The fate of the world rests on my shoulders as we hang on the edge of Ragnarök. And I can't catch a freaking break. Not even for ice cream and strippers.

Facing down the monsters of my past left me on the cusp of death, wounded and running from the one person I trusted with my life.

Havoc.

My chosen mate is consumed by a curse so powerful it overrides his natural desire to protect me.

I have no doubt he will kill me if he catches me.

To save us all, I must figure out my connection to the Norse gods, and claim my place in this world.

A journey like no other awaits, and I face it with my best friend at my side, and Havoc at my back.

As my tale (tail) comes to an end I feel the threads of fate weaving a new path I can only reach by making an impossible choice.

I must face not only the one who stands at the center of the darkness but Havoc as well.

Will the ties between us be enough to stay his hand?

** The FINAL book in the Golden Wolf Series and the wild conclusion to Cin and Havoc's story **

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was born into a family of Star Wars nuts. I have a lot of siblings (somewhere I lost count but I think there was more than could be numbered on one hand) and being one of the young padawans I was subjected to Star Wars marathons, on a regular basis. If you've read any of my books you'll see there is often a reference to said movies as a small homage to my upbringing. May the force be with you and all that jazz.

I started writing when I realized I didn't want to grow up not believing in magic, or not believing in creatures everyone else said didn't exist. That being said, I have never seen a fairy, unicorn or dragon. I had a neighbour who swore they fed the leprechauns in their garden, but I never caught the little buggers no matter how long I lay in wait. (And consequently had to help the neighbours plant new flowers to replace those I killed waiting for the leprechauns to show their faces.)

Along the way, I found my husband who is the rock that keeps me from floating away into my dreams, and we have a little boy who is the centre of our world. Living on a farm keeps us busy (as if the writing wasn't enough) and I have more than my share of stories about wrestling with cows, helping birth calves and ending up in the creek during the process, falling in the mud (we'll call it mud but we all know that on a farm, mud is rarely mud) and chasing escaped livestock in the hopes the four legged convicts don't make it to the highway.

I've taken up archery, and the goal is to move into horseback archery in time (you know, when I can hit the target on a consistent basis) and when no one is looking, I love to bake (this doesn't happen often as it's hard to keep the sweet treats in stock with two boys in the house.)

As to what's coming next for me? More stories (since those never stop inside my head, I might as well share them with all of you!) and more adventures. Pretty much, when the fancy strikes, I'll jump on it. Leap before you look I'm sure that motto was created for me.

Or was that . . . think big and dream bigger, ready, set, pull the trigger . . . yeah. That one is a good one too. But only if you have a gun. And are hunting elephants. Which is not cool because of so many reasons. Let's stick with the first one with an addendum.

Leap before you look and let your dreams carry you on their wings. And that, my friends, is me in a nutshell.

I read this as an ARC. I absolutely loved Golden and Glitter and was so excited to get to pick up with Book 3 and the conclusion to Shannon Mayers Golden Trilogy. I can’t stop recommending these books! They are action packed and just the right amount of everything else! Definitely not your standard wolf books, these are layered with the supernatural and Norse Mythology. Definitely not the silly little palette cleanser I thought they would be. The Golden Trilogy is the MAIN EVENT! Cin is such a well written relatable character and we could all consider ourselves lucky with a best friend like Bebe. I really enjoy that love is a part of this story but not I do not consider this a heavy romance or heavy spice book.

A quote that truly moved me from the author’s acknowledgment:
“We need to recognize on its time just breathe deeply and start fresh, where we don’t have to fight so fucking hard to be safe loved and cherished.”

If you liked these books I definitely recommend you check out The Rylee Adamson Series, written by the same author and totally binge worthy!

Gossamer is book 3 in the Golden Wolf trilogy, and it takes you on one wild, fast-paced adventure! It begins right where Glitter left off, and the action just doesn't stop. The plot with magic and mythology, high stakes quest, and the entertaining characters had me so captivated that I finished it within a day!

The characters in this book, especially Cin, Bebe, and even Jor, have such fun, sassy, and lovable personalities! Bebe is still one of my favorite side characters, and I would totally love to have her as a best friend in real life lol.

