When I decided to go to my friend’s wedding, I never expected I’d be the one proposing.
I don't know what I was thinking. I lied about being engaged at an interview for a job I desperately need. When I run into my new boss at this wedding, it hits me then how badly I screwed up. I barely knew Sean Berne’s name when I saw him playing in the wedding band that night. So, as I approach this man I barely know, grabbing his hand like my life depends on it, I can only pray he’s quick on the uptake.
Something about those piercing green eyes and that devilish smirk - I just had a feeling he'd say yes. My heart jumps when he plays the part to perfection. I've never been so scared in my life. But keeping up a lie with a handsome stranger is also kind of fun.
We agree to act like a couple, going to parties and work events. I try not to swoon whenever he pulls me close. And when it turns out he’s amazing with my ten-year-old son, I get a glimpse of what could be. But It’s just an arrangement. It’s all fake. Until it’s not. And one night of passion turns into a pregnancy test with two pink lines.
Baby for my Fake Fiancé is a complete standalone in the New Harmony series. No cheating and no cliffhangers, just a Happily Ever After that will melt your heart and leave you longing for more!

Baby for my Fake Fiancé de Kate Lovelace
Argumento:
Nunca he estado tan asustado en mi vida.
Kristen y Sean me gustaban.
Me hizo reír locamente. Kristen no debió perdonarlo tan rápido.
Baby for my Fake Fiancé is the third book in the New Harmony Hunks series, featuring Sean and Kristen. Kristen is a single mom living paycheck to paycheck to provide for her 10 year old son, who applies for her dream job with an event planning company that emphasizes family values. In order to get the job, she needs a fiancé to introduce to her potential boss. The first familiar man she saw was Sean, the guitarist in the band at the party, who also happens to be co-owner of Mickey’s Tavern with the Parker Brothers.
The book employs the fake engagement, secret baby, and single mom tropes in some form. I like the characters—both Sean and Kristen are strong and relatable. At one point, I was yelling at Sean for decisions he was making, but he still was thinking of others when making the wrong choice. I loved the way both of them interacted with Daniel, he was an intriguing character to imagine—so smart! The story flowed well, was fast paced, tugged on emotions at times, included witty banter to keep things light, and the romance had great chemistry and connection. The only thing that frustrated me at times was the premise for the fake engagement. I thought it was a little weird to need to be engaged to get a job. It’s 2023, and that feels very archaic to me, even if the boss was a very nice guy. While we got to see glimpses of the Parker brothers a couple times, I would have liked a bit of catch up information on their relationships as well. Overall, the book was a fun read with a plot twist, a villain, and a couple that deserves an HEA. The epilogue was super cute, as well!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With a text message, Kristen’s now-ex-boyfriend tells her he can’t continue with their relationship and she and their son are on their own. Kristen thanks June, her 60-year-old babysitter for taking care of Daniel, as she heads out to a wedding reception that the whole town is invited to attend. The town green is in walking distance so her beat-up car isn’t needed tonight. June had encouraged her to attend this reception since she never has money to enjoy herself with Matthew having left 5 years ago and paying no support whatsoever for his son. She needs to get a better job soon though. She had interviewed with Paradise Events but had heard nothing, so she assumed she wasn’t selected.
Then, of all people, she ran into Brandon Willoughby, who had interviewed her for the job. And he asked about her “fiancé“. She had lied to him at the interview, but a fiancé made her home life seem more stable. So she told him her fiancé was here, and vaguely waved her hand toward the band. But now he wants to be introduced when the band takes a break! She reluctantly approached Sean Berne to introduce him, hoping he would catch on quickly and go along with her lie. He does, and he perfectly fit the role. Their relationship actually becomes much more and definitely real, but then Kristen’s ex shows up to threaten Sean, the band, and threatens to fight Kristen for custody. Will Sean back off? Or will he fight for the woman and child he already loves?
i must say i really liked this book. Kristen is your average single mom just trying to figure things out and Sean is a normal bachelor not ready to give up on his dreams. Everyone can relate to this book. I liked how understanding some of the things in the book worked out. Maybe not realistically, but it made for a good page turner. I recommend this book if you want to read a happy ending that won't get messy. This book is for those who believe in love and want to read something quick that can brighten up your day. Great job writer can wait to see your success. Hopefully this book turns into a series because i wanted to know how the other characters end up.

Kristen and Seans story was really charming. Kristen, a single mother, panics and makes up a fiance when interviewing for a job. Sean comes to her rescue and plays her fake fiance.
I liked that Kristen was a strong fmc and was doing her best to look after her 10yr old son.
I find these characters really believable and easy to connect to. The story was well paced and told from both of their point of view.

