The women you used, the ones you destroyed, we are still here, and there are many of us. And now, we’re coming for you
The most unexpected part of this book was how much it kept me hooked. How much it reached out to me. How much I loved it. There was also another unexpected thing at the end which I am going to talk about later.
Trigger warning: Sexual assaults
The Plot: Surprises! Surprises at every corner! This review is already starting to be vain with my talking’s of it unexpected tints. But tough times call for tough measure. The book starts with two police officers witnessing the death of a young woman along with the possible ‘murderer’. Except there is no evidence against him. Later in the novel, we have a possible witness for the dead woman- Samantha with alleged proof, few betrayals, trust, confusion, sexual assaults (this is a huge part of the story line which was really hard to rea. I felt like crying.), unity, feminism, women helping each other (I loved that part), more confusion and finally the ending. The ending was just so beautiful and I do hope he got what he deserved. It was so unexpected, so lovely, so thrilling and probably my favorite part of the whole book. Standing up for yourself is hard and seeing so many women doing it, broke my heart. In a good way.
The Writing: I enjoyed every line of the book. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. The writing felt personal which touched my heart. One of the few books that kept me hooked from the very first line.
Characters:
Eva Rae Thomas:- This is the only character we get from first person’s point of view which I adored every letter of. Undoubtedly, this is one of my favorite characters in this book. She is brave, fearless and a daring character. She helps in solving the mystery we are hit with in the book and Man! Is she a detective. Her logics are just classic. She should be given an award for it.
Kimmie:- She is honestly so strong. What she had to withstand- alone is something that no women, no person should ever experience. Hands down she is a great character. A wonderful woman. And a caring mother.
Richard Wanton:- The most disgusting -should be executed- piece of waste I have ever seen. He made me so sick and the thought that many had to go through the same experience as the women he tortured makes me sicker. He is a vile creature who ruined the lives of many women and death is a mere mercy for him!
Rachel:- Rachel is first introduced when she starts having a panic attack. Yup! A great way to introduce a character but the action that triggers this reaction is what hurt me the most. She is a victim too! Her action at the end of the book is strong and the right thing to do. I loved her character development.
Crystal:- IN THIS WORLD, WOMEN STAND UP FOR OTHER WOMEN! NOT TRY TO BRING THEM DOWN! NOT SILENCE THEM! NOT ERADICATE THEIR RIGHTS! And Miss Crystal right here is a worst example for a woman.
Carol:- She has my respect. Her actions are just so magnificent. In the beginning I thought she was just a woman who was ‘mildly concerned’ that her husband was having an affair. Boy was I wrong! She is an extraordinary person to have born on this earth.
My thoughts:- Concluding, this definitely is one of the best mystery/thriller novels I have ever read. This a must-read book. No doubt there.
This kindle e-book novel is from my Kindle Unlimited account book 9 of 16
Eva Rae Thomas is involved in the investigation of a possible murder. She takes it on to protect a witness and son. They arrive at the court house and the truth comes out.
I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of romantic family and friends relationships adventure mystery novels 👍🔰. 2024
3.5 stars This was a well put together crime thriller that covers the sexual harassment and sexual assault in the workplace. The heroine, Eva Rae, was at the right place at the right time enough to save the day and catch the bad guy, but not before many women were victimized.
This is the ninth book in the Eva Rae Thomas mystery series by Willow Rose.
The books by Willow Rose are always very complex. And this book is no different. This story is inspired by Willow Rose’s own life experience and that makes the story all the more compelling and real.
Eva Rae is called in to help with a cases of a gal who was pushed off the balcony of a news director’s room and falls to her death. She is brought there under suspicious circumstances and when she discovers that she is there to interview her ex-husband’s wife, the one he left her for, she high tails it back to her hometown. Kimmie was in the room when the girl was pushed off the balcony and Eva Rae is the only person she will talk to.
There is always a parallel story running alongside the main story and I try and figure out how it applies to the now timeline and am always surprised by what Willow Rose manages to pull out of her hat and shock us every time.
This secondary story features a news reporter who is just an intern trying to make her big break into journalism. However, there is a member of the management team who has his eye on this intern and forces her into a sick relationship of secret meetings in the bathroom and invitations to parties where suspiciously no one else shows up for. This management team member is the same news director whom Eva Rae is investigating in the current timeline.