Although I may have gotten a little teary-eyed towards the end, it was a perfect conclusion for the series that left me smiling with all of the warm and fuzzy feelings.

If you're looking for one heck of a good time with an incredible plot, amusing characters, and these tropes, check out this series!

Tropes:
✨️Slow-burn romances
✨️Found family
✨️Forced proximity
✨️Secret identity,
✨️'Touch her and 💀'
✨️Enemies to lovers
✨️Rejected mate

Thanks so so much to Shannon Mayer, Erica Collins and the Mayer team for the amazing ARC and bookmail! I am SO excited to have this on my shelf! 🙌 I absolutely love anything Shannon writes and PS take a minute to appreciate those incredible chapter titles lol

Wow, what a ride!

This might have easily been my top read of the year.

I ADORE Cin. She reminds me of every badass early Urban Fantasy FMC from the 90s/early oughts in the best way. She's flawed, but she uses those flaws to the best of her abilities. She's doing what she needs to with what has been handed to her. The maturity of her character made this series shine on such a HUGE way to me.

And Bebe. Oh, sweet girl with a heart of gold 😍. Everyone needs a Bebe in their life. If you don't have one, you need one. That sort of platonic love is absolutely necessary in anyone's life.

I loved how effortlessly the mythology and magic systems were woven together. This story was fast paced and had me on the edge of my seat for most of the book.

This was the absolute perfect ending to an incredible trilogy. I can't wait to see where this series goes next.

If you love found family, sloooow burns, enemies to lovers and rejected mates, this series is a must read.

This book was the best one yet.

We have returned for the final book in the series, and it did not disappoint. There was action, emotions, and further character development. We see even more world building and new locations. More characters are introduced, and they are interesting to say the least.

Cin has truly come a long way. She is smart, strong, and a loyal friend that inspires the best in those around her. While she continues to go through many trials, she never gives up. Even when the person she is beginning to fall for turns against her.

Bebe is the best sidekick ever. I love how she constantly encourages Cin and make sure to put other people in their place when they try to come for her. She is witty, fierce, and the perfect second in command.

I had so many emotions in this book. I sobbed at one point. While I would’ve loved to see more of these characters… Epilogue!… The ending felt right as well. I hope to see more stories in this world.

I’m going to have to come back later and give some more coherent thoughts but right now I am just so incredibly disappointed by the ending. It was so rushed and cut off so abruptly.

The way the spice had been building from book 1 and 2, to have it end like that? Like I dont care that overall the book was low on spice. It makes sense since they were pitted against each other for the whole thing. But you still found a creative way to include some throughout the book. And then got to the end and just… nothing? After ALL that? After they finally admit to each other they love each other? After they sacrifice themselves to save each other? We get ✨nothing✨????

You go back and add an epilogue right fucking now, Shannon. How dare you.

This could have, and would have, likely been a 5-star. The first two books were, without hesitation. Just goes to show how an ending can totally overshadow everything else. Seriously so let down 🥲

Wow! What an incredible final installment to Cin and Havoc’s story! I laughed, I cried (hysterically), fell in love, and stayed absolutely riveted from page 1!

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quantity of spice: 🌶️
Quality of spice: 🌶️🌶️.5

Shannon has such a unique way of telling stories that’ll just have you eating it up! The characters are so lovable that they jump right off the page and into your heart for the rest of your life. If I could go back and read this trilogy all over again for the first time, I would!

Cin is on the run from the very start of this book. She’s got the Norse Pantheon with all kinds of plans she is not privy to, two brothers hunting her (or so she thinks), and she’s still uncovering A LOT about herself while carrying this huge burden of knowing she can either save or end the world. I can’t believe this book was only a little over 260 pages because soooo much happened in it!

I mentioned crying hysterically.. there was a portion where I was crying so hard I had to stop reading because I couldn’t see the page 😭🤣 but that just goes to show how much I cared for these characters!

