I like the concept of the book. You can know how, when and where you are going to die. You get to know and to avoid your death, but it comes with consequences... You become immortal but die in your nightmares with horrible pain every night.
Would you accept it? And what would happen to your life if you were to accept? What if your life changed and became horrible? And what would happen when your family dies and you become alone?

Overall I loved to see the relationships between the characters develop. It features a non binary main character and has different love interest. We also get to see the friendship bloom between characters and learn more about the person making the deals.

I did like it overall. I also think it is very well written. 🥰

I'm so happy I got to ARC read this book. I really enjoyed it. It was definitely a different story. It didn't feel like something I've read before and it was so refreshing.
The end was great. No cliffhanger at all, and the twist at the end was a pleasant surprise.
If you like paranormal fiction, definitely give this a read. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This book was a great pallet cleanser. In this book you follow a group of individuals with diverse backgrounds who made a deal with a man to cheat death, but what they didn’t realize was a consequences for the deal that was made.

Throughout this book you follow this diverse group of individuals through their trials, and tribulations in order to break the curse that was placed on them for the deal that they had made with a stranger.

This isn’t your typical magical supernatural. Read the twist and turns will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

Would you risk it all just to be immortal?

Enjoyed this so much. It really made me think about immortality and the question of is it a blessing or a curse. Kept me wanting more throughout. I ate it up. Also love that there are LGBTQIA friendly characters as well. Will def be reading more from this author.

I was given this as an ARC with the freedom
To review or not. I chose to review become I enjoyed it.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author. The story was very interesting and made you consider whether immortality would indeed be a blessing or a curse. The characters were very diverse and LGBT+ friendly, which I loved. There were tropes of found family, magic, supernatural, good versus evil and a sprinkling of romance. Overall it was a fast and intriguing read!

This book was a great pallet cleanser from what I normally read and I could not put it down. It kept me at my edge of the seat and going thru the emotions as the gang work together to find a way to break their immortal curse they asked for. It’s such a different type of story but similar in the ways of magic but so good as well lol I definitely recommend the read. Might reread it again very soon lol

Loved it!! The book follows strangers that ban together to figure out how to break a deal that causes them to live forever (but with consequences)! The characters quickly become a family feeding off each other strengths and weaknesses. I cried at the end thinking they weren't going to get a happy ending but an angel saved them all! (Surprising twist) Would love this to become a series where the rest of the books goes more into the past and the backstories!!

Would you make a deal to save yourself from death?

Immortals is about Chris who is minding their own business in a cafe when they are approached by an interesting man who offers them a deal to save them from their imminent death. Some deals aren't always what they seem and this deal takes a ton of twists and turns. I really enjoyed this story! The characters are extremely likeable. It tried my hand at guessing how this would end but I never saw it coming! I highly recommend giving this book a shot I was very pleasantly surprised by it.

Talk about a book that's amazingly original, inventive, and action packed!! A story about found family amongst strangers who find themselves in the same situation. A deal to cheat death and live forever was suppose to be amazing. Immortal but in an eternal hell all in their own way. Cursed to live out their lives feeling like outsiders, they all deal with their own trials and struggles that keep you sucked in to the story. As they work together to break the curse they find what they need in each other as well. A Very different kind of read that will entrance you and keep you turning the pages with tons of twists, characters you want to follow along with, has paranormal magical vibes, fast paced, oh and did I mention it ended on a cliffhanger! I died at the end, so will you! I feel like this book could be YA into adult, does have LGBTQ representation, you follow a non-binary MMC. Overall a step of of my norm but a refreshing change of pace I think I needed.

Would you strike a deal to prevent death? But at what cost? This story is about a group of diverse individuals brought together by a deal they made. The story is definitely intriguing and Pam Floyd does a great job bringing it together.

I loved seeing the development of the friendships and found family. You even have some romance. As the story develops you have suspense and many twists along the way, so be prepared. This is definitely nothing like I’ve ever read before.

Thank you to author Pam Floyd for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I really look forward to reading more of her work in the near future.

Immortals was an interesting detour from the books I typically read (high fantasy, thriller, romance) and I enjoyed the road it took me down. You follow a group of strangers who have all made a mysterious deal that gives them the knowledge of when and how they are going to die which I think is a cool concept!

The book features a non-binary main character which I thought was great for positive representation, and was my first experience reading a book from this POV. My only feedback regarding this would be that it sometimes became difficult to follow the flow of conversation between characters where multiple pronouns were being used in the same sentence or thought, which at times took me out of the plot just a bit. That being said though, I think the LGBTQ/pride friendly elements of this book are a wonderful inclusion that other authors should strive for!

I was invested in the characters (Taylor being my personal fave and most relatable!) and was eager to find out where this journey was going to take them! Elements of found family made this book heartwarming and you really wanted to see the characters succeed.

Overall, well done to Pam Floyd for creating this world and story, I’d be eager to see where this book goes and if it develops into a series!

This book was a welcomed detour from my normal fae smut and sci-fi/fantasy. I was lucky enough to be an ARC for this debut novel by Pamela Floyd and I can say I would happily sign on for additional titles by this author. Immortals has a little something for every interest. As the title suggests, immortality is absolutely a focal point, but the age-old “everything comes with a price” puts a unique spin on this story. The characters are diverse, especially featuring a non-binary MC, but are well written to have a cohesive feel which lends to the “found family” trope. The supernatural/magic tie in keeps the story fresh and the writing gives you a fair amount of roller coaster emotions leading up to some unexpected twists and turns while having. I would highly recommend this book and author to anyone looking for something familiar but also outside their comfort zone.