This book has a lot of threads and things going on that could lead you down a multitude of rabbit holes. But that is what Willow Rose does so well. Her plotting is excellent.
Such a good story and a great storyteller. Very impressed with this author’s work. I have enjoyed each story she has purposefully crafted to perfection.
If you love a mystery, definitely check this one out. Great new must read book great series too!
I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title. Opinions are completely my own.
If I were to rate this book "Such a Good Girl" by Willow Rose, I would rate it 5 stars. I would rate it at 5 stars not because I liked it, but because it is a very well written book, if you like that type of story. I found that I was impatient with the character Samantha, because she seemed to believe she was to blame for all of this horror that was visited upon her and others. I hate that things and people like the ones in this book exist in the real world! Willow Rose said that part of this book mirrors her actual experience in earlier years, and I have to say that I hope the character that has gotten away with these actions is brought to justice as well as the others. Just losing their jobs is not good enough!! I hope that England has a longer Statute of Limitations than the United States, even though these dirt bags were/are still pulling this crap up until they get caught, so maybe all is not lost! I would think that maybe a nice big civil suit should be considered, if not for the individuals, then for the charities that deal with this. I have given an honest review of this book in order to be able to read an advance copy of this book. I always send my reviews through Amazon, so I'm not sure how to send a copy of this review to where it needs to go.
Engaging from the first chapter, this is a fast paced story filled with a true to life storyline following the “me too” movement. Lots of angst and action, Willow Rose knows how to spin a tale that will keep the reader up way past their bedtime! Thank you NetGalley, Buoy Media and the author for this eARC in exchange for my honest review. Available now.
I feel bad for only 2 stars because the story was personal for the author... but wow was this book difficult to follow. So much jumping around between timelines, 1st and 3rd person... not to mention the utter silliness of Eva Rae at this point. She is like a wild animal on a rampage of bad ideas- making her unbelievable and unrelateable as a character, let alone a former FBI profiler.
I trudged through the last 4 books of this series, hoping they would improve- that eva wouldn't be so dumb, eat so much, and make her relationship with her childhood sweetheart work... but I'm sorely disappointed in her and her lack of depth. This story deals with heavy and very real topics, and all the while Eva Rae Thomas is stuffing her face with gas station food, coffee and sodas with flaring nostrils and lamenting on how she's left all her children at home while she blows through money for her own self glory and gets pissy when anyone calls her out for her selfish and reckless actions.
WOW! This was a fast-paced, addictive novel that pulled me ALL the way in, immediately. And, once I started reading this story, the desperate need for sleep is the only thing that made me put my Kindle down! The plot line was fresh, original and exciting and definitely kept the twists, turns and surprises coming. The characters were complex, completely polarizing and full of depth. And, not only was this a very well-written book overall, but the suspense builds at just the right pace as the mesmerizing story unfolds.
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
Number nine in the Eva Rae Thomas series from Willow Rose. These are great murder mystery books that i usually read in a day. This time ex FBI profiler Eva Rae is asked back to interview a witness, a girl has fallen to her death from the penthouse balcony of an apartment block in Washington D. C. and the witness will only speak to Eva Rae. Nothing is as it seems and the plot is full of unexpected twists and turns. I have to admit after reading all nine novels Eva Rae is beginning to annoy me, her character is constantly making bad personal decisions but that hasn’t stopped me enjoying the books!
This fast-paced book was well written and moved along at a good pace. I was not crazy about how the character, Sam, took the burden of what happened to her as all her own fault. She seemed a bit ignorant in the ways of the world, put herself in the position of being a victim, and then played the martyr. The book had a little twist at the end which made it interesting.
I received a digital ARC for this book for an honest review.
I am reluctant to share my opinion on this book after learning it is inspired by true events in the author’s life. It was difficult to convince myself to finish. The writing seemed as though it was dumbed down for a teen or very young adult reader. The interactions between characters were cringey. While it is so brave for the author to heal through telling her story….I wish I hadn’t wasted my time on this.
Ok this is not a well written crime fiction about sexual abuse and powerful men; bland dialogue, ridiculous coincidences that move the plot along and “twists” you could see coming a mile away. That being said, the author’s footnote about this being a deeply personal story make me feel a little bad about the rating. Not enough to change it.