Some of my very favorite things from this book: Jor & Fenrir with their constant need for coffee dates, the visit to the Norns, the description of Hel - she sounded cool as well, Hell 🤣, the trolls and their reference to alligators as scaley-dillys (also Cin calling them croc-a-gators because she didn’t know the difference), and Bebe’s unwavering loyalty & friendship!

There are still so many stories to tell with the remaining players in The Golden Wolf Trilogy! I’m praying for a Bebe/Richard book, a Han redemption, and I’d love to see Ship get his HEA! Honestly whoever it is, if Shannon writes it, I’ll read it!

Thank you so much for the ARC, Shannon and Erica! 💕

I can't believe the Golden Wolf Trilogy has come to a close. It has been such a fun read. Lots of action, twist and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, sizzling spice, and humor that adds lots of fun and memorable moments.
The witty chapter titles never fail to keep me invested and turning the pages.

I have really grown to love these characters. Cin is so strong and determined. Gossamer is a worthy conclusion to the Trilogy. I'm excited for more Shannon Mayer books.

A Golden Ending!

Gossamer is the last book in this series and it’s bittersweet. I love Cin so much, she’s given so much but I’m so glad she has Bebe and everyone to help her along the way. I went through a tidal wave of emotions, the writing is great, puts you right there with Cin and the gang. I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did!

OMG.
The ending to The Golden Wolf series has left me completely speechless. The author completely has outdone herself with the ending. The snark and badass Cin is here and I'm here for it. Her character has grown throughout the series and I feel like it really shines in this installment. I didn't realize how much I missed the characters until I started reading. Bebe and Jor both crack me up. Han and Havoc are both a hot mess and I didn't know how everything would end but I'm very pleased with the ending.
The narrator, Amy Landon did a great job portraying Cin, Bebe and the other characters in the series. I was hooked from the very beginning and Amy kept me engaged till the very end.

If you enjoy Norse mythology, found family, dark fantasy, banter, rejected mates, and redemption be sure to grab this series.

A very special thanks to Hijinks Ink for the gifted ALC.

This book started out sad. Cin was in Jor’s lap in the back of an SUV bleeding out. She was dying. Both Havoc and Han were hunting her. She had passed the sun to Bebe, but no one else knew that. Then, Cin actually died. Her dead mother came to escort her across, but she declined, and then she ended up at the tree of life speaking with the mother of the worlds, learning that her father was the Norse god, Tyr (interesting that in Norse mythology his other name is Mars) . He was the one trying to help her in her dreams all along. She was given a quest to save the dying Tree of Life and then she was returned to life. I was thinking that since she died, didn’t that sever the mate bond with both brothers? Apparently not because she could still access Havoc’s naughty thoughts about her. I long for them to be back together and working together toward a common goal, having each other’s back. I would have loved a POV from him about what he thought of all the encounters he’d had with her including the first time they saw each other. it made me even sadder. That’s not even halfway in the book. Its just like Shannon Mayer to give us no hope. But she did write a badass female MC, and Cin is the one who gave me hope. She has a verbal and mental showdown with both Han and Havoc before Jor agrees to take her away. I remembered my earlier wish to get some of Havoc’s POV about Cin, and I admit that Shannon pulled it off by having Cin see some of Havoc’s memories of her, when they were intimate. So, that both gave me his POV and some more spicy stuff. Brava, Shannon. I truly loved how Shannon put both Han and Havoc in mortal danger where it was up to Cin to rescue them. LOVED THAT! And finally, Havoc and Cin could admit their love for each other. It was epic and what I’d craved the whole time I read through all the strife and misery of Cin’s life. Of course then it was ripped away like tape on skin when After a few hours of reflecting, I decided that this is not one of my favorite stories in this genre. There was too much heartache and not enough fun or love. I don't like being sad for most of the book I'm reading. The cover art is masterful though!

The Golden Wolf series will always have a place in my heart and Gossamer wraps it up beautifully.

It starts off straight from where Glitter ended with Cin and her ride or die bestie Bebe (who is cursed to be a cat!) trying to figure out how to stop Ragnarok – the end of the world as we know it – whilst not sacrificing herself in the process. Not to mention that she’s being hunted by two cursed brothers (one her fated mate, the other her chosen mate) and discovering more shocking facts about her heritage at every turn. The result is a high octane, and completely addictive roller coaster of a ride!

