Nevertheless this was actually a decent read, easy to follow, cute moments and all the cliche romance tropes thrown into a nice 300 pages, wrapped up with a neat red bow.
A good palette cleanser. Easy to read in one day, I’d recommend this to get you out of a slump

SexLook, I love how this book in it’s time of publication was extremely controversial for pushing the literary boundaries and being sexually graphic. Sex positivity is a topic I feel very strongly about and I love to see it spoken so openly with no taboo however… this just didn’t do it for me. Love Theoretically is a STEM romance that is light enough to read in a sitting and get you out of a book slump and also is interesting enough to keep you entertained for over 300 pages.
Slow Burn, Witty, Brothers Best Friends (in an unconventional kind of way)

A classic and tender friends to lovers romance novel. Hazel gets her heart broken and she is trying to heal with the help of her best friend Alex, who low and behold is in love with her. Is Hazel completely unaware? Yes. Does Alex become a lovesick puppy trying to get her to see what a great love match he is for her? Also yes.
Even though this is a cut and dry classic friends to lovers tale I still really enjoyed it, the family and friendship dynamics where superb and the communication was also so natural and well paced out.
The length was perfect, I didn't lose interest or get bored and the humor was actually humourous (this is surprisingly rare)
My only downfall was the lack of depth within some of the main characters, it felt very surface level, especially Alex; who seemed cliched "Best Friend love interest" but.. a reminder, I am a complete fiend for emotional and character focused books so this is a criticism catered to my personal taste. ...more

I loved this book! The cozy vibes, the characters where all so likeable and realistic. I loved the slowburn natural romance that occurred and I’m so happy she ended up with who she did.
I felt like the pacing was slightly slow towards the end of the book if it was about 70-80 pages shorter it would of been perfect but it got to a point where there was just pages of useless scenarios that I didn’t necessarily enjoy, but apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed and this is everything I could want in a romance! ...more

I got annoyed at the love interest a lot because they simply didn’t communicate, which is part of the plot but I just couldn’t get over the frustration. Also the spicy scenes where a little bit confusing and rushed and I just ended up skipping them.
Overall it was a fun read but nothing that will stick in my brain. I enjoyed the premise but the writing fell slightly short for my own personal taste. ...more

It’s so hard to write about a book that tackles such a heavy topic like domestic violence in a sensitive way. It’s such a big topic and to wrap it up in a 300 page romance novel is near impossible.
Nevertheless Katherine Turner managed to do so in a great way. I think it was written fantastically in regards to that topic.
My only downfall with this book is it just simply wasn’t for me, I am unsure to pinpoint what it was, but the pacing for my personal taste was a bit clunky and I found myself struggling to get into it. That is no fault to the author however as I do believe it was written well overall.
Going into this I do recommend checking the trigger warnings as it is quite detailed in certain scenes. ...more

This was such a cute wholesome academic rivals/ enemies to lovers romcom story.
Tatum, the daughter of a famous chef comes to work at the farm to table venue owned by Chef Lennox Hawthorne, the two had been rivals since culinary school and this meeting reignites some of that competitive passion.
Low level spice, very cute and wholesome characters, the writing was great. I would definitely recommend this book as a palette cleanser if you are wanting a light low stakes romcom novel to get you out of a slump.
Was it revolutionary? No. Was it a good time? Yes. ...more

Wow, what an AMAZING read, The Love Rematch is a witty, faced past, second chance romance novel that has you hooked from the first line. ( and dual POV!)
Imagine waking up one morning to see your mum on a morning news segment practically begging for you to go on a reality dating show, well that's what happened to the FMC Emily Peters. Not only did Emily end up going onto this bachelorette esque reality show but her childhood love who broke her heart 7 years prior is the producer.
As you can imagine this premise has you on the edge of your seat. Immersive plot and satirical dialogue had me reading this in one day!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, it was so entertaining seeing Emily date 30 different men in front of her ex and make him suffer, Emily was a funny realistic and likeable mc and had me rooting for her the entire book. Not to mention her sister is ICONIC, had me actually laughing out loud with some of the things she said.
I literally can not fault this novel at all (which is extremely rare for me) Loved it.

The plot had so much potential, it felt more so like a thriller dark romance which I LOVED however it just fell short for me.
I love the writing style of HD Carlton so this won’t stop me from continuing and reading her books, but this didn’t tick any boxes for me.

Friends to lover; Sophie Mitchell is "not like other girls" she wears converse under her dresses (seriously is this 2004 wattpad?) meets resident Formula 1 bad boy Liam Zander who falls for Sophie and is dedicated to helping her tick off items from her "Naughty Bucket List"
Where do I start? Where do I end? This was 300 pages too long, the miscommunication trope was incredibly frustrating and the main female protag was infuriating. The only reason I didn't DNF this book was because I LOVE Lauren Asher's writing and I was obsessed with Throttled (first book in the series)
Liam is a walking red flag, and I mean bright neon red. This is a legit serious quote. ------------------------------------------------------------ "Adding a condom to the mix feels like another way she wants to pull away from me" ------------------------------------------------------------ I wish I was kidding, not only that but then he proceeds to say that the condom is too small for him. I am truly flabbergasted at the idea of Liam being the love interest in this novel. I cringed 90% of the time?
Boring, sexist, horribly paced. Unfortunately this book was a huge disappointment, if you want to read this series I advise skipping this book....more

The way Ana Huang writes keeps me interested despite the predictability of romance books that I normally encounter. From the start you are compelled to keep reading as there is so many more intricate details added into the cliche type A romance tropes.
