This time, Jace Taylor has gambled more than he can afford to lose.

When a loan shark shows up at his front door demanding he pay him fifty thousand dollars or else, Brothers Kincaid bassist Jace Taylor thinks his life can’t get any worse. That is, until his wife, Emmy Lou, leaves him. With his marriage on the line, he’s determined to win back his wife’s trust—before the love of his life is gone for good.

Former Rodeo Queen Emmy Lou Montgomery loves wide-open spaces, glittery tiaras, and horses, not a lying heartbreaker of a soon to-be-ex-husband who dares to look too damn good in his Wranglers. Determined not to repeat her old mistakes, she returns to her family farm to put herself first.

Only forgetting about Jace might not be so easy when he shows up and moves in, asking her to give him the summer to prove he can be the man she deserves. Emmy Lou does her best to avoid Jace, but when they’re stuck working on the rodeo together, soon their summer turns downright scorching as one spark has their marriage catching flames.

But just as Jace and Emmy Lou realize they’re ready to go all in on their second chance, secrets from Emmy Lou’s past slink out of the shadows. Secrets she’s still running from.

Secrets that will do whatever it takes to keep them apart. . .

I love a good second chance romance and this had all the small town feels I needed! Jace is in a bad place and puts his family in danger, so Emmy Lou is finally fed up and goes home to her family's farm with every intention of divorcing Jace. But Jace won't let her get away that easily and he chases her there and is determined to spend the summer with her and win her back. I loved how this took place on the farm where they fell in love and had so many horses involved! I was a bit annoyed that Emmy Lou was hiding an important trauma from her past to her own husband of ten years, but I'm really happy they were able to confide in one another and find their way back to trusting and loving one another. And it was great seeing the other band members a bit in this book! This is definitely one of my favorites of the series.

Second chances are my favorite, but I usually don’t care for them between a married or divorced couple. There's so much hurt and pain, and few writers have the talent to do them well. But in the first few chapters I found myself wanting nothing more than to see Jace and Emmy Lou find forgiveness and healing. While it may seem that Jace made a bigger mess of things than Emmy Lou, neither one was blameless. Their problems seem insurmountable, but it's amazing what can happen with a little listening, a little grace, and a lot of hard work.

Jace Taylor hasn’t had an easy life. He lost his mother as a child, leaving him with a good-for-nothing father to raise him. Thankfully he had the Kincaid family. They treated him like family and he became as close as a brother to both Luke and Seth Kincaid.

Despite this, Jace has always felt like second best, like someone in the background. A fixture. When he met Emmy Lou Montgomery, he finally found where he belonged. With Emmy Lou, he was home. He had a life-long partner, a sense of belonging, and everything he ever wanted. Until he destroyed it.

Oh my heart, y'all, I wasn’t sure I would survive this one! With a easy, laid-back style, Hunter has a way of infusing an overwhelming amount of heart into her characters and their story. We have no choice but to be swept up in the drama and emotion, rooting fiercely for the hard-won HEA. A devastating story of a depreciated love determined to survive and thrive again, this evocative, powerful, phenomenal read will make your heart happy sigh and restore your faith in second chances.

I always love a marriage in crisis and while I love the pining and fixing their marriage, the 3rd act break up is one I HATED. ugh.

Bring You Back (Nashville Star #4) is an emotional story of second chances, forgiveness, healing, secrets and true love. Jace is the bassist for the famous country band, Brothers Kincaid and Emmy Lou is a sweet and feisty southern girl who owns a horse farm and they’ve been married for ten years. Has their marriage been complete bliss? Of course not, and just like any other marriage, they’ve had their ups and downs. However, there have been more good times than bad, they were once crazy for each other and their stolen moments, tender kisses and beautiful and hot lovemaking is everything. And the one thing that has been a constant is their deep and passionate love for each other.

The bad times started three years ago when Jace made a terrible mistake that almost ruined their lives and almost destroyed their marriage (don’t worry he didn’t cheat). Although Jace made amends, there’s been hurt, pain and distance between them since then and they haven’t been able to move past that. Unfortunately, that mistake has reared its ugly head again. This is the last straw for Emily Lou, she decides to leave Jace and go to back her hometown in Georgia. And once again Jace has to right this wrong and he’s determined to bring Emmy Lou back. He screws up big time however, I love and appreciate that he fights so hard for their marriage. He truly loves Emmy Lou and he does everything in his power to win her back. But will she give him one last chance? And as it turns out, Jace isn’t the only one with past secrets that come to light.

