Even better is that this author decides the best outcome would be for his ex-wife (who is the heroine) to take him back after he has had his fill of the other like it's no big deal. oh, and of course the ex-wife never moved on from him. let's not even go there with him giving the kid he has with OW the same name as the baby he had with the heroine (the one she miscarried).

Raptor (VP) and Sage (club girl) start up a FWB thing that obviously means more to both of them…but Raptor is a tool and leaves town without her to start up a new club in his hometown. This happens at around 40%. It’s not until around 75% that they’re reunited… and it’s not through anything he does. It’s more to do with she’s in danger and needs protection and he’s apparently her only option, so the club sends her to him. We’re supposed to ignore the fact that not once during the time they’re separated did he contact her, and how the only reason they’re together in the end is because of circumstance. (view spoiler)[ and let’s not forget how when she is sent to him, she’s pregnant with his baby, so he doesn’t even have to try to get her back. Not really. Disappointed in how quickly she takes him back. (hide spoiler)]
Raptor would have continued to live his life and move on from Sage had she not been in danger. I just couldn’t get past that it took so long for them to be reunited, and annoyed that he didn’t have the balls to go after her in the first place.
Passive heroes bore me. Like this one did.

The hero was the only likeable character in the whole book. But not enough to want to read this author again. Especially after that last chapter. Not cool. ...more

I wish I could unread what I’ve already read.
The hero could have prevented what happened to the heroine but he didn’t. Neither does he suffer any consequences for his actions. I've read the original savage brothers books. some were good, some not so. but this new generation seems like a chaotic mess. i'd just finished reading king and shelby's book (which i think was #5?) but in this one, they've apparently split because...well, who knows. so king ends up with gabby...who was already with dom, and had an 'entanglement' (lol) with thomas - both who are king's half-brothers. it's just messy. i like messy but i don't like HEAs being messed with - and that's exactly what happened in this one. shelby leaving him for some other guy came out of left field and is complete nonsense.
i'm gonna stop trying to figure this shit out and move on to something else. ...more
Rebecca was annoying. Soooo annoying! She was so wishy-washy and had no confidence in herself or her relationship with her supposed best frien2 stars.
Rebecca was annoying. Soooo annoying! She was so wishy-washy and had no confidence in herself or her relationship with her supposed best friend, Blake. She lets her insecurities get in the way and she breaks his heart. All this while she still isn’t legally divorced. I like messy but this was just stupid. And in the end, I just didn’t care enough about whether she got her HEA or not.
But don’t worry because Blake is the typical TL Swan fuckboy who, after said breakup, moves away and starts seeing another woman. (We won’t mention the women before they get together because they’re apparently irrelevant). Even after Rebecca chases him down and tries to make things right with him, he just uses Rebecca for sex and then sends her back home so he can make a go of it with his new girlfriend. Two weeks later (after probably screwing the new girlfriend because past behaviour dictates he did even if it wasn’t mentioned), he heads back to Rebecca and she immediately takes him back. No questions asked. No STD check.