I don't think I have it in me, or if the alphabets, or words do to pen down what this book meant to me. Like, damn! Fast paced? Check. Necessary cliffhangers? Check. Rushing the adrenaline in? Check. Holding you on the tip of your seat until your family realises something has gotten in to you but you are the only one who knows it's a frissom that went down your frame? Check. Everything that a thriller needs to have? Check. Above all, if there is something I wish to embrace Willow for, then I guess it has to be for the truth.
The women you used, the ones you destroyed, we are still here, and there are many of us. And now, we're coming for you.
Washington and the FBI stare at a gruesome succumbing of a 20-year-old intern and all eyes point to Richard Wanton, a high-profile director. Except, the FBI has nothing in hand to support except one star witness. Problem is, she'll only talk to ex-FBI Eva Rae Thomas and Eva would do anything than talk with her. Why? Because she has always wanted her dead. The case is supposed to be easy. A simple push down with two cruising gendarmerie watching that unfold must cut the chase too low and finish it all. But there are may loose ends that needs tying. Except Eva taking that up only opens the gates for the run to collide with her. Such brilliance in Willow's writing. Taking in heart the need to develop the suspense, and carrying it off well is what I loved about this book. Above all, the characters, wow. Just wow. You could spill their psychologies in what, like a whiff. The best thing about this whole thing was, as I said before, the bitter truths. In addition to taking in about the distinction in criminology that money holds, she also talks about this problem prevalent in the society. The issue with people choosing their careers over their loved ones. Yes, I believe it is important for us to be for our loved ones, but not all jobs make that easy, do they? This need not, however, necessarily mean that those loved ones aren't watching out for us. They may not be there for us, or know how well we are getting ahead in life, but they always have this guilt biting inside out of not being there for their loved ones when they really needed them, and would give their best to loving them whenever they can. Overall, this one's a stunning, nail-biting, thrilling, and page turning read that's worth more than a shot! Thanks to Netgalley for this splendiferous book!!!
Former FBI profiler and single mother Eva Rae Thomas repeatedly has to choose between bringing criminals to justice and attending to her family’s needs, especially hard now, with a four-month-old daughter. This time, a young girl plunges to her death from a high-rise balcony; the man that police saw on the balcony, a wealthy, well-connected man, Richard Wanton, says she jumped. A witness in an adjacent room contacts the FBI to say the girl was pushed, so Richard is charged with murder, but the police have a hard time breaking his story. Even though Richard has a history of women accusing him of sexual harassment and even rape, he has always gotten off scot-free, by using his connections and intimidating the victims.
The FBI’s witness happens to be Kimmie, the woman who broke up Eva Rae’s marriage years ago, but she only trusts Eva Rae to tell her story. Eva Rae has strong misgivings about getting involved, but her daughter is still good friends with Kimmie’s son and pressures her to take the case. Kimmie and her son are placed in a safe house for protection before the trail begins, but it is compromised, with the agents being killed, and Kimmie and her son barely escaping. Eva Rae sees inconsistencies and decides to take personal responsibility to safeguard them from Richard’s goons who are out to kill them.
This is another great twisting, turning plot by Ms. Rose. It kept me riveted to the story, right through the trademark final surprise that I couldn’t see coming. The fact that this story is based on her own Me-Too experience makes me appreciate her courage to stand up to those who harassed her. I sincerely pray that those involved are eventually made to pay dearly for their crimes. I received an ARC – this review is my honest opinion - I bought a copy to support this great author. I am eager to read more of her work.
I've read every book in this series to date and this one by far grabbed me the most! Taken from the author's horrific personal experience, we are caught up with the first page and never let go until the surprise end. When a young woman is seen falling to her death from the high rise balcony of a very wealthy, influential man, Richard Wanton by two police officers and there is a witness in the room as well, things start to percolate. Eva Rae, former FBI profiler is called to the FBI by her friend, Isabella because the witness will only speak to Eva Rae. When Eva Rae finds out who the witness is, she wants to walk away. She doesn't want anything to do with this witness, Kimmie, since she was instrumental in breaking up Eva Rae's family causing her divorce. But at the insistence of Eva's daughter to help because Kimmie's son is her friend and the rich mogul Richard, although charged with murder, the police are having a hard time disproving his story and finding enough evidence to make him the killer. With Kimmie and her son on the run because someone is trying to keep her from testifying, Eva Rae decides it is her duty to get involved and so we are taken through twists, turns, and danger to put away one of the worst kind of predators and abusers there is. I couldn't put this book down until the end and then I had to sit for a while and catch my breath! I highly recommend this well written series! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
I received this book through "NetGalley's" Read Now Program.