Jace aptly describes Emmy Lou as a “sassy Georgia peach” and that’s definitely a personality trait that I’m fond of. Although she’s hurt, Jace is still her one and only. They definitely go through a lot and I’m glad that neither one of them completely give up on each other. Their chemistry is amazing and you can feel the love between them. Ava Hunter did a fantastic job with creating heart string tugging and moving scenes that are palpable and endearing.

Each book is the Nashville Star series really keeps getting better and better. Ava Hunter has a unique talent for writing relatable books with southern charm, lovable and realistic characters.

3,5 🌟 good

The story was good but not super special. Their marriage has been in shambles for a while and when trouble from the past comes knocking on their door everything implodes and the consequent explosion draw the further apart. But, it appears that is exactly what was needed to shake some sense into them. He works hard to gain her trust and rekindle their relationship. She deals with traumas from the past, grows a backbone and finds herself. Ps: detest her mom so much....
I don't normally like second chance romance, but this one was good enough.

This book is just so amazing. Jace and Emmy Lou’s relationship isn’t perfect, neither of them is perfect - but damn if they don’t fight for each other. Be it Mama Belle, Slayton, Emmy Lou’s brothers - they’re all in it together. Such a great story!!!

I don’t think this book was for me.
Don’t get me wrong I love how the hero redeemed himself and how he fought for heroine, but the energy her mother gave both of them made me so fucking hurt and angry. They were really working out and getting better with their relationship after all those misunderstandings and conflicts, but of course, some old ass bitch had to try to get between them. ☠️
Emmy Lou talks about how truth and honesty is so important to her, but all she does it keep things to herself and also, doesn’t share her secrets! Shocker.
I loved Jace, he was really good with his “groveling” I liked how he didn’t give up on their relationship and just made the whole book better. Honestly those brothers of Lou made me sooo curious and I definitely wanna see more of them.

"It's never too late to fight."

Dear Ava Hunter, thank you so much for yet another book hangover I'm not going to be able to get over in a while! My goodness! My heart is aching in the best way. This book broke my heart and pieced it back together so beautifully! This country star and his gem made my heart burst with love and hope in every page and I enjoyed every single moment. It had it all, the secrets, the groveling, the steam and a well deserving happy ending!

Well, I am completely obsessed with how Ava wrote this amazing marriage in trouble Romance. Two broken and imperfect people who worked their butts off to make it all right with each other and for each other. A husband who acknowledges his mistakes and wants to make it up to his wife and all the forgiveness and kindness of a wife who doesn't give up on the man she loves. Emmy Lou and Jace went through such journey that pulled my heartstrings and made me cry and swoon so hard! I think I highlighted half of the book and if I wouldn't have to be a responsible adult, I would've read it all in one sitting!

Emmy Lou, I think the first thing I loved about her was how strong she was, in every way. Even though my heart broke with how she dealt with things in some occasions, I understood her. I hated everything that happened to her and my heart hurt for her the entire time. The secrets she was keeping, the toxicity and manipulations of her mother (who I wanted to slap the entire time), her insecurities and fears, even her trust issues felt so real. I loved how Ava described Emmy's inner struggle and doubts with herself and especially with Jace, it was realistic and painful. She wanted to trust, she wanted to love freely and I loved the steps she allowed herself to take to finally free herself from everything that was weighting her down to go back to Jace.

My sweet Jace broke my heart time and time again. He was just so broken, so scattered by his mistakes and the consequences. I absolutely loved how he took responsibility of his actions and never once denied how much he hurt his entire family. His desperation to get Emmy back, to protect her and repair everything he broke was so heartbreaking but hopeful at the same time. I loved how patient he was and that even though Emmy's family didn't make it any easy, he showed up for them because they were important to Emmy. He was kind, patient, protective and even sacrificial, ready to lay down his own life to keep Emmy safe.

"I got you," Jace says, securing his hold on her. He kisses her brow and she lets out a soft sigh. "I got you for a thousand miles, Em, and then some more."