Gossamer effortlessly melds Norse mythology and magic in a modern setting, peppered with shifters, witches, Gods, Valkyries, Trolls and dragons! As well as the fast paced and completely engaging storyline, one of the standout features of this series is the characters. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Cin, Bebe, Havoc and Jor. And even Han at some points . . . They’re believable, relatable and wormed their way into my heart. Cin is one of my all time favourite FMCs. She’s had the hardest life, but she’s a bad a$$ warrior and keeps pushing on. Her character growth across the series is so well written as she learns to trust and open herself up to others, with the support of Bebe’s loyalty and unwavering friendship. Everyone needs a friend like Bebe! A personal cheerleader in cat form, Bebe never failed to fight for Cin and their friendship group and was always ready with a snarky quip or inappropriate humour to brighten up the darkest of moments! I really hope that there’s a book in the pipeline for Bebe and Richard – please Shannon??

Shannon is the Queen of redemption arcs and by the end of Gossamer, I’d fallen in love with the villains from the previous books. None more so than Jor, the Midgard serpent who went from evil villain to an unexpected and loyal ally who stole every scene he was in. I loved his obsession with taking Cin for a coffee date and his sweet desire for friendship. And let’s talk about Havoc . . . hot, brooding, wolf shifting son of a Norse god anyone? His relationship with Cin really steps up emotionally and although parted for much of the story, their chemistry was delicious. I was rooting for the Gods to cut these two some slack and give them their HEA!

I wasn’t prepared for the VERY heart wrenching moments that punched me straight in the guts and I’ll admit that the pages were often blurry towards the end of the book! Rest assured that the pain is worth it as the ending is perfection!

Gossamer is a fun and fast paced tale of the importance of friendship, love and making your own destiny. If you haven’t checked this series out then I can’t recommend it enough!

I’m completely wrecked in the best way possible! 😭 I was not ready for all the feels. My heart stopped at least fifteen times while reading—seriously, the emotional rollercoaster was unreal! Cin is hands down the most flawed but incredible FMC I’ve ever seen. Watching her mature over the course of the series was amazing. Every character’s growth was so well done, and the way their stories intertwined kept me hooked. 🌟 There were so many twists and secrets revealed, I didn’t even have a chance to catch my breath!

Cin and Havoc? Ugh, they had me swooning even when they were fighting each other 💔. The tension between them was so intense, and despite everything, you could feel their connection. Havoc’s curse and Cin’s struggle to save him made every moment between them feel so much more precious. And don’t even get me started on Bebe! Bebe was the best friend every heroine needs. 💖 The platonic love between her and Cin was just beautiful. We all need a Bebe in our lives.

The mythology and magic systems were flawlessly woven together with the Norse gods and legends, creating such a rich, immersive world. 🐺⚔️ The story was fast-paced, full of action, and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! The fate of the world hanging in the balance, Ragnarök looming, and Cin having to figure out her connection to the gods while Havoc, her cursed mate, hunted her—it was everything you could want in a dark fantasy. ✨

I still can’t believe it’s over, and I need more of Cin, Havoc, and Bebe! This book left me with so many emotions I didn’t know what to do with. 😭💔 If you’re a fan of slow burns, found family, enemies-to-lovers, and rejected mates, this series is an absolute must-read.

Perfect for fans of:
🐺 Slow burn
💀 Enemies to lovers
💔 Rejected mates
🥺 Found family
🗝️ Secret identity
🏰 Dark fantasy
🧙‍♂️ Fairy tale retelling
🔒 Forced proximity
🔥 Touch her and ☠️
✨ Mythology/magic systems
⚔️ Norse mythology
💕 Platonic love
🌪️ High-stakes action
🌑 Flawed MCs
🎭 Secrets and twists

Huge thanks to Shannon Mayer for the ARC! 🌟 I need more of this world!