How strong can you be as a woman if your boyfriend texts you that he is leaving you with their 5 year old son? How strong can you be as a woman to arrange the education for your son alone with 2 jobs and a mortgage? How strong are you if you have no social life but everything revolves around your child? That's how strong Kristen is! But if she's applying for a job where it's clear family comes first, how bad is it if you tell a little lie? That you have a fiancee.....? Until your new boss wants to meet your fiancee. Than what?
This is the start of an unusual romance in which Kirsten appoints the unsuspecting Sean as her fiancee. He has seen her before but does not know her. Sean joins in in sidestepping a humiliating situation Kirsten finds herself in, posing as her fiancee. But every encounter between Sean and Kirsten makes it hard to fake it.
Kirsten always puts her son first and wants to prevent things from getting out of hand even though it is increasingly difficult to keep her hands to herself. When her ex interferes in their relationship and threatens Sean..... Will he choose Kirsten and her son or his dream of breaking through with his band?
Both characters came across as realistic. Kirsten a strong woman who did everything alone until she met Sean. And Sean; I thought he was great and a sensitive man. Until he made the wrong choice. Fortunately, the story ends with a HEA.

Kristin's boyfriend breaks up with her via a text message. He tells her that her and their son are on their own. She's been working day and night trying to provide for herself and her son. Determined to make lemonade out of lemons, Kristin heads into town to a wedding reception that seemingly everyone in town is invited to. She runs into the man, Brandon, who interviewed her for a job she believed that she didn't get. He asks her about her fiancé, one she mentioned in the interview, but doesn't really have so she implies that he is part of the band that is playing at the reception. She walks up to Sean when the band takes a break and hopes he'll play along with her ruse and act like her fiancé. He plays along then and agrees to pretend to be her soon to be husband for a while. What happens when things are no longer pretend and things get real when Kristin's ex decides he wants to make trouble for them?
This was a really good story with great characters. It definitely seemed weird she had to be married to get the event job, but it all worked out in the end.
Kristen is stunned when she receives a text from her boyfriend saying he was leaving her and their son. However, she kept things together and moved on. Now she has a problem with her new job its a family company and she lied about having a fiancé to get the job. Her new boss wants to meet her family now and she is struggling because she doesn't have a fiancé. Sean is in a band and when Kristen comes over and introduces him as her fiancé he just goes with it because he is interested in her. He figures it'll be a one and done type of things however, it turns into something more. He ends up helping her and she sends business his way as well. Will this turn into something more? Will someone from her past cause her to lose Sean?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I have always enjoyed Kate’s books and this one did not disappoint. Having read about all the Parker brothers we get to read about Sean an all round great bloke with Rockstar looks 🥵 ( he is a partner in their bar business) and Kirsten an amazingly strong single mother who became a recluse due to her exes disappearance trick. I enjoyed the concept of the book, fake becomes real, the douche of a ex comes back in order to become an even bigger douche, and adorable Daniel. Great characters, enjoyable storyline, bit of drama and some steamy moments. A real page turner. Wonder who’s next? Maisie perhaps? Charlie? Whoever it is I know I’m gonna want to read,.

Kristen's ex leaves her with her son, years later she ends up applying for a job and lies about having a fiancé to make life seem more stable. When attending a wedding, she meets the man who interviewed her and he wants to meet her fiancé. She ends up asking one of the members of the wedding band to help her by pretending to be her fiancé. Sean is happy to help Kristen out and soon their relationship starts to change into something real. But what happens when Kristen's ex turns back up wanting custody of their son. Will Sean stick around and he there for her or not.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

I really enjoyed the first two-thirds of this book. I liked how the relationship was developing and how Kristen was settling in with her new job. And then it felt like that old tale about always taking one accessory off before you leave the house. Only in this case it is take one romance trope out. It felt like there was already some natural conflict developing and the new one could have added something but it felt a bit Snidely Whiplash to me. Once he came I had trouble taking anything seriously somehow and just rushed through to the end.

Kristen has been raising her ten year old son Daniel alone for five years. When she gets offered a job at an event corporation that values family she tells a little white lie and tell them she is engaged. Now she has to find a fake fiancé so there he is on stage playing the guitar at a wedding reception. She barely knows him but he agrees to go along with her plan but things begin to fall apart when they both catch feelings and her slimy ex Matthew returns wanting her back. Cute romance with some side twists.

I loved this book! It’s told in first person POV by both the main male and female characters, has you feeling all the emotions and will have you hooked from page one!
I loved that Sean played along with Kristen from the beginning. I loved that they both were open about their feelings. I love that Sean made himself available to Kristen to show her he was serious. I love that Kristen was upfront with Sean and was able to lean on him when she needed him.
I can’t wait to read more stories from this author. She did a great job in writing this story.

