He was born in 1962 in Tokyo, and graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Musashi Senior High School and Waseda University School of Economics & Political Science. The penname "Tadashi Agi" is shared with his sister. Under the name Yuma Ando, he received the 2003 Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen for writing Kunimitsu no Matsuri.

There are two stories in one volume, Kindaichi and Miyuki accidentally joined the joint boost camp for their school Go (chess) club and the Go club of another school. All of a sudden, a student was murdered in a cold-blooded way but everyone had an alibi, who is the killer and why would they do this?
I like the sense of humor in the story (before the murder took place), the explanation for the murder mystery and how the murderer arranged their alibi is pretty cool too.
In the second story, the students in Kindaicih’s school are facilitating a school festival, maid café is on the way! However, a male student is killed dressing in a maid uniform, who had done this and what is their motive?
The trick for the alibi is just so-and-so but I like that the issue of cyber bullying and nude photos (taken unwillingly) is addressed in the story. 4 stars.