**Gossamer** by Shannon Mayer is an absolute gem and a fitting conclusion to The Golden Wolf series. Mayer masterfully blends action, unexpected twists, and a touch of romance, creating a dark fantasy world that is both immersive and thrilling. The characters are richly developed, and the themes of found family and secret identities add depth to the narrative.

The slow-burn romance and the "touch her and die" trope are executed perfectly, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic and the concept of rejected mates bring an emotional intensity that resonates deeply. Mayer's writing is vivid and engaging, making it easy to get lost in the story.

Overall, **Gossamer** is a must-read for fans of dark fantasy and romance. It's a powerful, emotional journey that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended!

I wanted to also share a part of the Acknowledgements at the end of the book. It captures the heart of this book and I felt this deep within my soul and hope that this will encourage you to read the series 🫶

This is the perfect read for the spooky season. Who doesn’t love talking cats, insane Norse Pantheon deities, rejected and chosen mates, black magic and spells gone wrong!

Magical. Gossamer was an amazing conclusion to the trilogy. I devoured the entire series in less than a week. The Golden Wolf has easily became one of my favorite reads that I’ve read this year.

I loved how Gossamer illustrates some major redemption ARCs for some past characters. All the truths you’ve been seeking are slowly unfolded throughout the book. Mayer expertly trickles in hilarious scenarios to lighten up the heart wrenching moments. Throw in a big O while dangling midair from a Valkyrie harnessed plane? Sure why not. Putrid smelling 14ft trolls wearing daisy dukes - totally normal.

I thoroughly enjoyed the banter of the crew throughout their quest. Jor has easily became my favorite character (tied with Bebe of course). This book was all about paving your own way and deciding your own fate, and I really loved that. I’m sad to see it end but loved the journey so much!

Thank you to Shannon for an ARC!

Okay, I have to get my brains in order to write this review. This was such an amazing conclusion to this action packed series! All of our favorite characters are back in this one, and it is the end of the world! Will Cin be able to stop it? Or will she cause it? Read the book to find out!

While I love the relationship between Cin and Havoc, my ultimate all-time favorite relationship is Cin and Bebe. They are literally probably my favorite part of these books. I love how they interact, I love their back and forth, I love their personalities together. I adore them. I adore how we get to see such a strong female friendship, one that isn't broken by betrayal or hurt, but is a solid, good friendship. We get those so rarely in paranormal stories. Best friends are often there to separate the main character from her love interest. Not this series.

Honestly, this book was so action packed, we flew from one point to the next so quickly. I couldn't believe it when I finished it. I was like ??? what?? it's over? I really don't think there were any moments that were dull in this book.

As I've said previously I love the mythology in this series, and I think Shannon has done such a wonderful job of "modernizing" it. I love how elements are pulled from the myths we know and combined in a new way.

This was such an amazing conclusion to the series, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better ending. I do want to see stories of some of our favorite side characters though! I think there are some amazing ones that could be told!

Gossamer is the final book in The Golden Wolf trilogy bringing Cin’s journey to an end. After the events of the previous book, I was curious to know whether Cin will have a happy or bittersweet ending.
The flashbacks were a nice touch which I really appreciate to refresh my memory and keep me up to speed.

This book is also more action-packed seeing Cin is on the run from the villain.
Numerous secrets about Cin, about Ragnarok and the prophecies are revealed and it was fascinating to see some of the Norse Gods made an appearance as Cin sought out their help to save the realms.

One of the standout characters from this book is Bebe, the cat – Cin’s best girlfriend.
Their strong friendship is heart-warming and Bebe’s sarcastic comments always liven up the story!
Another favourite of mine is Jor, the fun and selfless Midgard Serpent. I would definitely go on a coffee date with him!

While I enjoyed this book, I couldn’t say the same with how the romance unfolded. Cin and Havoc’s interactions were sparse, and I would have loved to see more of them as they finally stopped fighting their feelings for each other.

Overall, this is a highly entertaining, fast-paced book. Everything was wrapped up quite nicely, I really enjoy seeing Cin’s character grow throughout the trilogy.
I’m looking forward to see if this series might continue with a different couple, as I’m not quite ready to leave this captivating world.