I swear these two were the most heartbreakingly beautiful couple. The progression of their journey hurt so good, because it read so naturally, so raw and emotional. It was rocky, difficult, full of vulnerability and open hearts willing to do what was needed in order to change. The emotional roller coaster was perfectly combined with the right amount of suspense, action and the hottest, heart-melting steam ever! It was all a bundle of feelings that kept me glued to my kindle the entire time. The perfect amount of everything I love in Ava's books.

Did I tell you I got all giddy seeing all the Kincaid clan again? Because aaaahhhh! I squealed hard. They're just the best, always ready to go in when one of them needs help. Loved seeing them living all their HEAs of their own and stepping in to help Emmy and Jace. Can we also talk about Emmy's brothers? Ava, please tell me there will be a story for all of them? Cowboys... hot, protective and loyal cowboys who also happen to be single? Give me all, please! (even if I have to endure Mama Belle's meddling again lol).

Keep all the books coming because I'm going to read the hell out of whatever Ava writes next! In the meantime, mark your calendars to get this awesome book. And if you haven't read any of Ava's books and you love emotional, steamy and Romance books with the right amount of suspense and delicious steam, this series is definitely for you!

I received this ARC from Ava Hunter in exchange for my honest review. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!

SPICE: 🔥🔥🔥

I love Luke & Sal and Lacey & Seth, but Jace & Emmy Lou's story may have taken the top spot in this series.

Jace Taylor and Emmy Lou Montgomery's marriage is a mess. They have not quite recovered from Emmy discovering Jace's gambling problem, and the distrust is creating a gap between them that they cannot seem to build a bridge over. When remnants of his gambling past come back to haunt them, Emmy leaves Jace to go home to her family in Georgia.

After a wake-up call from his friends and bandmates, Jace chases after her, determined to get her back. But the list of people he must grovel to is long: her parents, her overprotective brothers (and there are a lot of them), and most importantly Emmy Lou herself.

This is one of my favorite second chances with married couples stories. I love how Jace is all-in to getting Emmy back, including doing menial chores around her farm, taking the potshots from her brothers, and unconditionally supporting her and what she wants.

Emmy Lou stands out for me in this read, however. We get to go on this journey with her where she finds out who she is apart from her family and Jace and when she comes to terms with secrets from her past. I absolutely love that she finds her voice and her place and that everyone -- well, almost all -- supports her wholeheartedly.

Jace and Emmy have taken a backseat in previous books, but they've really shined in their own story. Their chemistry -- even when their marriage was in turmoil -- is really evident, and Ava Hunter does a great job of establishing that foundation and building on it as their story goes on. There is a physical and emotional connection between them that could never be undone, and even with the growing gap from distrust, we still really feel that through Hunter's details and storytelling. The payoff via spicy scenes is so worth the wait. Ava Hunter certainly knows how to build tension and create spicy climaxes that will have you clutching your pearls and reaching for a mint Julep like a Georgian Belle.

This book can be read as a standalone, even though characters from previous books make their appearance. You get enough context of who they are and glimpses of their stories, but I highly recommend going back. We also get a great introduction to the Montgomery Brothers, and I certainly hope that we get to see their HEAs, too.

** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Ava Hunter for providing an ARC. **

There were so many reasons to love this book that it's hard to decide where to start. But I think one of the things that stick out in my mind the most is that both Jace and Emmy Lou aren't perfect. They don't present themselves as being perfect and both of them acknowledge that they have made mistakes, as we all do. There was just something so powerful in that along with the way they both honestly did their best to fight for their relationship. The love between them was clearly very strong and it was so genuine that I was rooting for them pretty early on in the book. I loved both of these characters equally and found this to be a truly beautiful story.

But I'm not one that generally reads strictly romance. I like for there to be some action and/or suspense thrown in there. And this one had that in spades! Though I will say this would have been a book that would have kept me hooked if it had been strictly romance. That's how powerful the love between Emmy and Jace was and how hard I was rooting for them. I think the action and suspense just made me root for them harder. Perhaps it had me swooning even more as well. Because the way Jace was willing to do anything and everything to make sure Emmy was safe and that she stayed that way was incredible. I really felt how remorseful he was over the decisions he had made. There may have been a couple of times I teared up. Maybe. But I'll never admit it. And then there was Emmy and the way she dealt with and handled everything thrown at her. She is one strong woman and I loved her for it. I completely understood where she was coming from and her reasonings behind all the decisions she made and I backed her up every time.

