I finished this book in two days and I’ve not done that in what feels like ages bc recently no book has singularly gripped me to the point I won’t pick up my other books I’m also currently reading.

The way I felt a whole range of emotions while reading their book omfds I laughed, blushed, giggled, cried, got angry, nervous, felt my heart skip beats, wanted to hug Cole so tight he’d never be able to escape.
There were so many times the banter made me laff so hard I was gasping for air, there’s just no feeling better than a book that manages to make u feel like being given the warmest most comfort inducing hug.
Violet is exactly the ray of fierce sunshine Cole describes her to be. She’s easily burrowed her way into my fav fmcs ...more

This book was rlly entertaining, I had sm funnnn. It could be made into a movie, it was so vivid. The whole concept, plot twists, characters with hinted depth, backdrops constantly changing, fast paced plot so ur never bored for too long. Almost everything worked out really well for me.

This book has officially put me in the worst slump I’ve had this year. The book hangover is REAL and it’s driving me insane. I can’t even look at another book because I'm hopelessly, irreparably, frightfully in love with these characters to the point I might perish if I don’t read the second one, but I CANT DO IT IM SCARED-
Although, I felt like nothing was happening for the first 40% of the book or what direction the book would take, I remained patient and kept going bc I knew it’s only the first in a trilogy. And it really picked up after the halfway mark, I was speeding thru the second half bc of the sizeable increase in stakes, tension and drama.
Stacey, I hate u but I can’t help that I love u too. At first, I was a bit like she's annoying and there was nothing overly interesting about her to make me want to care for her outside Kade but boi was I wronggggg. I’m sorry bbg I’ll never doubt u again ...more

JerCes delivered everything. Even though there was some back-and-forth drama, I still ate it up. It didn’t annoy me nearly as much as I was expecting. It did the opposite. Just showed me how much they’re made for each other. There was a depth to their relationship that isn’t there with any of her other couples except EliAva from LoG.
Ugh, the way I wanna kidnap Jeremy, keep him in my basement and hand-feed him forevermore. He’s just so fing cute when he’s jealous and possessive ...more

Anyway, the plot was really unique and I loved it. It was fun reading smth fresh.
Tbf I did get sorta bored at the 60% mark but then it picked back up and I liked it again discounting the third act bc he needed to grovel more. It wasn’t nearly enough after him acting like such a dumbass but whatever.
I liked some things. Then didn’t particularly like other stuff like all the exclamation points in the writing. It reminds me of something I would read on Wattpad and that’s not necessarily a bad thing but just not what I prefer.
Walker was this brute of a guy but I liked his bluntness. I liked that he took ownership of his actions. But the guy was so horny all the time I kept thinking bro chill. Like where’s the decency? WHERE IS THE DECORUM?! But then again I realise that was the point of how his character was made: to have no etiquette lmao.
Audrey was cute and a little annoying. But I got over it after a while. I didn’t like that she based her entire self-worth on other ppls thoughts of her bc of her past. But I love that Walker knew her well enough to give her daily affirmations (that’s mad cute)
Overall it was fun and entertaining (lots of drama)