I received this book an ARC read in exchange for an honest review. I went into this story not knowing all that much other than it would be a paranormal/New Adult read. I loved the concept and plot of the story. I appreciated that the MC was non-binary, as to represent the lgbtq community. Again the plot, twists and turns, found family all drew me in. My only complaint is that it is in third person and at times I had to reread a paragraph as I was unsure if it was referring to the MC (using they/them pronouns) or the group of characters as a collective. For that reason, it took some of the enjoyment out of reading the book. (Also I am a first person reader mostly). Overall, 3.75/5.

Deadly deals, Immortal heroes, Good VS Evil.

**I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review on all of my social media platforms.**

Follow a motley crew of characters into an action packed adventure to make right a deal gone wrong.

This book was action packed and filled to the brim with characters that were all so unique! When I wasn’t snickering at witty one liners, I was swept up in the action or feeling soft hearted at the ‘found family’ vibes that are so present in this novel. I loved that the author had such a wide inclusion range for race and sexual orientation, it was honestly refreshing to have such a diverse cast of main characters.

If you’re into fantasy books that move fast this is for you, as this book wastes no time.

A group of very different people, at different times in their lives, make a deal with a really freaky man in order not to die. Then they learn it’s an immortal curse. Follow them as they find each other and work together to find a way to break the curse. Unfortunately, it’s not an easy journey. This was my first step into the fantasy genre and it was an awesome one. As each chapter ended, I wanted to keep going to see what happened next. It was very well written and a very enjoyable story.

Chris didn’t grow up wealthy but after creating several successful apps at a young age they’ve managed to create a lush life for their family. After meeting a stranger in a cafe Chris has an opportunity to make a deal. Write a check to this mysterious stranger in exchange for immortality. With a combination of Wealth and immortality Chris’s morals may be put to the test. The deal is made and all seems well until Chris bans up with other misfits that struck the same deal. Quickly realizing that there is more to the deal than Chris originally realized the group must work together to protect the people they love and find a way to break the curse.

The Immortals is a mystery adventure story filled with found family and LGBT/gender fluid characters. Despite some heavy elements that surround LGBT Pamela Floyd does a great job at representing each character and dismantles stereotypes. This was a really fun book filled heart worming characters, tense moments and an unpredictable ending.

Thank you for my copy of this ARC. It is a book that I enjoyed, and I found it easy and fast to read. Perhaps at times, I felt the story was a bit rushed, but the storyline itself was enthralling, and I loved the characters!
Edit - wanted to include that I hope this becomes a book series especially due to how it ended. The story itself is so good!
Tropes - found family, budding romance & mystery.

First, thank you to Pamela Floyd for finding me and letting me be one of the first to read this amazing story! It immediately grabbed my attention, and held it. (I mean, look at that cover!). The author does a beautiful job creating a narrative that easily introduces you to this world.

From the time Chris is introduced, they are likable, and I wanted to see them get their happy ending. The detail paid to describe the setting and the diverse attire of the characters makes it even easier to get lost in and follow the story. I also loved the supernatural element in the story, and I hope the author has plans for future books to get into the characters' backgrounds and histories.

Overall, "The Immortals" is a compelling novel with a mix of fantasy and real-world struggles, offering readers an engaging and thought-provoking experience. I truly can not wait for the author to write more books around these characters' stories - I'm BEGGING for more of their backgrounds and history!

I really enjoyed this book. The idea of immortality is super cool, especially in the way that this author put it throughout her book. I'm pleased with this book and I read whenever I got the chance! Especially since it's hard for me to find books I actually enjoy reading.

This book is fantastic. The story is original, and fun. The characters have so much personality. No joke I found myself snorting, and laughing often at one in particular. When I tell you I loved this book I LOVED this book. It was a nice change from the same old fantasy with a new twist. This was completely different and I am so glad I got to read it.

This Fantasy romance book is a refreshing experience.
The story is unlike anything you’ve read before.
The characters are full of emotional depth, and personality.
The romance is clean, and never distracts from the plot. Only adding to it.
The book remains enchanting until the last page.
The excitement remains consistent, never leaving your mind to wander.
The ending is a immaculately written to wrap up the book and any lingering questions.

This book was so unique and interesting. I have never read one like it before, and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this.

The main character is nonbinary, and I enjoyed reading from their POV. Each one of the characters are drastically different, yet they come together as a “found family” so well. I love the different background stories for each one. Seeing how they come together to push against the deal maker, as well as following the love interests was fun.

This story is very interesting, and it was a great read. I’ve already recommended it to a few friends, and I’ll continue to recommend it!

This book is this author’s debut novel. And it did NOT disappoint. It was pretty much everything I expected when I had signed up for the ARC, but yet it also so much more. Found family, as they work together to unravel the curse they are all bound to. I cried, I laughed, I gasped. I do hope there will be more books in the series to go more in to the backgrounds and pasts of all of the characters. But it was also a nice standalone. I will def be reading this again once it releases and I can get a physical copy and notate it in more detail and have a more detailed review at that point. But right now I don’t want to spoil it for anybody. This book is a MUST READ before the end of 2023!

A four star is basically a 5 star for me... keeping that in mind. I loved this read! Watching a group of strangers come together to become a "family" to learn about their so-called curse together, to protect, to love... and to sacrifice. The representation from so many walks of life showed that we, in the end, are the same. It's what's on the inside. I can't wait to read more from this author... this book is worth the read and highly recommended!

As a primarily dark romance reader, this story is nothing like what I normally read. I was an interesting turn of events. It's a story about a group of connected individuals defying an evil entity for the good of others. The ending was definitely a surprise I did not anticipate. If you like books where misfits band together against a common enemy, then this book is probably the one for you. Think Percy Jackson without all of the mythology.