There was a wide range of emotions that Ava Hunter had me feeling for sure. I will say that Emmy's mother made me absolutely livid on just about every page she appeared. Her mother straight-up sucked and that just made my heart break for Emmy even more. Because I have such an amazing relationship with my own mother, I couldn't imagine what I would go through if she acted toward me the way Emmy's mother acted toward her. This is the first novel I've read by Ava Hunter but I will be going back and reading the rest of the Nashville Star Series while hoping that all of Emmy's brothers are going to get books of their own. Because I'm a sucker for a cowboy and some steamy romance any day of the week.

“ I can’t be five fuckin’ miles away from you, let alone a lifetime. I love you Emmy Lou. I can’t let you go. When you walked away, my whole world meant nothin’. Not one damn thing without you. I’m beggin’ you to take me back. To give me one more chance. To love me again. Because I can’t go on- but if I ain’t got you. “

BRING YOU BACK by Ava Hunter is officially out in the world today! This is the fourth and final book in Ava’s Nashville Star series and tells the story of Jace and Emmy Lou. Perhaps the quietest of the crew, but no less important.

Y’all. I do not know how Ava keeps writing fictional men that are so swoon worthy, full of heart, fierce protectiveness and loyalty and will do literally ANYTHING to protect their women. Oh, and also VERY easy on the eyes 😍🔥🤠

Each book keeps getting better and better. After each book, I tell Ava “okay this one is my favourite.” Then I read this Bring You Back, and I’m pretty sure it’s my new top favourite. Which is pretty hard, because my love for these books is endless.

Bring You Back is the most emotional, gut wrenching and heartbreaking (yet also heartfelt and swoon worthy) of the 4 books in the Nashville Star series. I felt all the emotions. I was so angry along with Emmy Lou but yet heartbroken for her too. But then, my heart was Laos breaking over Jace too. It’s very clear he loves Emmy Lou with everything he has, he just got a little lost along the way. Same with Emmy Lou.

This book is all about both of them finding their way back to each other, over one summer in Georgia. Both Emmy Lou and Jace have things in their past that they need to tell each other, in order for them to heal and move forward. They both grow so much- both separately and together, and in the end, fight for each other and the love they have.

This book has the best found family- I LOVE Emmy Lou’s brothers and how they are fiercely protective of their sister. The Brothers Kincaid and their ladies are seriously the best. Like I want to hang out with them all in Nashville! They treat everyone like family, and literally drop everything to help each other in their time of need

ARC Review - Bring You Back by @authoravahunter

Bring You Back is the 4th full length novel in the Nashville Star Series by Ava Hunter and honestly, this one took me by surprise. Marriage in crisis is not a trope I typically reach for, but Ava absolutely nailed this one. We’ve gotten little glimpses into Jace & Emmy Lou’s relationship over the past 3 books, but we are finally getting to really dive into their story and it gets messy. The depth of Jace’s lies puts Emmy Lou in real danger and that’s the final straw for Emmy Lou. She leaves Jace, returning home to her parents ranch, asking him to please just let her go.

It doesn’t take long before Jace chases Emmy Lou and tries to win her back, convincing her to give him the summer. To give him six weeks to try to repair what he has broken. Reluctantly Emmy Lou agrees, but she keeps Jace at an arms length. But as the summer wears on and they spend more time together, Emmy Lou starts to realize she never stopped loving Jace, they just needed a reset. But Emmy Lou’s mother, who has always felt Jace wasn’t good enough for her daughter, is bound and determined to make their split permanent.

Emmy Lou’s mom, Mama Belle, enraged me while I was reading this book. I needed somebody-ANYBODY-to put her in her place and tell her to mind her own business. I honestly wanted Emmy Lou to just cut her out of her life. Aside from Mama Belle’s meddling, I loved the story in this book. Like I said marriage in crisis isn’t a fave trope of mine but I loved how Ava wrote this one. I loved how Emmy Lou didn’t just immediately take Jace back, even when he explained more about why he did what he did. They went through the work together to repair their marriage. Emmy Lou also had to process her own traumatic past, and I loved how Jace (and Emmy Lou’s brothers) were there for her.

