Kick back in a luxurious Victorian house for a few days. Hand out Halloween candy and score a payday.
I wasn’t counting on the home invasion.
Everything was going to plan until my last group of trick or treaters were three tall, stacked men wearing masks that barge in and tie me to a chair after a nearby robbery goes wrong.
Now, I’m a smart girl who knows how to pivot when I need to. We have to do something to pass the time until the cops clear out, right? So why not get me my own little holiday treat or three?
I mean, who hasn’t had the fantasy of being tied up by masked men and being forced to…wait, is it forced if you beg for it?
I’ll take the treats they offer and enjoy every minute of it, but this is Halloween so they shouldn’t be surprised when there’s some tricks that go hand and hand with it.
After all…’tis the season!
Trick My Treats is an 18+ detailed on page steamy reverse harem novella where the main female character enjoys the pleasure of all three men and doesn’t apologize for it. It ends with a Happy For Now…at least for her.
Reese Rivers is a RH romance author who lives in Alberta, Canada. She is addicted to coffee, inappropriate memes, dark humor and happy ever afters. Her happiest place on earth is at her camper in the forest where like Snow White, she attracts all the critters - mosquitoes instead of birds and skunks instead of bunnies. She would live there full time if not for the Canadian deepfreeze that is winter. Her latest RH novel, Burn Butterfly Burn was the #1 Book in Australia and #2 in the USA and Canada
Our girl Blue scored the easy job. Housesitting for Mr. and Mrs. Snootyville (obviously not their name) but two nights in, the gig is interrupted by 3 cons needing somewhere safe and quite to lay low for a few hours until the heat dies down.
When boredom strikes Blue decides there’s better ways to pass the time in the company of three sexy masked men and Black, Green & Red are happy to oblige.
I really enjoyed this novella. I know most holiday novellas are mostly spice (not that I’ll complain) but TMT actually has a plot. And it’s a very good one. Also the spice hits!
This is a HFN novella so I cannot wait to see what happens next with Blue, Black, Red, Green and little miss skipper!
When I say I need a good plot with some good spice… THIS is exactly what I’m talking about. THE ENDING??? Omg I wasn’t expecting much out of such a short novella but ohhhh my… was I wrong lol. I ate this up!!!!!!!! And I need to find out how this is gonna play out cause it’s set up so perfectly. My girl Blue is BAD ASS!! I WANNA BE LIKE HER WHEN I GROW UP.
What do you mean “to be continued”? 😱 Evil! Oh what a fun book. So many masks 😏 Yes I also prefer Daddy black, although I’d like to spend some more time with Green please.

went in for all the fall feelings and writing was a let down in the beginning, and the FMC is very angry. I did some frustration highlighting on my kindle. every other comment is about money. she shows up to housesit with a “preppy” costume on, her hair dyed blonde and when he notices her car she lies that her Mercedes is in the shop….why? It gets tedious to read.
we started getting some action towards the middle and it improved and picked up at the end but there was a tear shed or some eye watering during sex when they just met that night that felt a bit emo. 🥴 if you’re in the mood for a Halloween why choose without much substance it might just hit the spot! 🧡
AI Generated Cover makes this an IMMEDIATE no. doesn't matter what kind of author you are: indie, self published, trad, STOP fucking over the environment and artists by using AI Image Generation software to give your work a cover. its tacky af. be better.
Morally grey characters. Both male and female. Reverse harem, bdsm, masked men. Lovely story for Halloween. And a thriller like twist. Loved it. Brothers are not my kink. Loved the consensual BDSM and the safe sex practice.
We barely met the characters but they gave enough to understand their characters and make them entertaining. I loved their motivations, especially Blue.
Now I'm distraught about the ending. Like it makes sense but I want what the boys want. Blue.
If you need a little Halloween fun, read this one.
Thoughts: O my gawd!!! These men 🥵🥵🥵. Love Reese Rivers!!! Dying to Love is my all time fave book, BUTTTTT… Black, Green, and Red are 🧑🏻🍳 💋. I gobbled this book up… and the 🌶️ was 🥵🥵🥵
***spoilers - whole story*** Blue is at a house sitting job for a ritzy / snobby couple going on vacation to Europe. The guy has cameras all over and even has one in her room (which she sees). She lost her mom tragically to an illness and they were poor her whole life. She mentions a couple of times she is waiting for something to finish. She goes through the house and decides to wear the woman’s clothes to a Halloween party, dressing up as a blue crayon. Black, Green, and Red barge into the house to hid. They stole money from a guy that conned them and they are trying to lay low. Blue’s sassy mouth is hilarious and they don’t know how to take her, at first. It’s heavy flirting to consenting to pound town!!! They all get it on. Her laptop dings and then she puts her plan into action. She dr%gs the guys and takes money and files from the house owners safe (the ding from her laptop was a program signaling it had finished opening the safe). She leaves without looking back. The guys wake up to a note saying thanks for a good time but gotta jet. She also took the money they stole as well. They decide to go after her. CLIFFHANGER
FMC: Blue MMCs: Black, Red, Green Tropes: holiday, why choose, reverse harem, bondage, sassy fmc, dub-con role play Spice Rating: 3.5 Series: Novella that promises more to come POV: Multiple Cliffhanger: Yes*
*The author indicates the book ends on a slight cliffhanger. A HEA for now for the FMC if you will. However, if you're impatient like me, even that is too much!
Reese Rivers how could you do that to me?! Ugh! I was planning to save this one for closer to Halloween but simply couldn’t help myself. Now I’m kicking myself in the butt because I need more of Blue and the guys! This book simply wet the appetite. It was short, dirty, and the perfect Halloween themed novella. No real names were given to the characters other than identifying colors… which you’ll find out more about when you read it. The colors did make it difficult a few times but then again it can be difficult to keep up when there is more than one hunk featured. Black has to be my favorite! The banter and teasings between Blue and Black were perfect. There is some mysteries unanswered and details that I would love to learn but again it’s a novella so that’s to be expected. All I can do now is wait… impatiently I might add, for more of these characters and to learn what happens when the guys catch up with Blue.
“Trick My Treats” by Reese Rivers is a Halloween treat packed with pure smutty goodness! It follows a wild reverse harem adventure with bondage, knife play (not bloody), and plenty of thrilling surprises. The story brings us red, green, and black, ( the brothers 🫠) running a con needing a place to hide LOL and just when you think you’ve got it figured out, Rivers twists the plot, with blue our FMC pulling tricks that keep you hooked. The chemistry and spicy scenes don’t hold back, at all damn those are damn hot! 🔥making this an absolute page-turner. Can’t wait for book two to see what other tricks Rivers has up her sleeve! But also wanting to know if the brothers find blue!!! There was laughter in this book and some blushing moments it’s a must read!
Trick My Treats is a delightful, spicy, and fun Halloween romance that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The chemistry between the characters is electric, with witty banter and extremely steamy moments that perfectly capture the playful, festive atmosphere. Along the way, there are fun twists and turns that keep the plot exciting and unpredictable. Rivers does a fantastic job blending humor, charm, and just the right amount of heat, making it an ideal read for those looking for something both lighthearted and sultry. The characters are well-developed, and the story moves at a fast, enjoyable pace, leaving you eager for more. A perfect five-star treat for romance fans!