This story will get your attention right from the beginning. It starts with a women falling from a balcony which happens to be witnessed by the police. They immediately go to the apartment where the victim died. The owner of the apartment was arrested and a second individual was brought in for questioning by the FBI. This individual told them that she would only talk to Eva Thomas. Eva is requested to come to Washington, D.C. but she is not given any information. Once she arrives and discovers who the person that wanted to talk to her, she got up and left. The two had a prior history between them. Eventually Eva talked to the witness and then left to return home. Later, Eva discovers that Kimmie, the witness, has disappeared. Eva winds up going to find her and when she does, discovers that someone was trying to kill her. Eva is too late and Kimmie is shot and rushed to the hospital.
Eva is told that Kimmie had died while she was in surgery. Eva felt bad because she allowed it to happen and carried the guilt. As time went by, Eva learned that Kimmie's son had been seen in a social media sight. AS Eva tried to get information from the FBI she was stonewalled and could get no answers. Eva pursued trying to identify the location where the son had been seen. After finding the location, she went and made a surprising discovery,
To discover what Eva found, how the trial related to the woman falling and other interesting facts, then you need to read this book. You won't be disappointed.
This is a gripping true-to-life story. Willow will hook you in the beginning, reel you in, and not let you go until the end. Eva Rae is an ex-profiler with the FBI. She is called to come in and help with a case. A witness to a murder won't take to anybody but her. When she arrives she finds out the witness is the woman who took Eva's husband away from her. She refuses to help and goes home. Her daughter pleads with her to take the case as Kimmie's son is a friend of hers. She decides to do it for her daughter. A woman had fallen over a balcony at the penthouse of Richard Wanton. The police have been after him for a long time as he has raped and abused women for years. He has always managed to be let go because of no proof. Their word against his. But this time there are eyewitnesses. And Kimie has agreed to testify. Kimmie and her son are put in a safe house with guards. But they are found. Eva has also found them and arrives just in time. Eva must keep them alive for the next two days as the case goes to court in three days. You will be kept on the edge of your seat. Get a copy and ride along to find out what they have had to go through. And of course, the verdict. The plot is well thought out and the story is well written. You don't want to miss this. I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the author and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.
Eva Rae Thomas is an ex profiler for the FBI and a young girl an intern has just gone over the top of a pent-house suite which is owned by media mogul Richard Wanton and is witnessed by 2 police officers just about to take a break, was the girl pushed or did she jump? as the officer looked up she also saw a figure of a man. The story goes back and forth to explain how this young girl gets invited to the penthouse but was she invited by Wanton? there is also another woman there did she see what went on? if she did she is not talking especially to the FBI she will only talk to Eva Rae Thomas. Eva Rae does go to see her if only to get to the truth but when she sees who it is she does not want to talk to her as she was the one that had an affair with her now ex-husband. Eva Rae does do something she never thought possible and that was keeping the woman safe and her son, against some killers that do not want her to attend court against Richard Wanton, was that he who sent them he says not. This story from Willow Rose is a personal story made into a novel, the media is ruthless it's dog eat dog but it's how one survives is the key. The only problem I did find was that Eva Rae has a small baby is a mother with older children and divorced and always seems to get time and sitters so she can just down tools and go, which is a bit hard to swallow.