We got lots of glimpses of our other Nashville Star couples, but truly Jace & Emmy Lou stole the show. I think this was Ava’s strongest book yet and I can’t wait to read more from her!

What an emotional story! Jace and Emmy Lou have been put to the test in this book! These two have been married for ten years now, but not everything is picture perfect.

They both messed up in their own ways and had trouble dealing with it as a couple. Both Jace and Emmy Lou need to work on themselves a bit before they can get back to each other. I loved watching them grow individually and as a couple throughout the story.
They both have past trauma to work through, and
must learn to let the other in and talk it out-but will they be able to do it, relive the pain in order to heal or will it be to late to save their marriage? Is the love the share enough?

The chemistry was never lacking between these two! Watching them reconnect and once again see all the reasons that made them fall in love in the first place, all the little things they know about each other that fell away when they ran into their issues was wonderful. They truly are such a great couple and what they both need in a partner.

I love how they fought for each other regardless of those who stood in their way
Relationships are not perfect, they take work, but can be so worth it! I think this book showed that beautifully!

I am sad that this series has come to an end, these character were just wonderful to get to know! I look forward to what this author has in store for us next!

Just me over here swooning like I always do after reading @authoravahunter ´s newest book Bring You Back! ⁣

This one dives into Jace and Emmy Lou’s marriage, which is on the downward spiral. This is such a beautiful, raw and real journey of a second chance when your marriage is failing. ⁣

Jace is the bassist for The Brothers Kincaid and Emmy Lou is the rodeo queen from her wealthy family’s farm in Georgia. These two met when they were young, each running from their own demons into each others arms; only now it’s been almost ten years and they are fighting constantly but not for each other. ⁣

I absolutely loved this. In a world where social media makes everyone’s relationships seem perfect, this shines a light on the hard truths and ups and downs of marriages and the fact that it takes work and fight and so much love to continue to keep a marriage going. ⁣

It also takes trust and communication and Ava hits on the importance of this while these two try to find their way back together in hopes that they don’t fail and end up divorced.⁣

We also get tidbits from the prior couples which I always love.⁣

Emmy Lou and Jace Taylor finally get there own story and boy was it a emotional roller coaster. We saw a little bit of what’s been going on with them in the last book. Everything for them has been falling apart because of secrets and lies.

Emmy Lou has had enough and leaves to go back to her hometown after 10 years of marriage.

She was a sassy Georgia peach with a fire in her big brown eyes that drove him crazy. Tight blue jeans. An angel smile.

Jace shows up to fight for his marriage but there are obstacles everywhere. He’s in for the fight of his life.

“Em. Em, my gem. I loved you the moment I saw you, you know that?”

“I got you for a thousand miles, Em, and then some.”

This story was raw and real.

I love this series and I really hope we get read about Emmy Lou’s brothers because I’m already in love with them.

Another book, another masterpiece by Ava. Bring You Back is the fourth book on the Nashville Stars Series and probably my favorite so far!

This book really made me have mixed emotions, such a roller coaster full of angst, heartbreaking and happy moments just made my heart break and mend way too many times.

I know i say this all the time but i always love a badass female character and Emmy Lou is no exception when it comes to that! Despise everything that happened to her (and her horrible mother!!!) she still remained strong and that’s just one of the things that i loved about her. When it comes to Jace, all i can say is that he has my whole heart. The way he wanted to get Emmy Lou back and the way he loved her ugh it just made my heart so warm!

Jace and Emmy Lou are just two broken people who try and make everything they can to be better for each other. A husband and a wife struggling through their relationship, a journey full of secrets, groveling and all the steam with a happy ending!

I am voluntarily leaving a review after receiving an ARC from Hidden Gems.

It was good. It took me a while to get into the book because of the dialect used in the book. I am not a country girl raised on a farm, so hearing/reading was new to me.

This is a second chance romance. Jace is trying to win back his wife after becoming addicted to gambling. He has stopped gambling and has paid off his debt. Emmy Lou has gone back to her hometown to lick her wounds and reconnect with herself. They find themselves working together on her family's rodeo and they reconnect. There are outside influences trying to keep them apart.

