~ SPOILER WARNING ~
First of all, I would’ve loved a dual POV, to see Rainy from Adler’s eyes. Some stories are great with just one point of view, but here it felt like something was missing. This also ties in with my second point, which is a more solid backstory for the characters. Seeing as this might be the start of a series, hopefully in later installments we get to dig deeper into what makes them them, because although we do get some info on their pasts, it was a bit surface-level for me. I also wasn’t really invested in the loads of side characters, way too many people introduced and my brain can’t keep up with everyone. This lead to me skimming lots of the dialogue, because not only was it boring, it just wasn’t relevant to the plot.
“Fuck, God.” “Did I give you permission to speak freely?” “No, sir,” Rainy gasped.
If anything needs to be explored further in the next book, let it be the hot as fuck dom energy Adler was giving in that last spice scene. The smut was insane. I loved the banter, the struggle of trying to remain enemies but ‘why is he so goddamn attractive’, the ’fuck now, might kill you later’. Had the whole book been just them fucking and fighting, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more.
“I’ll kill you tomorrow,” he said, as bored as though he were announcing he’d take a trip to the supermarket.
Nothing Good has so much potential to be an awesome series, so really hoping that the next one will bring that extra spark that was missing here.
And then the apprehension and adrenaline were undercut by a flash of sadness from the knowledge that from the very beginning, from the very first moment they’d met, nothing good or soft could have ever come of this.

It tastes like something I shouldn’t have, a glimpse of forbidden euphoria.
What was missing from this read was balance. The dynamic between the characters was off, the angsty plot lines were all over the place, and the spice was weirdly a lot but also not enough.
Their relationship also felt unbalanced. It felt like Cole and Levi - and then Kai. A couple adding a third, not a throuple.
All three of them had different issues that brought drama and angst, but I didn’t feel they were done in the best way. Having so many different subplots all meshing together made the flow a bit jumpy and messy. There were a lot of time skips even during the same chapter that pulled me out of the story. One paragraph their together, the next it’s three weeks later. One minute they’re talking, then they’re making out, and the next sentence their enjoying their post-orgasm bliss.
“You want me to fuck you like the slut you are, princess?”
Which brings me to the spice. For most this is probably a very spicy read, but for me it felt like an unsatisfactory edging session. The sex scenes were cut off a lot, sometimes right in the middle of them. I enjoy descriptive scenes, from start to finish, no time skips in between, no position jumping. So although technically this did have a lot of smut, to me it felt more closed-doors than I expected.
Just Between Us had plenty of promise, but the writing style just didn’t work for me.

This was a bit of a mess — a tad too long, mostly smut with no actual plot, a confusing POV. It reads like a fanfic, old school Wattpad style erotica, dumb teenage boys being super horny and dumb. But… I enjoyed it?
Despite the iffy beginning, I actually started caring about these three dummies along the way. The characterizations were well done, all three boys having distinct personas and thoughts and feelings, and I enjoyed their dynamic, the sexual exploration and discovery, the personal growth they all went through.
Let’s be real, though. This was 400+ pages of porn. Lots and lots of (surprisingly good, if not a bit unrealistic) porn. [Can guys actually cum that many times?? And is male squirting an actual thing or just a porn thing? I have questions.]
The kink exploration felt pretty realistic, just teenagers thinking with their dicks and finding out what feels good, making mistakes along the way, not knowing what they’re doing. I liked that they acknowledged when they fucked up, tried to learn from their mistakes. The ending wasn’t as satisfying as I hoped though, and I thought their relationship needed a bit more balance between the three of them.
I don’t know if I can recommend this in good conscience, but if you’re looking for loads of smut and the kinks tickle your fancy then this read might be for you. Looking for an emotionally satisfying romance? Then maybe don’t pick this one up.

I think I loved Nick and Joey’s story the most. It was achy, but real and emotional, romantic but also hot as fuck. I loved everything about these two.
«Why can’t I ever be enough?»
I really connected with Joey’s hurt — having to grow up so fast, having to be the adult of the family. Not having someone to lean on, not being able to let your guard down. I’m so happy he found his happy ever after with lovely and supportive Nick. I loved how they were both a bit imperfect, but still so sweet to each other, how there was no judgement or resentment between them, just love and care.
“Tell Daddy how badly you want him to make you come.”
Queen of daddy issues over here, so you know this level of spiciness ticked all my boxes. The way Joey submitted to Nick, the subtle dominance, the whimpering, and even the sticky food play was all so incredibly hot. I don’t think I can look at a cinnamon roll without thinking of this book.
This moment right here is healing something I didn’t realize was still broken. A hidden scar I didn’t know was still open. “Yeah. He gives really good dad hugs.”
I managed to not spill any tears right up until this moment, but Nick’s dad hugging Joey just broke me. Some wounds just never heal, but seeing a fictional character heal from his might just make mine hurt a little less.
Off Sides is my new favorite of the series, and this is one of those couples that I’ll keep with me for a long while.