This is the 3rd book in The New Harmony Hunks Series and it’s the Sean and Kristen’s story. She’s the single mom, living paycheck to paycheck as she applies for her dream job at an event planning company. For the job she needs a fiancé to introduce to her potential boss and pressed for time she chooses the guitarist in the band at the party as the guy hoping hoping he’d catch on quickly and play along. First Michael, then Liam, and now we finally see Sean's love story. Kate Lovelace improves with every installment of this series so I think these reviews really help her find her direction.
We had hints of something brewing for Sean and I have actually been curious about how he looks and his whole story for a while now. He is also the nicest guy, always able to pinch hit for the Parker brothers when needed.
If I needed an adjective to describe this story it would be sweet.
Great job with this story, author!.

This book was so good! It was my first book from Kate Lovelace and certainly won't be my last.🙂
After her boyfriend suddenly leaves Kristen and her then five-year-old son Daniel, she is forced to do everything on her own with the help of June until she meets Sean, the hot guitarist of the band Stage Revolution.
What starts out as a fake engagement turns into a real one after the two of them realize they love each other.
I love how even after Sean screwed things up between the two of them when he was being pressured by Kristen's ex he eventually made things right.

This is Book 3 in the New Harmony Hunks Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is a heartfelt romance between Kristen and Sean. These flawed but likeable characters, the undeniable connection and chemistry, and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. What starts out as a fake engagement turns into something more. It is a love story with steam, drama, humor, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An emotional read with heart, heat, and a happy ending.

In reading a Baby for my Fake Fiancé I found myself captured in the story and feeling what her characters were going through. I cringed, had tears and laughed. I do not like giving too much information on the story itself as I feel that gives away the want to read it. When I read books I do not look to reviews. The main character is a strong women who has had to struggle to provide. When given a chance at a new opportunity she tells a fib, which then makes her realize that she is in a bit over her head as now she needs a fiancé. The story grabs you in and you cannot put it down as you want to know what happens.
I thought this was an average romance probably because I am not particularly fond of rock band romances. I did not find the characters particularly likable especially the H. He made a pretty lousy choice in the end when he was forced to choose between his wannabe future career and the woman with her son whom he absolutely adored. That’s not very heroic, although the h didn't do much to stand out. With the exception of the few pages where the h’s ex came back, this book was not exciting or even a standout sweet romance. I really wouldn’t suggest this book.

In this book Kristen is a single mother with a son, her ex left her and hasn’t helped or paid any child support in five years. Kristen has been struggling but when she has an opportunity to do something she loves for good money she tells her prospective employer that she is engaged to get married. As the lies spiral out of control she has to produce this fiancé when her boss asks to meet him. She introduces her boss to the guitarist in the band. Sean goes along with it because he is interested in getting to know Kristen. However, this one moment becomes many moments and the fake feelings develop into real feelings with some steamy moments. Great story.
Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Loved this fake to real romance with all the feels. The easy to read pace and flow of the story with just the right amount of steam drew me in. Loved both Sean and Kristen as individuals and their chemistry was a nice slow burn that was believable and sweet and I was rooting for them. The ending was just perfect for this couple and put a smile on my face!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. An unexpected fake engagement turns real for Sean and Kristen as they fall for each other. Just when things are going good for both of them, Kristen's ex comes around and tries to ruin things. I'm glad Sean realizes his mistake and corrects it in a big way. The ex is full of empty threats and disappears. I like how does his proposal.
Faking it until it's no longer fake... This is the first book I've read by this author & I found it to be a good page turner. How the protagonists kept up the pretence of a committed relationship is beyond me but feelings for each other developed rapidly & they came to realise that their relationship was in fact serious. Loved it when the gorgeous hero composed a song declaring his love for his no longer fake fiancee. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Sean & Kristin had an entertaining read. Kristen doesn't know what she was thinking. She lied about being engaged at an interview for a job she desperately needs. She barely knows Sean Berne’s name when she sees him playing in the wedding band that night. So, as she approaches this man she barely knows, grabbing his hand like her life depends on it. It was an entertaining, fun read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
She told her potential employer that she was engaged because the business emphasizes being one big family. She never dreamt that she would have to produce her fiancé. They barely know each other and perhaps they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, but sometimes fate has a way of working out. Read this lovely story of a single mom, her son, a rockstar and a crazy ex and a surprise ending.

I hope you enjoy it please read this book It's beautifully written very enjoyable read.
Jessica is a single mom and, oops, lies to her new boss and says she has a fiance in order to get the job. When they both attend a local wedding he insists on meeting her fiance. I think this book was very good. It has romance and little of real life situation. These characters made me feel like I was right there in between these pages. I would recommend this book to my friend. I hope there will be a part well leaves off from this book. I'm going to read it over again. The author did a good job.

Kate Lovelace has written a charming Rockstar Romance. What starts out Fake quickly turns into a real romance. There are a few twists, some danger, but in the end love wins out. I think you will enjoy the ups and downs to the HEA.

This is an amazing book. The characters are wonderfully flawed and they way they interact is very realistic. The author throws curveballs and situations that real people face and have the characters struggle just as we do. The writing is very well done. There are some great spicy bits and a little plot curveball. Please give this book a chance.