Emmy Lou and Jace

-Marriage in crisis

Marriage in crisis is one of my favorite tropes and this book is full of groveling. They had great chemistry, but I just couldn’t connect with the FMC, I know that Jace made a lot of mistakes, but I felt like at times she was too harsh with him, plus she never stood up to her mom, who was a whole demon.

Also, this is full on horse girl literature, which is not my vibe, so I couldn’t connect with the whole rodeo thing, plus the accents were a little too much.

Absolutely adored this one and it’s another great book in the series.
I loved Jace and Emmy Lou’s reconnecting with each other. Jace knows he’s done wrong and heads after Emmy Lou but they both hold secrets from their past that they haven’t shared with each other during their marriage.
I love the whole dynamics of this group centred around the Kincaid Brothers and the band. I’m also a lover of horses so I’m always thrilled when they are part of a storyline.
This is a romantic, suspenseful book which shows that a second chance with the love of your life can be so heartwarming. Brilliant book.

Ava Hunter has done it again with another fabulous book! This is the fourth book in the Nashville Star Series, and might i say, i think its my favourite one. Who am i kidding, ive LOVED them all, theyre all my favourite!!

Where do i even begin, my thoughts are so scattered with this one. I absolutely friggin loved it. Jace and Emmy Lou have been together ten years and it just shows that no relationship is ever perfect. The characters development in this book was utter perfection, Jace and Emmy need to work on themselves as well as their marriage. And oh my goodness, i adored when Emmy finally stood up to Mama Belle! I honestly think that was my favourite part of the book.

This story of second chances had my emotions all over the place as it unfolds with Emmy and Jace. She has had it with Jace gambling and the problems that comes with his addiction and has moved back to the family farm to put herself first. When Jace comes asking for the chance to show he can be the man she deserves, doe Emmy have the courage to take the leap of faith and will her secrets that comes out be another setback? This story kept me glued to the pages from start to finish! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

What a BOOK! This series is one of my absolute favourites and this one did not disappoint!

Having seen Jace and Emmy Lou pop up in the earlier books, I was so excited to get to this one and it was AMAZING. The marriage in crisis / second chance tropes were done so beautifully and I fell in love with their story. Both of them had so much in their past to deal with, but watching them start to open up more and trust each other again was just beautiful. This book made me so emotional and I loved every second of it.

I can’t recommend this series enough and can’t wait to see what Ava writes next!

I’ve been anticipating Jace and Emmy Lou’s book since the start of the series. They’re the married couple in the background of each previous character’s story. Which can only mean one thing - a marriage in trouble story’s comin’! And anyone that’s read my reviews knows that marriage in trouble stories are like catnip for me.

You pick up on bits and pieces throughout the series - you know their marriage is most likely strained, you know that Jace has been gambling and possibly mixed up with some unsavoury folks.

They’ve been married 10 years and have been keeping deep and painful secrets about their past from each other. Trust, lies, secrets and past trauma all serve to alienate these two from each other. You think Jace needs to fix things and Lordy he does (I’m not from the South but I’ve been thinking in a Southern accent since I finished this book) but Emmy Lou is not as innocent. They are both as stubborn as a mule and with interfering parties giving unsolicited advice, it’s hard for them to see a way out.

I loved that Jace ran after Emmy Lou, admitted his wrong doings and sought to win her over again. But with too many lies in between them, will they find their way back to each other?

Great writing! Love the South and when stories are based there. Loved reading about small town living and barrel racing. Loved reading about the previous characters and I love that I can see where @authoravahunter is going to take the next series and who will feature ☺️

2.75 Ok. I think I liked this book. The premise was on point for me, however the cringy southern accents of the main characters really took me out of the story. 🤷‍♀️ At about the 70% mark I was close to DNFing but forced myself to finish it.

