Another super sweet & cute omegaverse romance, just like Omega Captive of the Alpha Dragon. Despite the slavery/forced marriage premise, this read was a cuddly, fluffy and smutty time.
Not much plot or character building going on, but still fun nonetheless. I looooved Danon’s dragon, such a cute twist to the story.

«I’d mastered him completely, and it definitely didn’t feel like a fantasy. In fact, I was beginning to worry that I wouldn’t be able to let this glorious fantasy go once Ari’s heat ended.»
His Hunter felt like I was reading two different books. The first 30% was exactly what I expected — omegaverse erotica with some fun kinks. The primal play was very hot, and had the whole book been about Ari’s heat I don’t think I would’ve complained.
After that a whole different book starts, and we’re thrown into this action-y/mafia suspense plot. Which was also sort of fun, but just so different from the initial vibe of the book you lose the romance completely. I didn’t feel Ari and Samson bonding, couldn’t feel their love with all the action and plotting happening around them.
So yeah, sort of fun but the two vibes didn’t really mesh well together and towards the end I was just bored and over it.

Overtime was my fave of the series so far. The pining, the possessiveness. Best friends turning into more.
“You’re not gonna come, because I didn’t tell you to. And you’re gonna be good, aren’t you?”
The spice was insane. I loved the JOI scenes, Zane controlling how and when Zammy would come, the alpha on alpha action, the jealousy. I also really loved the epilogue. Seeing how gone Zane was for Ishir all along was amazing.
This installment was more sexy than angsty, but I very much enjoyed it.

This series feels like I’m rereading my fave hockey romances, with the added sweet twist of omegaverse. Face Off felt a little shorter and less captivating than Fresh Ice, but still a lovely read. I enjoyed seeing Orion and Gabby rekindle their lost love, mend their broken hearts and fall for each other all over again. I also loved that we got more resolution to Alonso and Levy’s story.
Again, their ending felt unfinished, just like the previous book. Hopefully we get more of these couples.

Omegaverse is my go-to genre if I need to shut my brain off, or reset after a heavy book or stressful week. And Omega On The Run did not disappoint.

Fresh Ice brings together two great sub-genres — Hockey Romance and omegaverse. We get the thrill of hockey and the sweet & loving aspect of omegaverse.
The spice was hot and steamy, without being too OTT, as some omegaverse tend to be. It was spicy, but also very tender and loving.
Levy was exceptionally sweet and caring, and I didn’t expect any different from Marina Vivancos. Her relationships are always super lovely, her writing enthralling, her plots entertaining. The ending did feel a little more HFN than an ever after, but hopefully we’ll get to see more of Levy and Alonso in the future.
I really enjoyed this first installment, and am definitely going to read the rest of this series.

How To Train Your Human Omega was delightfully fun, smutty and romantic. Despite this not being exactly new material — the premise is quite similar to The Fating and to The Alien's Kidnapped Omega — I still really enjoyed Clay and Arcay’s crazy story.
The characters were great, they had a nice chemistry and the relationship grew at a believable pace. I loved Arcay’s growth throughout the story, going from gruff and rough and stuck in the olden ways to loving and sweet and, as Clay calls him, a big purple puppy.
“I am attempting to perform ‘dating’ with you, but our records do not go into detail about the specifics.”
Another lovely micro trope warning, aliens/creatures that don’t know what kissing is. Gimme gimme. There was a fair bit of drama, a little touch of miscommunication (they do come from different planets after all), but there was also some humor, yummy smut, a glowing romance, a lot of lovely feels. I kind of wish there was a second epilogue, something a little more in the future, but that’s probably me not wanting to let these two go.
“Our bond only confirms what I already knew; that you are the only person, human or Aldar, that I want to know with my entire soul.”
This was a very entertaining, fun read, and I look forward to seeing more from Arden Fox.

A mated alpha/omega couple find a broken, sad omega who needs their help, and possibly..their love?
The Sad Omega is a really fitting title, ‘cause for a while there I was doubting this had an HEA. Isca’s days were just abuse after abuse, but luckily Talius and Irian manage to save him from his awful fate.
The first 50/60% was pretty tough to get through, not only because of what Isca goes through, but also for a lot of unnecessary content. It really dragged on for way too long, the angst was on the edge of too graphic for my liking, and the happy ending was a little rushed and lackluster. The writing and plot line needs a bit of work, ‘cause the premise and characters were interesting, they just lacked some depth and shape.
Not a bad read, just not a great one either.

Great continuation of King Sebastian and horse whisperer Jonah’s love story. It’s pretty much identical to the first book — heavy erotica, lots of cum and slick, orgies happening left and right. The major difference is the mpreg, implied in the first installment, but very present and explicit in King’s Mate.
I enjoyed seeing them reach their happily ever after, but (view spoiler)[I did skip/skim the birthing scene (hide spoiler)]. That was just a tad too much for me.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Nobody does omegaverse quite like Roe Horvat. The way they still manage to slide in some plot amongst the porn is honestly impressive. I came for the smut, stayed for the love story.
Even though it’s pretty obvious where this series is leading, I’m still intrigued enough to continue reading about Sebastian and Jonah’s tale of debauchery and endless orgies (seriously, sooo much fucking).

I had to yet try the accidental/surprise pregnancy trope, and was pleasantly surprised. It didn’t feel too over-the-top, and I think I liked it more that it was set years after and not during the pregnancy. The second chance trope doesn’t always work for me, but here it was lovely. The characters were absolutely adorable, especially Eric.
Room 908 was a sweet, feel-good romance. A nice, warm hug and a mind relaxer. It was a little too short, though. I would’ve liked maybe a slower build-up of the relationship, with Eric slowly gaining Jasper’s trust by being all romantic and cutesy.

While Skydive still kept an undercurrent of emotions among the smut, I felt Levity didn’t quite manage to do the same. I know it’s primarily meant to be seen as omegaverse erotica, but the connection between Leo and Davidson felt only sexual.
Other reason I didn’t enjoy this installment as much as the first was the kinks, the main one being humiliation/degradation. Nothing wrong with it, it just doesn’t do anything for me. The dirty talk just made me feel actually dirty and a little too over the top. I’m sorry, but ‘gaping fuckholes’ just makes me cringe.
“Fuck, omega, your ass looks like a hungry mouth.”
I’m not sure how I feel about that, but it certainly isn’t aroused.
Plot-wise, the twist was predictable, the villain too OTT, but what I really disliked was Leo’s complete personality change once he meets Davidson. He felt like a complete different person, and I kind of wished he kept more of his bratty & snarky side.
Overall, this was still a pretty entertaining read, just not entirely for me.

I love how the author incorporates various forms of gender expression in their works, from trans to genderfluid. Amazing message of inclusivity and acceptance, and we need more of it in this world.