Wow! This book grabs a reader and doesn't let you stop reading until the last page. Eva Rae Thomas, ex FBI profiler, and recently single mom, gets a call from her FBI friend about a witness to a murder that won't speak to anyone but her. It isn't until she gets to the FBI offices in DC that Eva Rae finds out the identity of the witness. A woman that caused her a lot of pain in the past, and quite frankly Eva Rae couldn't care less if she's in trouble. She is tempted to just walk away, but something just doesn't add up, and her determination to get to the truth just might get her killed. Of course, all of the characters in this book are well written and compelling, but I will admit to playing favorites. I love Eva Rae Thomas, she's tenacious when facts aren't adding up quite right, relentless when she suspects there is more to her witness' story, and single-minded in her pursuit of the truth. The suspense begins immediately and the twists in the plot are dizzying. I think this is one of this author's best books with a subject matter that can have a profound emotional impact on some readers. This is definitely a must read.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
interesting with lots of twists :) (note: slight spoilers) TW: SA Well, this was the first Willow Rose book I read, and at first, didn't know how to feel about it. However, I kept reading and this book kept me on the edge of my seat and shocked me at the end! This was amazing- I loved when they all came together to take down Richard and told their stories. I believe that in the work industry, events in the book do happen, even the author herself saying that she had gone through it before. Samantha's heartbreaking backstory made me reflect on society nowadays and how money and power can really make people greedy and take control of those that are not as advantaged. I really loved how the author tried to keep the "descriptions" minimal and blacked out some of them to focus on the main plot line. She's really an author to remember. So...yea. There's not much to say about the bad stuff, except that I didn't really understand one of the parts where Kimmy died and stuff. (Go read to find out :) ) and some details that the author could have added in. Overall, not the best but definitely exceeded my expectations! A recommended read if you're into crime and mystery :)
Eva Rae Thomas, a former FBI profiler, is asked by her former boss to assist in a case where the only witness insists she won’t talk to anyone but Eva. The witness ends up being Kimmie, the woman who broke up Eva’s marriage, and Eva wants nothing to do with her. Her daughter is friends with Kimmie’s son, though, and she begs her mother to help them. So begins Eva’s search for the truth. Drama, suspense, twists and turns, secrets, lies, danger. Men in powerful positions thinking they can get away with anything and not caring who they hurt along the way. Will Eva and Kimmie manage to stay alive long enough to bring that truth to court? A gripping story.
Eva's dad and her former mother-in-law are interesting characters.
As much as I liked the story, I honestly don’t think any judge would allow an interruption in the courtroom. I would think the judge would call for a break and take the lawyers into the judge’s chambers to find out exactly what was going on. I was given a free ebook by NetGalley. The opinions stated are my own.
I received this as an ARC in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, Buoy Mediathe and Willow Rose for allowing me to read it in advance. Opinions are completely of my own.
I love this series very much. Definitely it was fast-paced book and well written. The storyline moved along at a excellent pace. The plot line was original and exciting. It's quite addictive that drew me entire attention from the beginning and pulled me all the way in till the very end. I would say this book is unputdownable and compelling read. A lot of twists and turns kept me guessing and made me shock of unpredictable surprises. I didn't foresee what's coming. Moreover, the characters are well developed and complex that help to build the suspense at right pace. Truly, I was absorbed and mesmerized in the story entirely. Absolutely it's the one of the best mystery book I've ever read. It's a must-read in this year and you may fall in love in mystery book even if you were not a fan of mystery novel. It deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Highly recommend.
Four stars! This is another page turner in the Eva Rae Thomas series by Willow Rose! There are many twists and turn with a surprise at the end.
The book does have triggers as it describes scenes of rape and intimidation.
The story is one that happens way too often with women being preyed on by men in authority. The author uses her personal experiences to weave the stories of Samantha, Kimmie, Rachel, and others who have been sexually assaulted by Wanton the CEO and others in a position of power in a TV news station.
When Samantha is seen falling off a high ruse by the local police, Wanton is arrested for murder.
Eva Rae is contacted by a former coworker at the FBI to interview a witness that will only talk to her. This leads to her facing someone from her past that she doesn’t want to deal with, being on the run with the witness, and being hunted by hit men. All she wants is the truth.
Kudos to Willow Rose for using her personal experience to weave a story that needs to be told.
Thank you #NetGalley and #bouymedia for the opportunity to review.
This series is always full of action and angst. This book was no exception. The protagonist is torn between her vocational aspirations and her familial obligations. For the most part I like the main character but at times I can find her annoying, just like with most people in our lives. Her personality is well developed and the storyline is interesting. The mystery kept me guessing with a totally unexpected outcome. It was easy to get lost in the story which to me is the sign of a great book.
Eva Rae has been pulled in to FBI Headquaters to interrogate Kimmie, the woman that broke up her marriage, at the request of that woman. She thought she was done until her daughter asks her to look for her friend, Kimmies son. What follows is Eva Rae finding the duo in danger and protecting them so Kimmie can testify in the trial of a powerful man.
I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.
Such A Good Girl is another Willow Rose pulse-pounding thriller — Eva Ray protecting her nemesis!
