He found Franco funny and had him laughing out load especially as he was his favourite character. The bonus about this book was O talked about him throughout the day with other characters from other books he has read.....and made other adventures of them all which was fun for us all. O loved especially as it was a picture book as well and he found the illustrations very bright and colourful.
Now O can't wait to be big enough to own and drive a car himself! Any car will do! But a Bright red Ferrari would be great!
O can dream, but you never know.......some dreams do come true............
O said he really liked it and he would recommend it.

Plus, to see a little boy smile when he opened this book, then started to read it. My nephew O absolutely loved it. Especially, as it was so colourful and fun to read. He loved the bits of the French language that was in the book Plus, there was more at the back which was magic! (O words!) O took this book into his school and showed his teacher, now this book is used for their French lessons as they're being taught this.
Meli & Mac: Rendez-vous with a Flamingo became a much loved book for many of O's friends. His mum who is also a teacher enjoyed reading and learning new basic words in another language. This has become a favourite book of theirs.
Within this beautiful book, we meet Meli and Mac and have some flamingo fun in Serendipity Forest - and use the translation guide to learn a little French along the way!
This book is written in English and includes a basic introduction to French words and phrases. A great way of being introduced to French, especially it can be read to younger children while they follow the beautiful illustrations. I also found it great to be one of the first books a young child could learn to read from.....Double bonus.
I loved this book as well and found it fun to read and enjoyed reading this with O and having fun talking basic French to each other..........It's a great way to introduce children to a new language which is beautiful.

Catalog of Desire and Disappearance by Ana Cruz was a beautifully written book with an eye catching colourful cover. I loved reading about East BerlinCatalog of Desire and Disappearance by Ana Cruz was a beautifully written book with an eye catching colourful cover. I loved reading about East Berlin and especially in the 80's. The main character is called Anna Wolfe who is 28 years old, still living at home and has no desire to move out in to the big wide world! or even to get a boyfriend, or future partner or even to get married!!! Thats well over her head! She is a Librarian and works at Lichtenberg Public Library. But, whilst walking home one evening, she notices something in the corner of her eye and goes to investigate, on a closer inspection she finds a hand written diary and letters. Anna wonders why it has all been thrown away like this? She then starts to read the most intriguing tale Catalogue of Desire and Deception that is captivating, and she just wants to read more of this diary etc.............
This diary and personal letters have been written by someone called Gabriella Meyer, who is a sex therapist. She loves helping others in this area and writes into great detail in throughout her diary about women and men relationships she has helped with their sex problems etc, whilst giving them lots of advice throughout. Gabriella, is very, Very open and honest in her diary etc, writing about her own sexual encounters with her husband Berndt as well............Ohhhhhhh The more Anna reads about Gabriella and Berndt she starts to wonder why this diary has been discarded in the manner and where are they both now?
This book is excellent from start to finish and was hard to put down. I loved the way the author Ana Cruz wrote and it will have you hooked, especially the way she wrote about the characters they just came alive. The book just flows through the years and delivers a very easy, light read with a brilliant twist at the end.
A great holiday read. I loved it. Thank you x

So when Aesop the Storyteller: A Book of Fables Retold in Verse by Leon Conrad and Alessandro Scafi the illustrator. I was transported back in time again, to revisit these wonderful stories. But this time it was reversed as I was reading these with my nephew O, who just loved just this book from start to finish. This was a joy to read and re-read it again, then to sit and talk about what happened next to the fox? the lion and the mouse? What happened to the Wolf and the kid.......etc So many questions and giggles we both together sitting on the sofa had and making up new stories on what happened to the them all.........O is still talking about his favourite stories of this wonderful book now. Plus, I even got him to eat grapes and he didn't like them before we read the fable about the fox and the grapes! (result!)
The illustrations were sweet but just needed a little colour to brighten the page. But, are beautifully drawn and went well with the fables.
Within the lovely sweet book you will read and learn what happens to the wonderful animals.

The Dog Care Handbook: Things I Wish My Vet Had Told Me by Christopher Little PhD was one of the best books I have sitting in my book shelf. This bookThe Dog Care Handbook: Things I Wish My Vet Had Told Me by Christopher Little PhD was one of the best books I have sitting in my book shelf. This book is Brilliant and full of useful information to help you care for your family dog. It will improve your knowledge of your family dog or other dogs, it will help you understand of all the important common diseases that your pet might develop and what to do if this happens. It will help you with your dog to have more understanding when you visit a vet as this can be a traumatic time for you and your dog, especially as you will need to find a Vet you can trust and who will respect your wishes and work with you and your budget.
This wonderful book covers your dogs entire lifespan from being a puppy to old age. I found this so interesting from the first page till the very last page. It is full of information on preventable health which is covered in great detail, from major conditions of their skin, heart, joints, kidneys, and other organs, diseases etc especially as it is explained clearly and you can understand what is going to happen next and what you will need to do next.
There is an excellent chapter that deals with specific emergencies and what to do if needed. It has Numerous illustrations are provided which make it easy to medicate your dog or provide first-aid, i.e. what to do if your dog is choking etc. There is information what to do if your dog has a wound, or has a dreaded grass seed in between their toes, or has a lump or your dog is constipated as this does happen!
Then, it has a great section of Emergencies; and what to do if this happens which I found brilliant. This covers, Dog fights, road accident, heat stroke, bloating, weakness in your dogs legs, when you dog has eating chocolate, garlic, onions etc. It even covers what to do if your dog has got bitten by an Adder snake! Ingested Slug bait - Metaldehyde to batteries!
This book keeps on giving............There is a chapter on "What to do if things go wrong" and covers what you can do if you can't afford the tests and treatments, How to go about changing your vet to how to make a complaint.
This is a Must Dog Bible handbook and a very helpful book, it just keeps on giving and a must to have in your house.
As a dog lover and owner to a Westie and a Cavapoo this book has been a gem especially as my Westie Millie is diabetic and now blind it has been a traumatic time for all of us but this book has helped me understand more about the condition and what to do if something happens to Millie and Charlie in the future.
A Big thank you to Literally pr for making me a part of a Book Tour I was invited to do and especially Christopher Little PhD.......If I could give 10 stars I would!