The more I find out about these cursebreaking brothers, the more I love all of them. This world of magic and curses was really entertaining.
“Pretending is pointless.” “Pretending what?” Hart asked, breaking their eye contact and focusing on the fight. “That you don’t like me.”
Hart and Cane’s story was so unexpected, a whirlwind of passion, love that was more of a “I hate that I need you” type of love. It was a burning fire, all consuming. Don’t get me started on the spice. Candy Cane was yummy everywhere.
«He looked all too perfect at all times. All too ready to be destroyed by someone. Unraveled.»
Cane let Hart be himself, helped him let go. I loved seeing the bad boy side of Hart, how he was all proper and rule-abiding but fell for the baddest of them all. And Cane was surprisingly sweet, underneath all the tattoos and crime lord mask.
“As if anyone even comes close to you, sweetheart,” Cane said, and with a final thrust, Hart shattered into pieces.
The curse aspect was also intriguing, much like the first installment, and it was fun following along the investigation. There’s also a mysterious over-arching plot developing in the background, and I’m curious to see where A. M. Rose will take it next.
“I was yours from the moment I met you.” “Then I want to be yours too,” Hart said. “For real this time.”

Sohven wants Jace to become his official mate on his home planet, afraid to lose him again after all that’s happened. Going back to Lohnyal might’ve not been the best idea, though….
I’m so happy we get more of Jace and Sohven’s story and that they got their HEA.
This book felt like the complete opposite of the first one — in Head Above Water all we know are Jace and Sohven, they are always together, just the two of them on an alien planet. Whereas in a Rock and a Hard Place they are separated almost at the start. It was interesting to follow how their bond strengthened even when they couldn’t be together much, even when they were surrounded by others who wanted them. The more they were separated, the more I longed for them to be reunited, for them to just forget about the traditions and Sohven’s family and leave together.
The mating trials were also different and fun. We were in the dark as much as Jace was, and discovering what each trial entailed as he discovered it was intriguing.
The spice was great, but a little sparse. I really liked the teasing moments though, when they would tease each other from afar ‘cause they couldn’t touch.
The ending was a bit abrupt, satisfying on the romance side, but not plot-wise. There wasn’t any closure with Sohven’s parents.
Overall I really had fun with this and look forward to seeing where the author will take this series next.

Getting hired at a famous Michelin star restaurant seems to be a dream come true for Sadie. How far is she willing to go to keep her dream alive, and her past behind her?
SPOILERS AHEAD.
Thrilling and full of twists, One Last Bite had me on the edge of my seat, anxious to uncover all the secrets hidden around the Thistle restaurant. I enjoyed the writing style, immersive and engaging, but had a really hard time with the main character, Sadie. Talk about an insufferable character.
Not only was she not the most reliable narrator, she was also opportunistic and kind of selfish. Drunk on the chance of fame and success, she was absolutely blind to the dangers and red flags around her. Her backstory wasn’t expanded on enough to get the full picture, only bits and pieces she shared sparingly throughout the story. (view spoiler)[For example, the reason she went to prison. I can kind of guess, but it doesn’t get fully explained at any point. (hide spoiler)] I did, however, really like the other main character. Had they been shown more, I might’ve loved this more.
Even though I enjoyed the mystery uncovering, it was all pretty predictable. (view spoiler)[Devon was a walking ick right from the beginning. (hide spoiler)] The ending was also disappointing, unfortunately. Very anticlimactic. (view spoiler)[ From the title, I expected the finale to center around her food, for there to be the one last bite moment. That did not happen. (hide spoiler)]
The gripping writing really pulled me in, but the characterizations were just a little off, and the plot not complete enough to be satisfying.

I had to yet try the accidental/surprise pregnancy trope, and was pleasantly surprised. It didn’t feel too over-the-top, and I think I liked it more that it was set years after and not during the pregnancy. The second chance trope doesn’t always work for me, but here it was lovely. The characters were absolutely adorable, especially Eric.
Room 908 was a sweet, feel-good romance. A nice, warm hug and a mind relaxer. It was a little too short, though. I would’ve liked maybe a slower build-up of the relationship, with Eric slowly gaining Jasper’s trust by being all romantic and cutesy.

Vix the alien was such a fun character, and if you know me you know I’m a sucker for beings that struggle with human customs. How he’d talk very formal-like but then throw in the most random slang was so funny.

Could’ve been a cute love story, but turned out just plain and boring.
The characters didn’t have much depth to them, and the spice was very emotionless. I felt nothing while reading this — no connection to the MCs, no happiness when they got together, no hotness during the spice. Nada.
The smut wasn’t as detailed as one would expect with BDSM, most of the sex scenes were very short and straight to the climax. In other words, not enjoyable and, again, boring. Like, if you’re going to put in a flogging scene you cannot just brush over it in one sentence. What’s the point?
The writing also didn’t really flow right. The POV would switch between the characters from one paragraph to the next, making it difficult to follow along and get in their heads. It was all very skimmable and bland.