I received an advanced review copy for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily!

Gossamer, this book like the first two in this series is amazing. The characters are well developed, the world building is wonderful and the story moves at a great pace. I have loved reading Cin and Havoc's story.
If you have not read the first two books in the "Golden Wolfs series" Golden and Glitter, I encourage you to do so before you read this book, otherwise I do not think you will fully appreciate the story.
Cin is such a strong female protagonist, she loves her friends and is willing to die for them. Cin is tasked with saving the world from chaos and ruin, so far she has risen to that task and almost lost her life in doing so. Just when everyone thinks things can't get worse they do. Cin has to overcome death only to face it again. She has gained two of her brothers back, but has lost Havoc to the dark spells of Sven.
The love story between Cin and Hovoc is so sweet, and honestly Han her fated mate turns out not to be a horrible person once he is free of Svens magic. Jor is probably one of my favorite characters in this series. The snake Jor has a wicked sense of humor. Bebe, Cin's best friend is another one that I love. Everyone needs a best friend like Bebe.
If you love action and adventure, fantasy and a touch of heat this book will not let you down. Just make sure you have time to read it, because you will not want to put it down, also make sure you have some tissues on hand. This book will make you laugh, cry, get angry and it will make you feel good.

ARE YOU READY? I wasn’t. I didn’t want this amazing story to end. I have fallen deeply in love with Cin, Bebe, Havoc (most of the time), and all of the other amazing characters who have helped Cin grow in strength and determination to figure this mystery out.

We started off right back into the story where Glitter left us, and I don’t think there was a moment when I wasn’t on the edge of my seat, or biting my nails with anxiety, or grasping my chest from all the heartache it was giving me. It was one HELL of an anxiety inducing and adrenaline packed rollercoaster ride from beginning to end!!

Secrets are slowly being revealed, even though some bring out more questions than answers. Layers of the story are slowly being pealed back. So you might want to hang on tight because things are going to get pretty intense before the final showdown begins.

Cin is really battling it out with all the insane surprises and eye-opening truths coming at her continually. Plus having to protect her new pack, keep herself alive, and save the world, I am surprised she didn’t have more meltdowns than she did.

The plot is filled with action, suspense, heartache, magic, mythology, adrenaline inducing moments and many laughs. But there were a few moments that had me in tears too.

Such an amazing conclusion to this phenomenal fantasy series. The emotional turmoil contained within, just poured off the pages and into my heart. The imagery and world building was exceptional, but it always is when you have Shannon at the helm writing her heart out.

Absolutely phenomenal!!!

An Epic Finale Full of Heart-Pounding Adventure!

Shannon Mayer has absolutely outdone herself with this final book in the Golden Wolf Series! From start to finish, this story is a rollercoaster of action, emotion, and suspense that kept me hooked on every page. Cin’s journey is one of strength, resilience, and heart as she faces down impossible odds, from confronting Norse gods to navigating her complex bond with Havoc. The stakes couldn’t be higher as she races against time to prevent Ragnarök, and I was on the edge of my seat for every twist and revelation.

The tension between Cin and Havoc is intense and beautifully written, adding depth to the high-stakes fantasy. Shannon Mayer masterfully blends humor (yes, even ice cream and strippers!), heartbreak, and redemption in a way that made me feel deeply connected to the characters. Cin’s growth and determination are inspiring, and Havoc’s struggle with his curse only makes their bond more powerful.

This book is a brilliant and satisfying conclusion to the series. It ties up all the threads while leaving me wanting to go back and experience it all over again. If you’ve been following Cin and Havoc’s journey, you won’t be disappointed. This finale is everything I hoped for and more – an unforgettable adventure with characters that feel like family. Highly recommend to all fantasy lovers!