A long list of desperate people have relied on Eva Rae to save their bacon … but this is her most unexpected client: Kimmie, the “other woman” who broke up Eva’s marriage, desperately needs someone to keep her alive till she can testify in a high-profile murder trial. Chad eventually dumped Kimmie and went back home, so neither woman is fond of the other. But Kimmie knows Eva’s the best, most dogged detective around, one who can face the toughest baddies. Hardly a minute passes before they’re forced to go on the run when killers attacked — and more attacks follow fast, frequently, and increasingly violently. The grudge between the two women and the constant fight-or-flight ratchet up the suspense, and it’s hard to put the book down. Classic Willow Rose — I loved it, as I’ve loved all her writing.
This highly recommended novel by the Queen of Scream, Willow Rose, reflects the real-life #Me Too events, that caused producer Harvey Weinstein's ultimate downfall. Such a Good Girl builds a fascinatingly believable variation on this theme, as young women are duped, raped, or seduced by promises made by a vastly wealthy, powerful Weinstein-like character. Those who demur or try to tell all, are forced to keep quiet and supposedly, in one case - that of the eponymous 'good girl' - murdered. FBI profiler Eva Rae Thomas becomes embroiled in her most dangerous and distasteful case to date, when called upon to interview (and later save), her personal Nemesis and main States' Witness, Kimmie and her son Timmy, as all three are stalked, targeted and shot at. A salutary tale indeed and it's #9 of Willow Rose's great Eva Rae Thomas novels which are, like the previous eight, absolutely unputdownable!
This story, based on real-life experiences, is about the dark reality of sexual abuse that exists in corporate world and no matter how many times we read such stories before, it never gets comfortable. The issue needs solution and possible way to give it the attention that is due is by talking about it, presenting the narratives, showing the victims that they are not to blame themselves and to work with system, supporters, confidants to bring down the perpetrators.
I admire the courage and gumption of Willow Rose to take this topic and present it as a fast-paced, addictive and page-turner fiction with complex characters, unexpected twists and turns. I read this book within a day. I couldn't stop myself. I love the fact that the writing is gripping, chapters are small and pace is swift.
Kudos to the writer and whole team for bring this book forward. Definitely recommend it to all readers who enjoy this genre!
Although this is the 9th book in the Eva Rae Thomas series, it is the first one I've read. Following the death of a young woman who appears to have been thrown from the top of a building, the only witness says she will only talk to profiler Eva Rae. The man accused of killing the young woman is a powerful media tycoon who has been abusing his power to manipulate women for decades. Although Eva Rae and the witness have bad blood between them, Eva Rae eventually ends up helping her --after the woman is targeted by a professional killer, hired to keep her from testifying. I liked the characters and I enjoyed the story, it was a quick and easy read. I had a few issues with it, though: there were times I felt like the story was too "vague" or jumped past things rather than fleshing them out, information was presented but not followed up on, and other times things were repeated unnecessarily. Thank you to NetGalley and Buoy Media for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Eva Rae Thomas is a former FBI profiler who is called back to DC by her former supervisor to help with a high profile case. The person she has to interview is none other than the woman with whom her ex-husband cheated on her before she quit and moved back to Florida. She really has no desire to help this person.
I'll just stop right here and say that I chose 4 of Willow Rose's books to review, never having heard of this author before, but always a fan of a good law enforcement story. Wow! I was hooked immediately. I then discovered that Ms. Rose is a prolific writer and proceeded to order all her books from 3 of her series so I could read the WHOLE story. I had a reading marathon. I am hooked and can't wait to read more. Highly recommend anything by this author!
I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Reading this particular Willow Rose book has a swirl of emotion ”pinching at my stomach”. The timing of its release, with relevance to “The Me-Too Movement”, is impeccable. Would be perfect read for a ladies book club.
The overall story is fast paced and engaging. It promotes thoughtful conversation among women and a great teaching tool for talking to my daughter, who is in her young adult years, about abuse of power, perversions, and the choices we make.
In typical Willow Rose fashion, you think you know how it’s going to end, and then BAM…she got me again! Never saw that twist coming!!!
At the completion of the story, the author shares a personal piece of information about her own life. Her vulnerability with her readers is so touching. I just want to reach out and hug her! I’m so grateful that Willow Rose took a minute to shine light on this topic. Very well written.
