I thought nothing of it people are always trying to promote there products holding little demonstrations or handing out free samples.. But the more and more I look I realize this man looks so familiar..(we have seen famous people at these things but there is usually a BIGGER CROWD AND LOTS OF FANFARE FOLLOWING..) I then notice hey he was on the DJ Vlad interviews... Then it hits me OH MY GOD!!! It's Freeway Ricky Ross Americas drug dealer, helped expose the Nicaraguan-contra debacle, and here he is on a book tour with High-Times (what a pair huh lol)!!! Well I tell my husband who knows who that is but is like ok so... I walk over and stand a few feet away he is taking pictures with people talking... And I'm standing there waiting he stops looks at me My Husband (God love the man) says babe you want a picture?!? He says yes let me get a picture with this pretty young lady.. I shoulder up and say I seen you on Vlad TV he thanks me I take the picture and go to the outside of the lil circle crowding around.. Then I see he is selling the book.. I get $20 out and walk up ask for a copy and he signs it right there To Ashley From Ricky Ross 6-25-2017!!!! Awesome guy, cool meeting, and very interesting book!!!!
Well the book starts from the middle to beginning to end... His legal run ins, growing up in the most poverty striven city in America, to become the most richest entrepreneur in a very taboo enterprise in the drug dealing game... But it's not a Look at me look over here. It's more of a look this is what happened now you stay away or this is what WILL HAPPEN!!! Very hard hitting story. This is truly a rags to riches, to defeat to a second chance at stardom was again. Maybe not the most beloved figure in our history, But a figure with a lot of historical prowess none the less. The crack epidemic of the 80's can still be seen and felt today and to see this man. Not only repentant but trying to better not only himself BUT HELP OTHERS!!!! That's a American Dream story if I have ever had to point to one...(the parts about his FRIEND Gary Webb is kinda sad because you know the outcome for the man.. But he still fights for him!!! A TRUE Man/Friend/ American Hero

NO NO NO NO I’M SORRY NO!!!!! Rape is not a term that I use lightly, It is not a excusable offense, BUT Females in this day and age are using the wor NO NO NO NO I’M SORRY NO!!!!! Rape is not a term that I use lightly, It is not a excusable offense, BUT Females in this day and age are using the word RAPE to get an array of 1. Sympathy , 2.A way to excuse THER behavior, 3. A way to feel no guilt about the roles each played… Now yes I like to think of myself as a pretty Open-Minded person. I can see the situation from both sides and go from there but I HAVE PERSONALY seen Females use the RAPE word to Beter there playing field and have no guilt or culpability for their own actions Example 1. When I was about 14 yrs old I had a group of friends ( we were called the Fab 5! Every young group has it. The group of friends you grow up with and get a feel for the world in general.) We all were at a party for another friend and one of the groups Brothers brought a girl that ended up having “Too much to drink” (come to find out she was dumping her drinks and faking being drunk.) She ended up getting into a fight with the friends Brother (her Boyfriend) and once he left decide she would show him and had sex with 5 other men at the party!!!! There was one point that 3 men went in at once and had a “Train on her “ after all this she came up to the sister and begged her not to say anything. She told her if he did not ask she would not tell. The girl went home and 3 days after the part took a Pregnancy test and left it out in the bathroom and her Mother found it. Instead of Admitting what happened She Told her mom that a man that didn’t even Touch her RAPED HER Her Mother (Understandably) tok her to the police station and the young man was charged and went to prison. After the truth came out the Mother fought to get the boy out but the damage was done he still registers as a sex offender, He stil did 6 yrs fort a crime he didn’t commit, BTW the girl got to plead her purgey and false police report down to PROBATION AND FINES!!!!! A man’s life ruined for what?!?! Example 2. In my 20’s I had been in the local Strip Club scene. I had been happy with the lifestyle for a little while Money, People, Places all very nice. But we all went on a trip that most people will think is Prostitution or Escorting but The honest to God truth is it was just that. We were being paid to be Arm candy for the trip.. That is what I did, ( during these trips if you decide to negogiate a price for more THAT’S ON YOU!!) we as a group went out a handful of times and had fun.. One of the girls was going over board and like the main character Amber was hanging all over, Touching, (In front of everyone Grabbing him in inappropriate places) she goes back to his hotel room, Says nothing for the next 4 day.. 2 WEEKS later she says He RAPED her Long Story Short He goes to jail she gets married lives a good life.. His story was she said No and was laughing while she said it.. That’s all LIFE RUINED!!!!
Maybe I am biased, Maybe I am Cold, or Mean....But I can not get behind this. Was the book written nice? Yes, Will I check out other books this Author writes? Sure!

But It was a good Police Procedure, Fast-Paced, Mysterious, Suspenseful, Thriller!!! I am looking forward to reading Book #1 and the next one in this series!

This book started off a little slow and kind-of annoying But I soon realized the author was a setting a detailed background and story plot for the events to come. (And She Left Nothing To Wonder About!!!) The point of views were of the main character Zoe walker Mother To 2 children (Katie and Justin) Ex-Wife of Matt, Girlfriend to Simon, and Friend to Mellissa and Neil, the other was of Kelly Swift Officer, Sister to Lexi (a Victim of Sexual Assault herself), Great Investigator ((view spoiler)[ Even though she went too far and assaulted a man she was investigating and questioning. (hide spoiler)])!!! Both women had their secrets and past but they both overcame them and were getting on with their lives when the events in the book started. Zoe gets a shock when she sees her picture with a website FindTheOne.com in a Classified Ad. (She didn’t put the ad up) and Kelly swift is the officer who investigates the case and gets the ball rolling getting the matter taken serious. As I said it is slow to start with and kind of jumps around from Zoe to Kelly’s issues. But from the midway point THAT’S WHERE OUR CHARACTERS AND THE STORY GET VERY VERY GOOD!!!!! More victims of crime because of the ads and website FindTheOne.com Crimes like Stalking, Theft, Assault, Breaking into homes, To MURDER!!! The police are getting more and more info thanks to Kelly Swifts hard work and perseverance. But it almost isn’t enough… The Twist at in the Last 2 chapters had my mouth on the floor and my palms soaked… I genuinely did not see that coming. And the very last page… WOW… I WOULD HAVE NEVER GUESSED… (I have read Suspense/Mystery/Thrillers again and again but this was a plot twist that was BRILLIANT!!!!! Who would have seen that coming… Now I kind of was upset I didn’t get who the culprit was (view spoiler)[ I fully believed it was Melissa’s Husband Neil THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!! (hide spoiler)] I am very happy to have got this book and would love to be able to pass it on and have others enjoy the book also.. It was a very Good, Thought-Provoking, Suspenseful/Thrilling, Eventful read and I think The Author Mrs. Clair Mackintosh has a great career ahead of her if she keeps putting books like this out!!! I am signed up for her other books (I hope I get them!!!! FINGERS CROSSED LOL!!! ) To anyone who has seen the book on here and has any doubts DON’T GET AND READ THE BOOK!!! IT IS A TERRIFIC READ!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! (The Ending… I am still in shock, I cannot get over how INSANE the plot twist was!!! GREAT STORY TELLING at its finest!!!!!!! ...more