What a perfect ending. Shannon always manages to put twists to her endings and surprise us. Every time! Definitely had tears at the end and very emotional but this book is also a perfect wrap up that keeps everyone coming back. That and the characters, action and twists. You just never know. Even now after having Cin and Havoc’s story come to and end I’m ready for more! You grow to love her other characters to the point you want their stories to continue and get the scoop on each of their lives, history and what’s to come. I sure hope more is to come but until then don’t pass up Cins story! We follow her and root for her from the start as she runs from her family and pack as they are trying to kill her. We watch her discover who she really is and her purpose in life. We grow with her and her family, that she chooses, along the way. Following them on their adventures to save the world from ragnarok. Mischief and action , a little bit of heat and passion and the love of family and friends. Perfect!! Plus Loki…… so need we say more. Come check it out if you’re looking for a 3 part series ( maybe more) to get lost in. You won’t want to put it down! Even though you can read this as a stand alone I’d recommend starting at the beginning. You won’t regret it.

The sun shines where?

Shannon Mayer has such an amazing catalog of books. The way she builds worlds and creates these stories that pull you in is nothing short of perfection. Like so many of her other books, Gossamer is a great story. I always enjoy reading her books because they drag you in and make you forget you’re reading a book. Not to mention her character and sidekick relationships are enviable to anyone reading her stories. Cin and Bebe’s relationship is so beautiful to watch unfold. The lengths that they are willing to go to save each other literally brought a tear to my eye. I had to take a second to stop reading because it’s so rare that we get to see platonic love take such a major role in a story where there is a romantic relationship already occurring. Mayer always has the best sidekicks and they do so much to help and the MC and push the story forward. They lend strength and provide some comedy but Cin and Bebe just have a little something extra. I’m so sad to see their story end but what an ending it was. I love watching any strong female character come into her own and be the hero the story needs.

WOW!! Adventure abounds!!

I really didn’t know what could be next for our beloved duo but this book delivers!!

Starting off right where the last book left off, Cin and Bebe find themselves on a trip like no other. Of course, they bring on the laughs through all of it.

Not only do we learn more of our wonderful (and not so wonderful) cast of characters and their pasts, we watch them grow even more in this amazing book. It’s incredible to see how far Cin and Bebe have come in such a “short” time. Proof that people and places can change you in all the best ways.

We meet many new characters in new worlds. Such amazing things!! Shannon is one of the best world builders I’ve read. I don’t want to give away anything, so that’s where I will leave that.

What will happen to all our wonderful (and not so wonderful) cast of characters?? Get in your favorite reading mode and be ready for ALL the feels!! Including the Acknowledgments!! I had just stopped crying and started crying again at how wonderful it is!

One of my favorite quotes: “I did not want this on my bingo card!” LOL.

My poor heart can't accept the fact that this series is now over!! This urban, paranormal fantasy features shifters, witches, vampires, dragons. ghouls, trolls, and Norse Gods - what's not to love.

This installment reminded me of a paranormal, very adult, Percy Jackson mash up. We are given high-stakes quests, fast-paced action, found family, forced proximity, magical curses, witty humor and several redemption character arcs. The story had a perfect balance between mythological stories, steamy romance, perfect banter and a secret identity mystery.

Cin, the girl has grown so much over the series while battling literal destiny. She has amazing mental fortitude, fierce loyalty and a fantastic sense of humor.

Bebe, the bestest of best girlfriend/animal sidekick. She stole my whole heart and I am praying to ALL the Gods that we get a interconnected series for her.

This book had me on the edge of my seat and literally in tears. The acknowledgement at the end of the book just brought out more water works. I can't wait to see what Shannon brings us next.

Gossamer by Shannon Mayer
The Golden Wolf Series Book 3

First off, I’m seriously sad that this particular part of the series is over. I fell for these characters. Shannon did such a great job bringing out their personalities, growth, the trauma that occurred, the healing etc.

It picked right back up from the cliffhanger of Glitter. Bebe and Jor are def my favorites besides Cin & Havoc. They kept the story going with their commentary. Cin & Havoc are just end game for me, one of my favorite book couples. And yall Han?! What a twist!

If you’re looking for Norse Mythology, found family, slow burn, rejected and chosen mates, secret identify and more, this is THE trilogy for you. Thank you Shannon for allowing me to ready this beauty, 5 ⭐️ any day.
