cutie.
I also have to give the book cover an A+. Nice job on that. I've said it before - Terry Spear writes great wolf stories - humorous, sexy, and fun.

I enjoyed the book, however it did take me a lot longer to read than other Nalini Singh books. Perhaps it could be said that I was savoring the stories. My personal favorite was the first story Echo of Silence which had a human/Psy pairing. I really loved Stefan and Tazia - they were perfect for each other. I also liked how the author touched upon Tazia's culture and how important her family and background were to that character. The other story that stuck with me was Flirtation of Fate with Garnet and Kenji as the main couple. I liked how Garnet and Kenji had to work together to solve a murder mystery as they worked out their very complicated relationship. All in all, a good read and perfect for people who just can't get enough of Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series.

My Review: Yet another amazing installment in the Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassins series. This series just keeps getting better and better. In Snared, Gin's nemesis is a serial killer with a penchant for blondes.
Lots of action. Lots of magic. Lots of down home barbecue cooking. And a few little flashbacks revealing a little bit more of Gin's background.
Great series. Can't wait for more.

Finn is suave, debonair, great with money, looks good in black, and is a wonderful brother/support for Gin. I was really excited to read a story about Finn and was looking forward to something exciting. Well, I did not get what I expected. Instead, the story begins in the aftermath of book 14 Bitter Bite and no one wants to be around Finn.
Finn is forced urged to help out a "damsel in distress" who wants nothing to do with him. There's a bit of snarkiness about cheap suits - something that Finn would never be seen in - some bling, and some of Finn's skills are put to use.
I found this story a little bland for my taste. I think that perhaps I had expected more Bria and Finn, and more of the rest of Gin's gang.

Nicely paced thriller, good lead couple, but a little too easy to guess the villains and the deep dark secret.
The Review: Repressed was a fun little summer read. A nicely paced thriller, full of secrets and twists.
What I liked about this book: I liked Samantha and Ethan. They had a wonderful chemistry together and each had their own secrets about their past. I enjoyed the small town atmosphere. It really added to the gossipy and secretive nature of this book. I liked the mystery aspect even though I was able to guess the villain by the last third of the novel.
Overall, a good summer read.