Title: Bring You Back (Nashville Star Series Book 4)
Author: Ava Hunter
Hero/Heroine: Jace & Emmy Lou
Tropes: Marriage in Crisis/Second Chance Romance

TW/CW: Addiction, attempted sexual assault, mentions of divorce

THE GOOD 😀

Well. Ava Hunter definitely saved the best couple til last. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve adored all of the other characters, but Jace and Emmy Lou were just something else. There’s was a story so heartbreaking at times, but you’re still filled with hope that they’ll find their way back to each other.
After being confronted in her own home by a loan shark, Emmy Lou packs up and leaves Jace, heading for her hometown in Georgia. Of course he follows her, determined to make things right with her and their marriage.
I loved Emmy Lou in the previous books; she was such a strong character and always there for her friends. In this book she hit, like, the next level of incredible. Sassy and strong willed, you couldn’t help but love her as she tried to find her way back to the woman she used to be before her marriage hit the skids. Being back in her hometown for Emmy Lou was a test of her patience (*cough* Mama Belle *cough*) and her resolve. After an attack that led to her leaving Georgia for Nashville, Emmy Lou realised that she needed to confront the past in order to move on, which wasn’t always easy for her. I loved seeing her grow as a character and confront those that had hurt her. Absolute queen.
And Jace… proof that the strong, silent type is where it’s at. During the first part of the book I wanted to give him a swift backhand and tell him to sort his shit out, however as the book progressed, he proved time and time again that Emmy Lou was the most important person in his life. And I swooned. Hard.
I’m not usually a fan of the marriage in crisis trope, but this one was written so well and with so much heart, it managed to change my mind. A book about two strong and resilient people desperate to find their way back to each other? It’s like cat nip for romance fans everywhere.

THE BAD ☹️

Mama Belle. I’d quite like to pick her and her beehive hairstyle up and javelin throw her into the nearest bin.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this to read. This is my honest review.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Bloody amazing
STEAM LEVEL: 🔥🔥

I love the Nashville Star series so I was excited to read Jace and Emmy Lou’s story as they’re the two characters that I know least. I was initially a bit nervous of the ‘marriage in trouble’ trope, as it didn’t sound as uplifting as my usual romance reads, but I needn’t have worried - it was beautiful! So what’s it about?

When a mistake from Jace’s past catches up with him and threatens his wife Emmy Lou and their friend Sal, Emmy leaves Jace and flees home to her parents’ farm in Georgia. Determined to win Emmy Lou back, Jace shows up on her doorstep and persuades her to give him the summer to win her back. But Jace and Emmy are both harbouring secrets and someone is intent on keeping them apart …

Bring You Back is a cute, angsty, emotional rollercoaster of a book that stole my heart!

Ava writes the best, relatable characters. I adored Jace and Emmy Lou and I was rooting for them every step of the way. They’re both haunted by secrets in their past that are inadvertently affecting their relationship. Both characters undergo huge character arcs as the story progresses and it gave me butterflies watching them fall in love all over again.

Jace made some serious mistakes and kept important information from Em in what he thought was her best interests, but his heart was always in the right place and I loved his quiet resolve and how focussed he was to win Emmy over. Emmy Lou was cute, brave, and sassy, and an eternal ray of sunshine. Although it annoyed me that she allowed her awful mother to influence her relationship with Jace, I understood that it stemmed from her strict upbringing. Mama Belle was the worst and I’d be scared to go up against her too!

Emmy Lou’s brothers were one of my highlights, so I’m really hoping that they’ll get a spin off series. Please Ava?

I really enjoyed the rodeo aspects of the book, and after googling ‘barrel racing’ at 3am, going to a rodeo is now on my bucket list!

Bring You Back is a beautiful love story about second chances, communication and the enduring strength of true love.

Y’all! Jace and Emmy Lou really just go through it. I love how real their story is. Past trauma has both of them struggling to communicate in their marriage and this ultimately pulls them apart. After running back to her roots in Wildheart, Georgia.. Emmy Lou has to decide if her marriage is worth fighting for..while Jace decides it’s time to fight for his girl.

I knew right from the start, Emmy Lou was my kind of girl! She is a feisty, sweet as sugar, southern girl. She’s the Rodeo Queen with a wild side and ready to let her true self free. I love her relationship with her brothers and her dad but her mama…. 🙅🏼‍♀️

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖 𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙. 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙠𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙨, 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙗𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙, 𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢.

Even though Jace has his faults, he’s still a sweet talking man with a pure heart. He’s also a hunky cowboy that knows how to work the farm and sing. 🫠

This marriage-in-crisis southern romance gives all the second chance, groveling, angst, meddling family, reconciliation, steam and a little suspense. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
